Now, I'm not an Engineer, bur simply deal in "real world" values. That means my search for information begins at the weight certification sticker on the front of the unit it's self. Here is a look. The next stop in my calculations is at the closet sticker. Here is a look at it. Based on these givens, I arrive at the following. Trailer Weights GVWR= 7,000 lb. Dry Weight= 4,600 lbs. Tongue Weights= 420 lbs. Water and Propane= 320 lbs. This gave me a rating of 2,500 lbs. of weight that might possibly be added by the owner. If we want a 10% safety margin, we subtract that from the possible weight, leaving us with 1320 pounds of groceries, clothing and bedding. Now, that's a lot of "stuff" ! And the cool thing is that we still have a comfortable 10% margin !

So, just how well will the Legacy II Boondock in weather extremes, you might ask ? I was curious myself, because of the interior being cool at mid day, when we were in Quartzsite Arizona, with not even the fan on. Here is a look at the outside lower hull just after the carefully placed insulation is put in place, on it's inside.

Hi you guys ! Welcome !

The 2014 Oliver legacy II has the greatest flood lights, four of them. They really light things up, here is a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWNuJFL6v3g

The molded fiberglass community has, in the past, mostly had to install after market back up lights. The factory's Backup Lights on the 2014 Oliver Legacy II, end that trend and they really light up the night ! Here is a look.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpY3pB19REc

Good report Sherry ! ScubaRx modified a suction cup hook to work as the coolest bathroom door "holder opener" . For those that have their cat's litterbox by the commode, that is a nifty thing. Hey Steve, got any pix left ?

Welcome ! Great introduction ! Six footers are often amazed to find plenty of room in the Legacy II. Maybe you can flee the cold and give the new Legacy II a walk through in Quartzsite . harm & bett

DCKiefer kind of pioneered this move, and I note that the Legacy II closet light is similar in location. Ya' just gotta' love it when a Owner pioneers a Mod and the factory follows their lead !

It seems as though those evenings around a crackling campfire have been very productive in the slang language department. I don't remember just who first coined the term "Stripper Pole" when referring to the chrome tubing dinette back rest and brace, on the 17' Legacy Elite. But, one thing is for sure, it immediately stuck and has became a full fledged member of the "Oliver Speak" language. Then there is a term that probably evolved in the molded fiberglass community somewhere. The "Scare Light", is a outside flood light that can be turned on from the inside when a noise is heard outside. The 2014 Legacy II has four of them, two on each side, and Betty and I recently videoed a night time test of them. How effective are they ? Here is a look so you can see for your self. Clickable link to the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWNuJFL6v3g

It took awhile for things to slow down enough that Betty could cover the front while I cleared the cookies from this laptop, and now I have the latest updated Forums. SWEET ! We are at the Oliver Travel Trailers Show Site in Quartzsite Arizona, showing the Oliver Legacy II at the Desert Gardens Show Grounds. Come by to visit or call us at 479-243-5450.

Hey Steve ! I approved you this morning. You have full permissions. Enjoy. -
Our forums have been such a great success for our 17' owners that we are looking forward to adding new topic matter for the 22'er as it is seen more and more out on the highways of North America. So, 22' owners don't be bashful ! Jump right on in here and tell us about your experiences ! Our forums moderators Steve and Tali, posting as SCUBARX, have a new 22'er on the way so we are looking forward to hearing from them. Their past posts about mods and so forth have been a pleasure for our readers, as well as helpful to info seekers. As you may suspect, our forums may well become more and more of a information database than a chat room for members. Our forums have been changing ever since the FACEBOOK OLIVER TRAVEL TRAILERS page became ever so popular. Here is a link to the FACEBOOK GROUP: https://www.facebook.com/groups/306440109482944/ if you haven't joined the group yet, just go to the link and send a join request. We will be glad to have you there ! Oliver ownership not required.

After exchanging phone calls with Charity and Robert, it looks as though someone has been able to sort out the technical issues. My last communication with them we exchanged info and they were talking to the IT folks. Thanks for your persistence, you guys ! Looks like it paid off and we are back !

I just talked to the Forums Grand Administrator who is looking into New Member sign up procedures. I recieved a email from Owner Antonio Gonzalez who was having trouble getting on the forums. I sent Antonio a friend request on FaceBook so we don't loose contact while Jonathan is working on the log in thing. Does anyone know of someone else that is trying to get on the forums without success ? Also I am wondering about starting a Facebook page for Oliver Owners to help with this. Any one have thoughts on this ?

This evening Buffalo Bob and I were talking about Twitter and it's uses. Don't know if he's gona' register for a Twitter account or not, but we can always hope ! I recieve messages about updates from websites such as small Rv's and teardrops, with a clickable link. When Chris and Cherrie update their blog or web site I get a twitter message. Their twitter handle is:@Technomadia. Not every one thinks facebook is ok and some view Twitter as more secure. So, how about it ? Lets hook up on Twitter ! My twitter handle is: @mountainborn Just type @mountainborn into the search window and it will bring up my profile page. Then click on the follow button please !

Most of us that have been around the Oliver Trailer Factory, or know someone that works there have heard talk about "tubs". And we understand that Oliver industries makes lots of other products besides the Legacy trailer line. Want to see more of the stuff that Oliver manufactures ? Here is a link to a website that will give a good look at the tubs. Safe Step walk-in tub company link: http://www.safesteptub.com/
