  1. I've seen both recommended. But the general consensus seems to be to use two separate fill ports. This prevents any "sloshing" back and forth of air, keeping the vehicle stiffer, prevents both sides failing if one hose leaks, and allows for leveling of the vehicle with separate fill ports. (The latter more important to off road vehicles with roof top tents, but still an oft mentioned reason.) I haven't installed mine yet, but unless convinced otherwise, will use two separate fill ports.
  2. Thanks Bob, That's $50 per mattress more than I was quoted August 20, with shipping to Ohio then at $304. I'll be making my first half payment and final build with Oliver this week, and then likely order the KTT mattress. We want to stop in at Original Mattress Factory first, to see what they could build for us. Thanks for the price update
  3. The Lance 1475 is way too small for two people. We had the 1575 on order in 2017 before cancelling. The 1475 would be ideal for one person. I'd take one of the swivel chairs out and make the table a bit bigger. That was before Lance was bought by whichever conglomerate owns them now. I've read quality problems on the newer models.
  4. I don’t have a Griptillion, but I do have a Benchmade made Emerson CQC7 model 970. Superb quality and great blade material. Only thing I’d change is the single-sided bevel. A friend has a discontinued Benchmade I wish I’d snagged. Similar to the Griptillion, but with a hard rubber scale instead of the current wonder plastic.
  5. Yea, I knew they would only fit in my mind. But I have no interest in cobbling together a different alternative.
  6. Ug! Those are bright and not at all attractive!! The bronze heritage wheels (pictured) are what's already on my Land Cruiser originally, so I have a desire to have matching wheels on the trailer.
  7. If only there was a 5 X 150mm bolt pattern option! I've got a lead on a set of five Heritage wheels to match those on my Land Cruiser. That bronze would be gorgeous on the white trailer! (Toyota press photo)
  8. Welcome! That's a great looking combination you have. As you've already found, there's a wealth of information here, and wonderful people more than willing to share. Numbers are going up fast! I don't think we'll be 1313 come March 28th, since they're building the trailers os quickly. If we were 1313, I was going to name the trailer Mockingbird. 🤪
  9. Now all I need is the table top. And... a trailer. Only 5+ more months!!
  10. A lot of the overland style trailers are well over 15’ or even 24’. The Kimberley Kruiser T class is over 24’, and they’ve been to several Expos as exhibiters and camping with other Kimberley’s.
  11. I just ordered two items mentioned on various threads here that are on the Prime Early Access sale. The Progressive Industries SSP-30X is 15% off, and the Kamenstein Perfect Tear Paper Towel Holder is about half price. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015G2YYN0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024AKCTS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The Squatty Potty folding step isn't on the prime sale, but does have a 20% off coupon, so added it to the order. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HSR1DHM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Alos not on the Prime sale, but added to my order is an adjustable water pressure regulator that's been linked here at 13% off with an additional 5% coupon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N7JZTYX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There may be other items on the Prime sale of interest to Oliver owners, but these were the ones in my Oliver list. I hope this helps someone else save a few pennies.
  12. Sorry for the gigantic file above. Replaced with 4.x MG video, but still large.
  13. We’re well prepared for the aches and pains when our Oliver arrives in March. Deb dipped four bottles of Maker’s Mark from “her” ambassador barrel, on our way to Hohenwald when we placed our order. And I picked up a couple rye for variety. 😁 Untitled.m4v EDIT: Wow! I had no idea that was such a huge video file!! It wouldn't even load for me. I just replaced with a 4.x MB file, but I don't know how to make it smaller...
  14. That sounds like every highway in Ohio and Michigan. Glad you made it home safe.
  15. Here's a video review of the Separate Tiny by a couple that live in their truck. They don't seem to be fans.
  16. I bought a LevelMate Pro+ for when we get our Oliver. On a whim, I mounted it in our 5x8 squaredrop. After careful leveling and setting zero, I used it camping, it was easy as pie to use. In fact, I didn’t need to level the trailer at all. Until I opened the door and it swung wide open. Using the level, it was off 1-1/4” left to right. I guess the tint size of the trailer is too hard for the LevelMate to figure out. 🤷‍♂️
  17. Yep, it was 40 this morning, and good sleeping. Two of us with just sheets, a fake feather comforter, and a quilt across my cold feet. We have a 200W heater to take the chill off, and vents open with Fantastic Fan on low to get the moisture out. The only time I was cold were the two trips during the night “looking at stars”. 😉 Deb has a shower/potty tent, which has a 500W ceramic heater running in it all night, so she was warmer in there than in the trailer. 😀 Still, the best part was outside making tea/coffee and breakfast; something we’ll continue to do with the Oliver. We have a nice camp kitchen setup, and plan to use it most of the time.
  18. Our first Oliver siting in the wild! I-71 Nortbound just north of Columbus, Ohio. Thursday, Sept 29 2:45 PM Orange graphics on the front. 👋👋 And then an hour later, we saw another one, also heading north on I-71, but a bit south of Columbus. We’re either of these someone on here? Y’all having a secret rally I’m missing out on? Meanwhile, we’re in our squaredrop at Caesar Creek State Park, where it is supposed to get to 40 degrees tonight. Brrr!
  19. 🤣 That’s the same size 3 cylinder 1 liter engine that was in my 2008 Smart Fortwo Cabriolet. Who knew I could tow so much with it! 😄
  20. That doughnut looks scrumptious! The last two campouts, we experimented with refrigerator cinnamon rolls on the Skottle. First time we "baked" them, putting water in the bottom, a cooling rack, and then the rolls in a pie pan, covered for about 40 minutes. Came out okay, but not very browned. All eight were like that one gooey center roll that everyone likes. Last week we smashed the cinnamon rolls like a Smashburger, and then fried them. These came out more dense and crispy. Both were very tasty, but also very different.
  21. It's surprising that the Land Cruiser's capacity is so close to the Tundra's. My tire and loading sticker lists combined weight of cargo and passengers as 1320 pounds. That's closer to 1460, though, as I've removed the 40# roof basket and the 100# (by other owner's weight posting) 60% second row seating. The Heritage Edition already has the third row seats and running boards removed compared to the Base model. I'm not sure how the loading is calculated, though. Curb weight on the Heritage is listed at 5715 and GVWR at 7385, for a potential 1670 pound load capacity instead of the 1320 on the sticker. Since there are no options available, every truck should weigh right at curb weight. Color me confused... Deb and I consume about 350#, and Elite II tongue weight is listed at 490# before options. Figure tongue weight closer to 690# (12.5% of 5500 pound trailer), that leaves me about 420# of margin, less any other stuff I carry. So I'll need to take extra care to keep the trailer closer to 5000#.
  22. What a clever idea to add the QR code. I've seen these in magazines and on mailings, but never thought to create tone for personal links, els I'd have added one to the back of our handout card.
  23. After having reading comprehension issues with what was being generously offered, I’m passing on these extrusions. I mistakenly thought the brackets were also included (my error, not dewdev’s wording.) Since I’ll need to order the brackets too, I’ll just get everything at once. Thank you for offering these!
  24. If Hobo can't use these and no one else needs them sooner, I'd sure like to take advantage of your generous offer. I plan to make Overland's Lagun table setup over the winter so it is ready when our trailer is done in March. Let me know and we can make arrangements. Thank you!
  25. We did similar at a TearJerkers event last month, except Deb concocted her own teriyaki-ish sauce. Mmmmm!
