HDRider
Can someone tell me where the 12v tank heaters are discussed in the manuals? I can't find it. Steph and Dud B
I wasn't aware the 2023 models have them. Do they? Our 2022 doesn't. Stephanie and Dudley from CT. 2022 LE2, Hull #1150: Eggcelsior. As far as I know - there was only one Oliver ever produced that came from the factory with dedicated tank heaters. This was way back in the custom order days (even prior to my hull #117) and was for an Ollie that was to be used during the winter in northern PA and similar locations. Other than that, the tanks are located between the hulls of the Oliver and are "heated" by the radiant heat mainly coming off the hoses that come from the furnace to the various outlets located in the interior of the Oliver - i.e. these flexible hoses are not insulated and therefore give off heat in the area between the hulls. Hope this helps! My LEII hull#1386 doesn’t have tank heaters! Pretty sure only some older Ollies have tank heaters, back in the day when Oliver still entertained modification request from owners. 2 2023 Elite II, Hull# 1386, Lithium Platinum Package (640AH, 400W Roof Solar, 3000W Xantrex Inverter), added 400W Renogy Solar suitcase with Victron MPPT 100/30 CC, Truma water heater & AC TV: 2024 Silverado 2500HD 6.6L 10-Speed Allison
HDRider
I guess that explains why I can't find them in the manuals. I thought the Ollie had tank heaters Jeff & Cindy - NE Arkansas - 2023 Legacy Elite II - Twin Bed - Hull #1423 TV - 2015 Silverado 2500 Duramax 4x4

Thanks Being that Olivers are ‘four season’ RVs, guess the thought was that tank heaters weren’t really necessary! However, some owners ‘beg to differ’ and addressed their concerns to enhance heat in the hatch areas by various means; more-so to protect waterlines, but the tanks would benefit, as well. The most innovative approach I’ve seen was modification of the existing ducting, whereby holes and/or duct diversions are strategically placed to direct furnace heat, as necessary, to more vulnerable areas.
