  1. A lot of HH are wineries and distilleries. Also farms, museums, restaurants, etc. The wineries we’ve stayed at have gift shops with items to purchase. It’s been a fun way to overnight on the way to a destination. Mike
  2. I’ll try in the morning. Our site here isn’t very level and the front of the trailer is about as low as it can get! I can raise it to get a picture.
  3. I get confused when I’m upright. When I’m upside down... look out!!
  4. Ralph, the factory mounts the Andersen on the Y. I’ll take a picture of where the one you have was on my frame. As I recall, it was difficult to remove while on my back, and a breaker bar helped. John D mounted his on the center of the frame. Maybe he can weigh in. It’s good to know your trailer was well behaved even if the brackets slipped some.
  5. On our way to Kentucky we stayed at another Harvest Host location. This is Century Farm Winery in Jackson, TN. Had a nice tasting and sat by the vineyards sipping our purchase! Good location and friendly folks.
  6. When we pulled into My Old Kentucky Home State Park campground (small campground) there was another Oliver already here. Hull 781, Cliff and Stacey were on the maiden trip home from picking their new trailer. We had a good visit! Mike
  7. We like our Outland. Using it now. Mike
  8. Yes, I had the TRD Supercharger on my 2012 Tacoma. Gas mileage was still bad, needed to stop every 150 to 200 miles for fuel. Payload wasn’t what we needed either. The supercharger did make it a fun truck to drive without the trailer and it made pulling our Elite II a little easier, but it did not improve the two basic faults. Mike
  9. Welcome to the group! Your TV will have no problem with your Oliver! Mike
  10. Welcome, Mr J. You’ve got time to plan before January gets here. We’ll be interested in your dinette mods! Mike
  11. Welcome and congratulations! Mike
  12. Ralph, glad it worked out! We’ll be in Colorado in July, too. Drive careful - Mike
  13. We travel with a mix of boxes and bottles. We found this at Costco last month and bought quite a few. We aren’t sweet wine drinkers, but this is pretty good. Nice name too.
  14. I like your wine selection. We have a couple of boxes of Kirkland Pinot Grigio, too!
  15. Yes, it has a removable screen. Easy to remove and clean.
  16. It was a good effort though!! 🤣
  17. For you Harvest Host folks we are spending the night at Bee Happy Farm in Brashear, TX. It’s about 10 miles off of I-30 between Dallas and Texarkana. Grass fed cows, free range chickens, horses, etc. Very pleasant!
  18. This morning while we were headed north on highway 281 just south of Lampasas, TX we spotted on Oliver heading south. It had a red Oliver logo.
  19. Sherry and Patty, welcome to the group! Mike
  20. I have this exact set. I use them around the inside of the Clam and to anchor bungees to hold down the shade that attaches to my awning. For the rug, I use big nails 5-6” with a large washer. I also carry a set of heavy duty 12” Galvanized Stakes that anchor the straps that are attached to the middle of each of the Clam sections. I have a small sledgehammer with a short handle that I got at Home Depot to pound them in and a hikers claw hammer to pull them out. All of this (bungees and tie down straps included) fit in a small canvas tool bag. Mike
  21. Leaving this weekend for a month in KY, TN and AL. Then in July we’ll be in CO all month. Thinking of a UT, NV, CA trip in Sept/Oct. I’ll let you know if the fall trip to your neck of the woods happens! Mike
  22. Hey John, glad to see you pop in and update us. I also see you over on Fiberglass RV forums. Glad you’re still enjoying your HQ19, I bet Shane is selling a bunch of them. Hope to see you out on the road again. Mike
  23. Kevin and Theresa, welcome! We like pictures, so post away. Northern AZ is one of our favorite areas, our daughter graduated from NAU a couple of decades ago. Glad to have you here. Mike
  24. I like the Drivin’ and Vibin’ videos and Kyle makes some good points on why not to get solar. I disagree with his first point... we’ve found that camping in National Parks is usually a dry camping experience. Having electrical hookups is the exception rather than the rule, especially in the west. I agree that if you like campgrounds with hook ups then solar is not necessary. That’s what we thought we would do when we got our Oliver 5 years ago, I got the solar package “just in case”. As it turns out, we camp a lot in BLM and FS campgrounds, so I’m glad we opted for the solar. Mike
