  1. I took a trip to Oliver on Tuesday with a prospective buyer. While we were looking at the 2027 model the salesman started the Dometic Freshjet, It was almost as quiet as the Truma AC in my Elite ll. We could easily converse with it running.

  2. TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM answered my question -- I will leave it here, for others who might be asking the same. When you plan to decalcify the Truma AquaGo Water Heater AND Sanitize the plumbing system, there is a specific order that this should be done. It's logical, but I wasn't sure about any potential chemical reactions between the one (Truma Decalcification Tablets) and the other (a diluted water & bleach solution). FIRST -- complete the Decalcification process. Then flush the system with clean water. SECOND -- Sanitize the system. REMEMBER to put the system into BYPASS CONFIGURATION for the Water Heater during the Sanitization process. After Sanitization, flush the system TWICE with clean water. THIRD -- Fill the tank with fresh water Shout-out to Chris with Oliver's Technical Department for helping me out with this question this morning.

  4. If you are attending (or still thinking about attending) this year's Rally and have NOT reserved a campsite, be sure to do this ASAP. When I reserved my site a couple of months ago, there were not very many sites left to choose from. Bill

  5. Spice drawer! Surely somebody figured this out but here's my solution, 3 oz jars. Stainless lids and nice thick glass. Holds 1/2-3/4 of a typical store bought which is plenty. There are the only ones I could find that fit height wise https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KX8S1Z7 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0797LHWYK

  6. Probably the single most useful thing I got, maybe these are already know to the community Antimbee Transparent Heavy Duty Clear Suction Cups https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B67TRPMX Incredibly handy to be able to slap these on any nearby wall. Most you find are heavy duty but the fit with the decor perfectly For example as a towel dry

  7. In order to insulate AND black out light that enters through the Maxxfan, I ordered this: VanEssential Magnetic Insulated Roof Vent Sun Cover for MaxxAir Fan, Fantastic Fan - Olive Gray It's not the cheapest one out there, but I like it because it completely blacks out the Fan, it's insulated and the installation is superior to other products I saw out there (hidden magnets vs velcro). This one takes a bit more work to install as you have to remove the inside trim on the fan (which is caulked), install / tape magnets to the inside of the trim, and replace the trim (and re-caulk). So all in all it took me about 2 hours. The magnets work great and reviews say that they work much better than velcro, which has a tendency to tear free from the trim and leave a glue mess behind, especially with heated trim. Here's a picture of the final product:

  8. Sherry, They are the same roller shades used in modern Airstreams, with a different Head rail attachment point. The shade is a thin vinyl that appears would be easy to clean. Just installed it so time will tell. The install took about 15-20 minutes. Drilled three holes in the screen door and screwing in three screws. All screws and the bottom attachment point are provided. Andrew

  9. Solution found! A custom Oceanair Skyshade Cabinshade mounted to the screen door. It allows for full view and can be open/closed from inside. Andrew

  10. While there are a bunch of ideas to be found if you simply type "RV window shades" in the search box of Amazon, a fair number of Ollie owners have used this: https://www.amazon.com/CloZures-Controls-Privacy-Outside-fingertip/dp/B07FDKJFHD/ref=sr_1_29?dchild=1&keywords=rv+window+shades&qid=1585669649&sr=8-29 I've been told that these are available in white if you would prefer that and I know that there is at least one post here on the Forum concerning this product - try the "search" function. Bill p.s. I really do like the tinted window. The look of the bathroom window being non-tinted bothered me so much that I bought some "stick-on" automotive window tinting film for it and now it looks just like the rest of the windows on the street side of my Ollie.
