CnC Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 There have been several solutions to the dreaded fresh water tank drain valve location. I had not seen this DIY "fix" to the problem. Now it's easy to drain the tank when needed without lifting and straining to reach the valve in the bottom of the hull. By leaving the factory valve in place, it can be used if winter weather becomes worrisome. Charlie 1 2 Arizona | 2020 Oliver Elite II Twin bed Hull #617 | 2021 Ram 1500 e-Hemi 4x4
Moderator+ ScubaRx Posted March 29, 2023 Moderator+ Posted March 29, 2023 I always just open the existing drain valve when we are 25 miles or so from home and let it go. Our valve is very easy to get to. 3 Steve, Tali and our dog Rocky plus our beloved dogs Storm, Lucy, Maggie and Reacher (all waiting at the Rainbow Bridge) 2008 Legacy Elite I - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #026 | 2014 Legacy Elite II - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #050 | 2022 Silverado High Country 3500HD SRW Diesel 4x4
Patriot Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 No issues with reaching my drain valve either, then again at 6’3 I have fairly long reach/arms. I usually open the valve at home and just water the yard.
