  1. Great info and now I understand. Thanks. Hope to see you going down the road and return the favor. Gary
  2. Geoff, I need a little more help with your great detail. I ordered the 2 fans and Thermo switch. How are they wired together, and where does the + & - wire from the fans run to? Where is the fuse wired into the fans? One fuse for both? What size fuse? If I understand your drawing, the Neg from the TV goes to the Orian - in or to the Frame bolt? If the TV - goes to the Frame bolt, does and another neg wire goes to Orian Neg in??? Your pic, looks like a wire with a red strip goes into Neg in. I don’t see the POS wire going into the Orian. What am I missing? Does another Neg wire coming out of the Orian go back to the Neg frame bolt? Does the POS out of Orian, after the 60 amp fuse then go the the bus bar, to the left top of the back dinette that is on the battery box? Sorry for all the questions, but I want to get this right. My head is spinning from what the almost 100 feet of copper and the copper lugs cost. Right at $7 a foot for 2/0 AWG and $5.98 for 2/0 copper lugs. OUCH? Thanks in advance for the help. Gary Hull 292
  3. Carl, this Rocks. thanks for posting. I just ran my 2/0 cable like you did, and my helper/wife was on a conference call all morning long. Took me 2 1/2 hours by myself just to run the cable, 6 inches at a time, out the door to push 6 inch’s, back in the bath/front dinette/back dinette to pull 6 inches. So glad I saw someone post use soapy water and rag to make it easier to push the cable. Made a BIG difference. Not to get the Orian 50 amp wired/mounted/tested.
  4. Carl, I feel the same way. What a GREAT Community of support.
  5. As I understand it, and I’m no expert, the 7 pin can NOT charge the Lithiums. I too am a BIG Will Prowse fan. Leaving the 7 pin wire connected can damage the wire/alternator when it try’s to charge the Lithiums. Hull 292 and I’m installing the Orian 50 amp DC to DC charger on my Nissan Armada (150 amp Alternator) to charge my 840 AH Watt Cycle Lithiums. I do not have Solar on the roof of Hull 292. Do have 480 portable Solar for the Zamp plug. We plan to head out west, use Harvest Host and some ‘boondocking and will be doing, or at least trying to do, a max of 5 hours of driving each day on they way. The DC charger will do a good job of getting the Lithiums up to power for AC when we stop. Hope this gives you info to explore the options and decide what is best for you and your Ollie.
  6. JD, with the Nissan Armada Platinum there is a LOT of wires connected to the Positive on the Battery. Can I just add the + and - legs from Battery to Alternator and - to the frame? Or do I need to replace current smaller wires.
  7. JD, as always I can count on you for great advice. Thanks again. As our shower was a dribble, and Anita could not wash her hair, I took the wash cloth/shampoo holder in the front of the sink and put a marine door. I’m able to see where the cables are coming in. FYI, just to the right from the outside is where I considered putting the new hole. When I looked from the inside, the sink plumbing drain is in the way. Hope it is clear in the pic below. Will carefully drill the holes and use a Cable Clam Craig used in his install. Gary Hull 292
  8. Good to know. Would you share how much for parts and for labor? Thanks Gary Hull 292
  9. Hull 292 here. It’s a 2017 build bought new by Duke and Chris Chadwell in 2018. My leaf springs still look OK. Thinking I might go ahead and buy the Alcon Springs to have, just in case. How much do they cost. Hope when the time comes, I can install as quickly and as Straightforward as you. Thanks Gary
  10. Need your help on my DC to DC Orian 50 amp charger on Hull 292. There are 3 cables coming out and does not seem to have any more room for my Clam for the 2/0 cable. Should I go to the side of the rectangle? Or should I try to use on of the cable holes and add it to my clam? See pic attached. I’m open to any suggestions. Thanks Gary
