Moderators Mike and Carol Posted October 20, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 20, 2019 I just read an article about a new TT from New Zealand called Romotow. They are thinking outside of the box! John E Davies
Interesting but it’s just a very silly and needlessly complicated design exercise. If you have a huge level open area to deploy it, fine. If you camp where there are pesky things like trees, bushes, and rocks, and uneven terrain, you couldn’t use that party area. The website has zero content other than the video and computer drawings. Their facebook page has some videos of the first prototype finally being built, after 12 years..... it looks neat but the wood interior is crude. https://m.facebook.com/Romotow/ https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/the-romotow-offers-adventure-with-room-to-move-183870841.html I give it one star, and I am being generous. If they build them like an Ollie and it doesn’t cost $200k, then the rating will go up, a little. Raspy
One nice feature in the Romotow, is the narrow hallway on one side, with a large bath separating the front and rear. This makes sense to me instead of the typical center hall and all of the areas along the exterior walls. John "I only exaggerate enough to compensate for being taken with a grain of salt." Moderators SeaDawg Posted October 20, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 20, 2019 One nice feature in the Romotow, is the narrow hallway on one side, with a large bath separating the front and rear. This makes sense to me instead of the typical center hall and all of the areas along the exterior walls. That's nice, more like a small mobile home. But all the weight on one side might cause some side to side imbalance towing... I do like the central bath idea, like you said. 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar.
