  1. I started towing our Elite II with an F-150 gasser. I had enough power but was limited in payload capacity. Also, with a 1/2 ton pickup you have to use the weight distribution hitch, which can be a pain to put on at times. I needed to buy a newer truck a couple of seasons ago, due to mechanical issues with an older truck (not towing realted), so I now tow with a Silverado 2500 HD, 3/4 ton also running on gas. The benefits are not needing to use a weight distribution hitch, and an extra 1000 pounds of payload capacity. It's amaxzing how much gear you may want to carry. Add in 36 gallons of gas when weight is a consideration. Gas vs diesel is a personal choice. My Silverado is my daily driver, and it actually gets better gas mileage that my F-150 did.
  2. Hi, my curb side rear stabilizer stopped working while I was lowering it. Does anyone know the location for it's fuse?
  3. Good idea. Never thought about a sensor for the truck spare, but makes sense if I put one on the Ollie spare to also do the truck.
  4. Thanks for all the responses. Turns out the RV dealer where I had brought the Ollie for bearings and grease job had sent out the wheels to a tire shop near them to have the valve stems replaced. Not wanting to drive the extra fifty miles again, I solved my problem by putting the spare on the Ollie and bringing the affected wheel to a good local tire shop, only a few miles away, who showed me that the valve stem used had a poor seal. They replaced it with a metal brass stem (the tech didn't know the brand, they get them in bulk as they do a lot of fleet work on E rated truck tires) and balanced the tire. I went home, brought the Ollie back with the spare on and they changed the remaining 4 valve stems and installed the sensors for me. An hour later the Ollie was back home, all 5 tires are good with no air leaking. I'll hit up the original RV dealer for the forty dollars. Does anyone use a sensor on the spare?
  5. Can anyone tell what breand of metal valve stems work well on our rims (2021 Elite II). I purchased a TST TPMS system and want to use metal stems. Had a local dealer install the metal stems. The TPMS sensors have been on three days. Today when checking the tires to see if the tpms read the same as my guage, one tire was a few pounds low. I removed the sensor, added air, then when I screwed the sensor back on there was a distinct air leak. Yjought it was the core, but it seems air is leaking where the stem meets the rim. must be a bad seal. So my thought is our rims may need a particular brand of stems? Monday moring i'll be on the phone with delaer.
  6. One more consideration. Replacing an external unit is a lot easier than the cost and time to replace the onboard unit.
  7. I agree. Have heard many sad stories about there service.
  8. That map pin in MA looks to be on Rt. 91. above Springfield That could make it either Camping World, or an independant dealer, Orchard Trailers.
  9. I'll add my two cents and say that I hae been using Meguiars pruducts with good results. I like the rolling warehouse platform idea, but dont have room to store one. The best item I use during cleaning is a Werner podium ladder ( https://www.wernerco.com/us/products/ladders/step-ladders/PD6200Series/PD6206 ). It gives me the ability get close enough and high enough to do the roof and is easy to store at home.
  10. I use Meguires One Step Marine compound. Works great on those black streaks.
  11. Found a similar item on Amazon for $13.99. Plenty of rings to keep the chains off the ground, and covers the plug holder. https://www.amazon.com/BougeRV-Electric-Universal-Protective-Accessories/dp/B09YRV3B9C/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2GYCKB662521X&keywords=BougeRV%2BRV%2BElectric%2BTongue%2BJack%2BCover%2Bwith%2BD%2BRings%2C%2B600D%2BUniversal%2BTrailer%2BJack%2BProtective%2BBlack%2BCover%2Bfor%2BOutside%2BRV%2BParts%2BRV%2BAccessories&qid=1692547766&s=automotive&sprefix=bougerv%2Brv%2Belectric%2Btongue%2Bjack%2Bcover%2Bwith%2Bd%2Brings%2C%2B600d%2Buniversal%2Btrailer%2Bjack%2Bprotective%2Bblack%2Bcover%2Bfor%2Boutside%2Brv%2Bparts%2Brv%2Baccessories%2Cautomotive%2C75&sr=1-1&th=1
  12. For those with the electronic door lock that was supplied in 2021( RVLock brand) that may have peeling numbers, here's the fix. The lock has a decal that was peeling on the numbers used for my entry code. I just installed a replacement one piece membrane that solved the problem, took 15 minutes to remove the lock and install the membrane. https://www.rvlock.com/products/upgraded-silicone-rvlock-v4-rh-keypad-membrane?_pos=1&_psq=V4+Durō+Keypad+Premium+Membrane+-+Right+Hand&_ss=e&_v=1.0&variant=42649755713730 V4 Durō Keypad Premium Membrane - Right Hand
  13. I also ordered the Southco locking compression latches, 7L279, from Great Lakes Skipper. Just installed them with no issues. Just had to get new screws etc., as all you get is the locks and keys when you order. Sale price is still on. I'd say the big advantage is the key. No longer afraid that I might snap it off in the lock.
  14. They look good. I like that the key is more solid looking.
  15. Why is it so hard to find low pressure grills and stove? This year We started using the Nomadiq grill. https://www.amazon.com/NOMADIQ-Portable-Lightweight-Tabletop-Tailgating/dp/B08588PLK8/ref=asc_df_B08588PLK8/?tag=&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416696576536&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=961126175319737280&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003291&hvtargid=pla-900043571940&ref=&adgrpid=92049668097&th=1 It's low pressure out of the box, no regulator built onto the grill itself. It comes supplied with hose and regulator to work off a small Coleman LP bottle. I opted to purchase their adapter hose to allow direct hookup to Ollie. https://www.amazon.com/nomadiQ-Adapter-Hose-Portable-Grill/dp/B09MDJ5M75/ref=pd_bxgy_sccl_2/138-2326693-0637356?pd_rd_w=z118w&content-id=amzn1.sym.26a5c67f-1a30-486b-bb90-b523ad38d5a0&pf_rd_p=26a5c67f-1a30-486b-bb90-b523ad38d5a0&pf_rd_r=ADVPY0FTH99QWGZCH486&pd_rd_wg=t3Oiv&pd_rd_r=82bf38df-5095-4974-9182-eb1158b627de&pd_rd_i=B09MDJ5M75&psc=1 It works great for us, Cooks really well, lightweight and small foot print when folded. When I want to use the cast iron skillet, I have a one burner low pressure stove https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PFL5D3R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that fits the bill.
