  1. I use a portable 3-stage water filtration system for ANY water going into my baby. I also do the annual bleach cleanse. We fill up at home regardless of the distinations hookup arrangements (just in case). Most of the time we drain it after each trip, unless we're blessed with another trip within a couple of weeks. I'm in Bakersfield, CA, so freezing is not a concern, but due to heat in the summer, all water is drained after every trip.
  2. My choice for all interior cleaning is simply a diluted white vinegar mix. Additiomally, if needed, a little dish soap and a brush on the bathroom floor. Around cooking area, just the usual soapy dish water. But, we thoroughly clean after every outing.
  3. My Ollie (#1019) was coming up on it's 1-year anniversary and I began the annual maintenance routine (diy). I prepared about 3 months for a bearing check and repack, buying parts, tools, watching YouTubes, etc. You see, I ONCE worked on bearings in my high school auto shop...some 45+ years ago! I figured "I got this." The day came (yesterday) and I laid out all my parts and tools and got to work. After the first 6 lug nuts and tire #1 came off, I came across this strange dust cover that said "Nev R Lube". I immediately got on the forum and searched such a thing I'd never heard of or seen. Lo and behold, Ollie apparently went to this system in 2022, the year that gave birth to #1019. In a way I was relieved...I get half a day back (maybe more). But then, I now have a lot of parts and a few tools I won't, or can't use. I'll be selling them soon in our Ollie classifieds. So, like buying all the wrong stuff for a newborn that gendered differently than expected, I'm still happy, yet saddened. I still love Ollie.
  4. Now that you mention it, I believe I had to have provided proof of financing by then, which of course was the balance anyway. I remember coming up with the balance of the down payment and the proof of financing was the other variable.
  5. I believe it was 15%, at least for my 2022 model.
  6. Frank, that did it! Thank you so much.
  7. Super Thanks! I will give this a try today.
  8. My tech experience is showing. Forgive my ignorance. Yes, it's the Truma.
  9. I really don't like the search function in this app! Anyway, I decalcified today and did it be the book (albeit my first year). I cannot get the LCD 3 at the control panel to stop flashing rapidly and hence cannot get the system working again. Repeat: I did it by the book. Anyone have a reason for this and a solution? Thanking you in advance.
  10. OMG!!! I've been looking down the butt of this thing, thinking it was a holder for the spare filter! I'm not a moron, because I know how stupid this was! Now I have grave reservations about doing any of my own maintenance - lol.
  11. Thanks everyone, especially Frank C. That sure looks like the tail end of the filter and now you have me seriously doubting myself. I'll give it another look. Unfortunately I just returned it to storage...so maybe next weekend. Thanks again.
  12. It hat is true, there is a space/ holder for it. Unfortunately, mine is empty. "Expectations are greater than reality", there must me a medical diagnosis for this...I have it too. (No reflection on Oliver, they've been great about everything.)
  13. I will. Thank you.
  14. Thank you. They didn't
  15. ,Greetings. I am doing my first annual service on the Truma Go and discovered the tablets won't go in the filter, because we have the heating element in it. I don't know if it comes apart (I don't want to damage it trying). Does it come apart? Do I need to buy a back-up without the heating element to perform this maintenance?
  16. Hi, me again. Maybe it's not solved. Worked once, stalled again. Opened it up and cleaned it again, but saw no debris. It worked again...once. It would intermittantly work if I reset the thermostat, but continues to fail. Any ideas on what to do with this problem?
  17. Hi John, No, I had a local detailer here in Bakersfield, CA do it for us. I googled "ceramic auto coating" and received about 5 detailers in our area that professed to do it. After checking all the reviews, especially companies with lots of reviews, I choose my company. FYI: I paid $500 per coat (which I think was a very good deal - and the detailer confirmed it was far more work than he had anticipated). With the PPF film I paid $1300 for the entire job.
  18. We had our 2022 coated (with two coats - supposed to give 5 yrs of protection). It isn't necessary, but WOW what a shine and no more factory swirls! Also, VERY easy to clean. You can do it anytime, but it shouldn't just be coated. There needs to be a good polishing in prep. I am VERY happy with the result. Also had PPF put ont the bottom 1/2 of the front to protect feom gravel, rocks, etc. Waxing is ok, but every 6 months is too much work and not as much protection - in my opinion.
  19. Merry Christmas!
  20. Indeed, a lot, but I knew it was coming. I had it built into the financing and Oliver cut me the check back. I'm in CA and mine was over $6k. They (DMV) almost dinged me for another $600 late fee on the registration, but I explained my purchase was in Tennessee and I didn't ENTER Calif. until a week later. That extra day saved me $600!
  21. You're right, no heat. Based on their furnace troubleshooting, I do believe it's the sail switch. I'm looking into the restof it. Thank you.
  22. SOLVED! This subject must have been covered, but the search bar is not easy! Went camping this past weekend and the heater worked for one day. After that, I could restart the thermostat, then heater would blow heat for less than a minute before shutting off. Had plenty of propane and it was plenty cold. I was near sea level too. Anyone know what's up and how to fix it? Very easy once you know what and where the sail switch is. Mine was stuffed with dog fur (by-product of my Akita).
  23. Where is the propane jet? I wasn't able to see anything (but I don't know what I'm looking for either)?
