Ronb Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Anybody using the Froli Sleep System under the standard bed cushions on the twin bed Elite II? If so how do you like it? We pick ours up in March, struggling with paying 1600.00 for two twin mattress.
hobo Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 We use the materials used/purchased at Oliver Trailers. Not sure of the brand name but we've had no problems with condensation under or around the mattresses. 2018 Elite II, Hull #414 (the very last 2018 produced). Moderators topgun2 Posted November 3, 2019 Moderators Posted November 3, 2019 I use plain old foam board - 1/2 inch thick - and have never had a problem. Given the cost comparison it certainly is worth a try. If the foam board does not work for you then you can always go with the high priced spread. 1/2 inch foam board 1 2023 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5EB FX4 Max Towing, Max Payload, 2016 Oliver Elite II - Hull #117 "Twist" Near Asheville, NC
Moderators SeaDawg Posted November 3, 2019 Moderators Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) The Froli system has great reviews in the boating community for both increasing comfort, and eliminating condensation. We've never used it, either, but many liveaboard sailors swear by it. Here's a review from 14 years ago from Practical Sailor. https://www.practical-sailor.com/issues/31_8/chandlery/5104-1.html If you check out the sailing and cruising forums, you'll find that a lot of people found they could keep 3 or 4 inch cushions, instead of changing up to a custom mattress. Some truck camper and travel trailer manufacturers offer it in their units. Let us know what you think if you decide to become the "pioneer" here.
