Thank you John and Bill very much for the info. I was afraid of blowing the fuse running one without 30amp.

What is a decent ceramic heater for the Oliver? I have my trailer plugged into standard house current and not sure on what type of heater I should get. For the colder nights I would like to have something powerful enough to keep the tanks from freezing.

I do have a question. What do you guys use too polish the bumper?

Thanks you Bill! Hope ya have a great day!!!

Wow it sure feels great washing my Oliver and sitting back and seeing a job well done! I wonder if anyone else does this?

Congratulations, and may you have many awesome adventures!

Have I missed the window for making reservations for the rally? I would like to attend and learn more about my trailer.
thanks

Being that I'm a visual learner I really appreciate "how to" videos. Can you guys show how to lube theVIP 3000 POWER JACK? The instructions in the manual are unclear to me.
thanks George

My trailer is haul #216 and I did the suggested test by not hooking up the trailer and plugging the 7-way plug into my TV and I went from 12.6 to 13.5 in about 10 minutes having the truck idling. . If I understand correctly my TV is charing my batteries using this method. I've been following this thread and thanks folks for sharing the info.

Thank you very much for the info!

I was wondering what you use for lube for the black and grey tank valves and how often should you use the lubricant?

I went to CO in Aug and I really enjoyed San Luis state park. The view from this free camp site is amazing. Each afternoon the winds would pick up the sand from the dunes and look like rain. I was told the state park had a issue with the water and somehow lost its status as being a state park. Nice view of the dunes.

Thanks Mike and Carol for sharing this!

Welcome Rodney & Rene! I'm also retired military and have never owned a travel trailer. For me it was a little intimidating at first but like others have mentioned the folks at Oliver are top notch and the experience here on this forum is great. I wish you guys well and hope you enjoy your Oliver as much as my wife and I do.

When I was at the Oliver rally in May I won this tool http://www.levelcheck.com/us/ and recently noticed one of my tanks is getting low. Once I refill I'll get a better understanding how accurate it is.

I thought all Veterans could use these camp sites. I guess I was wrong! I did read the info on the location I'm currently at and I guess you must be retired or 100% disabled. http://www.militarycampgrounds.us/louisiana/new-orleans-nas-campground

Thanks Mike! You sure got that right about the price. I'm also impressed with how clean these military rv places are.

After several dr appointments and other things life throws at you I must say it sure feels great being in the Oliver again. We Are in New Orleans and the heat and humidity are intense. I must say the Ollie A/C sure does one awesome job keeping us comfortable. We even got our first shower last night and I was pleasantly surprised how great it was. I'm also happy with the drivers side awning we had put in. The nice thing about that is you can open it enough just to block the sun from shinning in the windows. I'm at a Naval base with full hook ups so I can get a better understands of my tank readings. Overall I must say I'm impressed with our Ollie!

Thank you very much Bill! My wife and I are excited about checking out New Orleans.

geO – I think that we paid more than $20/night at the Jude Travel Park in New Orleans, but, Jude was fairly close to the French Quarter (10 miles or so). If you have not already, try doing a “Search” for New Orleans on this Forum. I wrote a trip summary including New Orleans and there are several other mentions of it there. Have a fun and safe trip! Bill
Thanks Bill! I'll do a search!

Still in the learning phase of traveling and thus far I've learned making reservations early in the week lands you more opportunity. Found a nice little site just outside New Orleans for $20, not bad for full hook ups and the location.

We picked up on the 27th of May (haul #216) and with exception of the grey tank indicator acting funky and ill fitting upholstery everything seems to be operating well. Oh I did notice today rust pitting on both 30amp receptacles from all the rain we've had here in Alabama.

Brad, we are picking our Elite II on July 5. Maybe we’ll see you guys. Any ideas on which other nearby campgrounds we might stay at. We thought we’d stay local for at least two nights – just in case. It’s a long way to Bryan, Texas where we live. Congrats! Cash’s
My wife and I enjoyed this nice boondocking spot. https://freecampsites.net/#!1082&query=sitedetails

Great info John and thanks for helping me understand the electrical system in the Oliver.
Mike I like how compact the Vornado is and I think I'm going to get one.
Thank you all!
