Free Time Activities at the Oliver Rally
We have tried to schedule as much free time into the rally as possible so attendees can either relax and enjoy the experience or allow attendees to plan activities and invite others to participate. Below you will find a list of attendee planned activities scheduled during free time.

Below you find just a few ideas of the local attractions and activities inside and outside Lake Guntersville State Park. If you would like to plan a group activity to one of the attractions, we recommend calling in advance to make reservations and ask for a maximum group size and cost per person.
Horseback Tours at Lake Guntersville State Park
Experience the state park trails on horseback. Horseback Tours are provided by Alabama Horseback Adventures.
Hiking and Biking Trails at Lake Guntersville State Park

Eagle's Nest Golf Course at Lake Guntersville State Park
The Eagle's Nest Golf Course at Lake Guntersville State Park is an 18-hole championship course is located just down the road from the park's lodge. The golf course features rolling hills and elevation changes throughout, making each hole a unique challenge and a must-play on any golfer’s list. An Oliver Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, May, 17, 2024 at 1 PM. If you wish to play, the entry fee is $40 that can be paid at registration.
Screaming Eagle Zip-Line at Lake Guntersville State Park
Plan a fun and scenic zip-line activity right inside Lake Guntersville State Park. Reservations are strongly recommended as there are a limited number of slots per day.
Geocaching Challenge at Lake Guntersville State Park
The State of Alabama has 22 State Parks and each of these parks has a cache that is part of the Geocaching Challenge. Each of these caches are regular size caches with trade items and are designed to be kid friendly as well as adult friendly. There are trade items for those who enjoy treasure hunting and digging through the loot.

Cathedral Caverns State Park & Cave Tour
Cathedral Caverns State Park is located approximately 29 miles from Lake Guntersville State Park. The park itself encompasses 493 acres, and there are marked hiking trails available for those wanting to enjoy the outdoors. The cave maintains a comfortable 60 degrees temperature year-round; which makes it an excellent day trip for attendees.

Buck's Pocket State Park
Buck's Pocket State Park is locate approximately 19 miles from Lake Guntersville State Park. The park features a ORV trail, hiking trails, pavilions, and a scenic overlook located in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains
