Solar wiring down from roof

Searched around some, can't find this so if there's a previous post on this please let me know. Want to add solar panels on roof, how do you get wiring from the roof to the overhead cabinets, I can handle it from there with Overland's clever down-through-the-pantry method.  If you drill down into the roof how do you know where you won't hit any wires?  Does Oliver factory wiring run with either the Vent fan's wire or the AC's wiring?  Even so, you'd have to have the new wire run from forward on the roof back to the middle somewhere.

I'll try to figure out how you and others get that footer on your posts.

Its easy:

1 - click on your avatar - the big "D"

2 - left click mon "account settings"

3 - left click on "signature" (its on the left side of the page)

4 - fill out what you want it to say - see mine for what most Owners put there

5 - be sure to left click on the blue "Save" button at the bottom and you're done.

This topic has been discussed, and several owners have made this modification successfully.   I did a quick search and came across this link.   I suggest you consult with Service to ask if and where the wires are placed on your specific model.   Oliver has made changes in their process over time.

We'd sure like to see more OTT owners that live in the Rockies/SW US on the forums, we know they're out there - lurking, somewhere...  HA!

We'll have an OTT sometime in early March. We Travel between Wilson WY and Fort Collins CO. Will probably store the Ollie in FC in the winter. Pretty harsh up in Wilson.

Very cool.  Congrats on your OTT acquisition, Doug!  Let us know if you're coming down our way, south of Santa Fe/north of ABQ.  We've got a flat site w/30amp and well water, if needed - FYI...

Thank you Hokieman, that's what I was looking for.  I did not know about the metal plates, that's great, and you are probably right that i should just ask Service.
