  1. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Truma! I think I will wait a bit now.
  2. Oliver service will make that look as good as new. Just had my door latch repaired Wednesday. When they riveted it in during construction they missed the metal plate inside the hull behind the latch. The pressure from the rubber grommet was enough to pull the rivet through the fiberglass. They went in by cutting a hole in the closet and adding the metal support brackets. I thought they would put an access port there to cover the hole. To my surprise they re-fiber glassed everything. You cant tell anything was done. As far as keeping the rain out. Butyl tape will leave you a mess but will work. If it were me, I would just put a piece of the air-conditioning foil tape over it until I could get it fixed. Think it will come off easier than the the butyl tape.
  3. Ok, heard back from Jason. They were supposed to put a 20 amp fuse there. So, F52 should be 20amp. Jason is looking into it to make sure this was just a one time thing or if during manufacturing they are putting to small a fuse in all of them. Jason was quick to respond! Thank you all for your help!
  4. I have started the ticket and will definitely keep the thread updated with what I am told. Thanks again!
  5. Thank you John and Topgun2! I know better than to put a larger fuse in and see what happens. I felt like there might be a setting or something that I was missing. And if I am looking at the owners manual right, the regular solar panels on top are on a 40 amp fuse. I just cant wrap my head around the 10 amps. I purchased the suitcase from Oliver to avoid any confusion with me buying the wrong suitcase or something not compatible with the Oliver TT and their wiring system. I mean, why would they sell me something that would burn the trailer down right? Anyway, I'm fixing to send an email to them to see if they even know this is an issue. They told me the 230W was their most popular seller!! Thanks again.
  6. 2022 Elite II - Lithium Pro Package - Newbie Alert! I purchased a 230W portable Zamp Solar suitcase when I picked up the trailer. When I plug it in and the sun is shining it is blowing fuse #F52. It's a 10 amp. I noticed the solar power cord has a 15 amp in line fuse. It's done it twice now. I searched the forums and either did not see, or I am not using the correct search phrases to find a similar problem. I did see where the ground wire had been left off of a couple of peoples trailers, mine is attached. Nothing is loose on the ground bus bar. No visible wiring issues that I can see. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  7. Brand new Oliver Owner here. Actually, brand new to camping! My wife and I picked up H#1014 February 1, 2022. The experience went well. After viewing the walkthrough videos over and over and over the actual walk through went very smooth and very fast. Camped 2 nights at the Oliver Camp Grounds. It was cold and rainy and I am happy to report we found no issues. Everything worked, everything opened, everything closed. We brought a small electric heater which kept it around 65 on it's own, even in 16 degree weather. I set the thermostat to 68 just to get the furnace to engage because I was worried about the pipes. I only heard the furnace click on about once an hour. We spent another week in Tennessee at a couple of state parks and campgrounds. Surprising to me, I prefer state parks! Wouldn't have thought that before this adventure. The reason for this post, however is one thing I forgot to do prior to pick up that I hope to share and save someone what I am feeling now. Don't be me, get mud flaps on your tow vehicle!! Traveling I-40 in Tennessee from Nashville to Pigeon Forge was a pot hole party, everyone was invited and only the smart stayed away. Anyway, amongst all the bug guts and dirt on the front of the trailer I found a rock chip in the fiberglass :-(. Although it's small, about the size of a pencil head, it hurts soooo bigggg! Ugh. So, my advice, don't forget the mud flaps! I hope this helps someone out. When I noticed it, I got on the Oliver Forums and sure enough, there were posts about mud flaps! Kraig
  8. Good Morning and Welcome!! I'm a newbie to the Oliver Travel Trailer thing, but not to towing. Spent most of my life hauling livestock. From your numbers your truck can pull it. You see a lot of posts like this where people worry about their tow vehicle. In my opinion, the real question should be can my tow vehicle stop it in an emergency situation. I believe in overkill. I want much more vehicle than I need, but that is just me. If you are concerned now, you will be concerned on travel days. This concern will add much stress to your vacations or get away. Especially on these fine roads out there that are constantly under construction, no shoulder, tire debris that just pops up in front of you and those drivers that really shouldn't be driving. You know, the ones that stop in lane 2 of a freeway so they can try to get over to exit. So, in my opinion, if this is on your mind now, it wont go away. In my limited miles towing the Oliver, it tracks true, you frequently forget it's back there. I have already scared myself looking in the rear view and seeing someone on my tail, only to realize.... its just the Oliver :-). I haven't weighed mine full yet or I would give you those numbers to help you out for a general ball park.
  9. My wife and I just picked up Hull #1014 February 7, 2022. We are still in the Tennessee area and have camped at several State Parks and now our second campground. I was having an issue with the TV. First of all it seems to operate on a big time delay between the remote (pushing a button) and the tv ( TV responding). It also has locked up on me several times. After reading the manual and searching the forums and finding no answer I went to the manual setup tab in the settings menu. From there, I took a picture of the current settings in case I messed something up. I found the problem with the failure to connect to the campground wifi. At the top of the Manual Setup tab is the DHCP. Mine was turned to off. I turned it on, went back to the settings tab and tried to connect again. It worked!! This was a 2 day struggle so I hope this helps anyone who might have the same problem.
