Patriot Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Occasionally if we hit a really hard interstate bridge expansion joint or a rough area in the road our Oliver TV will dislodge from its mounting system and drop down to the viewing position. Here is a quick no drill hack I came up to secure the TV to the ceiling mount. I keep several of these Velcro straps handy in my go to “possible kit bag”. 😎 Pro tip - These also work great for keeping hoses and extension cords tightly wrapped when stowing your gear. For those that rarely use your TV you can also consider using a heavy duty zip tie to keep it secured. Cheers and Safe Travels! jdmmtx Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Our TV comes unlatched about half the time...and that's highway driving - not on dirt roads or across open fields! We've had 2 break in transit and one of those was WITH using a velcro strap. It, too, came loose! We've since switched to using a dog collar (size XS, 8-12"). 1 1 3 Joe and Mindy ▪️ 2019 Legacy Elite II ▪️ Hull 457

Wow…so far so good here with the Velcro strap. Have you considered a heavy duty zip tie? 1 2020 OLEII - Hull #634 aka- “XPLOR” TV 2021 F350 6.7 liter Diesel Lariat Ultimate Tremor Retro upgrades - Truma Aventa 13.5 AC, Alcan 5 leaf pack, Alcan HD shackles & HD wet bolts, 5200lb never lube axles. Geronimo John Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I have had some rough rides, especially on our Houston to Fairbanks trip. But never have had my TV deploy. Could you be running higher pressure in your tires or stiffer springs? Rolind Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago When we did our initial walkthrough of our new Oliver, the Oliver service rep strongly suggested we keep short segments of pool noodle between the back of the retracted tv and the lower surface of the attic to prevent the fiberglass from fatiguing around the tv mounting bracket. Even ratting around Moab, we have never had the TV deploy while traveling. 2 Robert and Cheryl, Louisville, KY, Legacy Elite II Hull #1390 Oliphino, TV F250 Tremor
