  1. We're working on performance/functionality and will have something to show shortly. There is still some work left to do before we're comfortable with the release. This will include a new forums. Better user experience and moderation tools for moderators.

  2. If you are going to stay at a truck stop, stay out of the big truck area, unless there is a lot of open spaces. A truck driver is operating under drive time regulations and total on duty time regs. Especially on the east coast, truck parking spots can be in short supply. We like to stay at Flying J's when needing a quick overnight, and they usually have RV parking spaces in a area separate from the truck area. Usually works pretty good till some clown's car catches on fire at midnight, and all of a sudden there are fire trucks and police cars all around. All part of the journey. Stan

  3. It was nice to see one of our boondocking pictures, used in an add on the Oliver face book page yesterday. Our friend Mark joined us Monday in his Bigfoot and is going to be here with us for a few days. Then we will all meet up again in Bandon, OR for the rally :)

  4. This is a _wonderful_ summary of the differences, and I think every potential buyer should read and thoroughly absorb this information. http://www.twopluslu.com/oliver-versus-airstream-review/ Oliver factory tour: http://www.twopluslu.com/oliver-travel-trailers-review/ Bravo to the author! Well done! John Davies Spokane WA

  5. I am more than a little peeved that this design is a decade old and there has apparently been no attempt to correct that serious flaw until now. Do all older hulls stay hooked up constantly to city water ... ? When I looked at an XP Camper, I was very impressed by the water tank. It is tall, narrow front to back, and full width across the front wall. All 75 gallons (!) are usable without any fuss. I made a placard: LOL. John Davies Spokane WA

  6. Add me to the list of interested parties for an angled or vertical pickup tube. I tested my system today and the pump cavitated at 20 gallons used. Elevating the coupler 4 inches got me 6 more gallons, but that angle is not comfortable or particularly practical.... I notified Oliver and will see what they come up with. At this point, converting my unused 18 gal black tank to fresh looks even more tempting. John Davies Spokane WA

  7. I've ordered the parts and should be ready to do mine next week. I'll document it and you guys can see if you like the method. A couple of special tools are required, but the installation won't be too hard. The existing tank drain is retained. Stay tuned.

  9. Sweet Crude Travel Center - sounds inviting! At least you got a good meal and good nights sleep. We like to stay a Cracker Barrel's. Also good food, but quiet. I'm sure there aren't many up there! Mike

  10. We definitely prefer boat ramp truck and trailer parking areas on lakes to truck stops but we boondock most of the time anyway.

  11. I hate truck stops, their diesel pumps are usually nasty and flow way too fast. I think a truck stop would be at the bottom of my list to overnight, but sometimes I guess you can't be choosy. I am always amused to see pictures of Olivers parked between semis. This is one reason (of several) that we came up with the name "Mouse" for ours. John Davies Spokane WA
