The yellow 4/0 ground wire is attached.

Are you referring to the yellow wire connected to the right end of the ground Buss bar?  That cable does not look large enough to be a 4/0 cable which has an O.D. of 13/16".  One of Katjo’s pictures showed a 4/0 x 5/16" lug connected to the frame ground, which prompted my question.

  2. Since I only have my Oliver to compare to, I have a couple of questions to ask to the forum group.  The repair pictures show what has been identified as liquid tape.  Does anyone else have liquid tape on their frame ground stud or connections?  My second question concerns the 4/0 x 5/16” lug attached to the ground stud.  Does anyone also have a 4/0 ground cable connected to the frame ground?  Are these now common methods on units coming from the factory?

  3. Krunch and I stayed at Lake Powhatan for a night in April of 2021 on our way to Virginia.  It is a very nice campground that we plan to revisit in the future.  I picked it because it was close enough to have dinner with topgun2 and his wife, which he bought.  It was a win win campground for us.  If for no other reason than it’s our turn to buy, we’re going back!

  4. First off, let me say that I do not have any practical experience troubleshooting the Truma AquaGo.  I do have one but I have never had any issues with.  If you looked up the error code, I assume you have the manual.  I wonder what item 4a does?  It is located right next to the EPS, so it may be a method to test the EPS.

  5. Thank you for the very honest and descriptive review.  And it takes a very big person to admit a $900 mistake, kudos to you!  I have a feeling about how frugal you and Paul are from previous posts on this forum and I know y’all put a lot of thought into your decision which must make it a bitter pill to swallow.  I have a feeling that you will make it work in time even if you don’t share with visitors again.

I still haven’t heard anyone talk about their mobile installation disposal methods which should be a different issue from a barn installation.

I wonder how many other missing or loose screws and bolts are out there.

They aren’t really out there, they’re just rolling around in the belly of the beast.  For example, I lost a 5’ section of PEX pipe that I had stored near the water pump for emergencies.  I know it’s down there someplace and maybe it will show up in the future.

  7. Alberta and Randy,

I would like to thank you for your excellent post.  You described your issue and explained the things that you had tried while troubleshooting.  You also provided information about your Oliver in your signature such as model and the year it was built.  It is difficult to provide accurate answers to those requesting help with limited information.  This is especially true in a non verbal conversation such as an email or a post online.

You have provided an excellent example for others to follow when requesting help on this forum.

Is there a circuit breaker for the pump somewhere?

My 2017 LE2 water pump has a circuit breaker in the attic.  I do not know if that applies to your Ollie or not.

  9. My initial reaction to that sign when I saw it on the news last night was WOW!  But when I saw geO’s picture this morning I thought, WOW I’m going to go fill up with premium gas.  I don’t remember ever seeing premium just 4 cents higher than regular.  Maybe it’s a California thing.🙁

The couple parked next to us for the first couple of days at the rally we’re in a 40’ class A diesel pusher that got 5 MPG.  It had a 100 gallon tank and their fill ups were in the $400 plus range and at today’s California prices, they are looking at nearly double that.  So they would spend over $100,000 following Geronimo John on his summer trip.  Now that’s a WOW!
    Edit:

I recalculated my estimate for the diesel pusher following Geronimo John on his 12,000 trip and the $100,000 estimate I made previously is inaccurate.  The cost should have been $22,056.  Which makes the previously stated WOW, just a wow.

    Please except my apologies!

I always hook a surge protector to the pedestal then plug the power cord into it. I do the same at home. 110 adapter, surge protector then power cord. So the set up was the same.

Another question, so I can follow this issue to the best of my ability.  You may have added a new component to the scenario, the 110 adapter that you didn’t mention in the original post and I assume it’s a 30 Amp RV to 110V 15 Amp adapter.  Is this correct?

    We have the Platinum Package....

    Thank you!

The Platinum Package is much more descriptive and useful for troubleshooting than "battery package our $$$ could buy".  I know you all are newbie’s, but when speaking about your Ollie, please remember that there is no such thing as TMI.  To much information equals more accurate support from the forum members.

Thank you for the answers to my questions!  As I said, I do not have Lithionics batteries or the Xantrex Inverter/Charger so my question’s are simply for my education and the hope that I do not provide incorrect information in the future.  And the picture I posted above is a screenshot from the Lithionics website of one of their guides and not from my equipment.
