Congratulations!!

Awning style windows would be great. I wonder if they will be on the 2021 models.

Wondering if there are sufficient outlets in the Elite II, especially in the galley. I can't seem to determine by looking at interior photos, where 110 outlets are located. Could someone with a newer model tell me where they are installed. Also, is Oliver willing to add additional outlets and/or reposition them? Please share your recommendations on where outlets should be located.

Hmmmm . . . . . . that's interesting. Do you recall if it was a 1UP rack? I do know the way the 1UP attaches you have to periodically check to make sure it hasn't loosened. Ours did this once after driving a lot of miles on a rough forest service road. But that is probably a good idea with any rack.
-
I'll check our adapter and see how it is made. I think it has one too. The way the 1UP hitches attach is designed so you must use a special tool (proprietary sized Allen wrench) to make it hard for someone to steal the rack.
-
Thanks . . . . I will check this out. So many variables . . . . . .

Using our 1UP on our van, we have to use a hitch extender because the van receiver is recessed into the bumper, It appears the 1 1/4" to 2" expander is 1" shorter than the extender, which we had to install at it's maximum length. We've had no problem with rack movement, despite the long distance from the rear axel. I know they approved the use of the extender, but I will check if this applies to the expander. Thanks for your input

Yes . . . . I stand corrected 😏

I'm excited about being able to use our 1UP rather than having to haul bikes in the pickup. And the fact that it's an expensive rack to not be used :)

We have the Magma as well. . . . . good to know they fit in this cabinet. The totes are great, too. I see you store an induction burner behind the Magma. What brand of induction do you have and do you like it? Except for the burner being behind everything, you could use a wire freestanding shelf over the Magma/totes; would this work if you store the burner along the side? Happy to hear the cabinet has a light. Did they move the outlet down from the upper cabinet so it could be from the countertop?

Please share with me in PM

1Up sells an adapter. https://www.1up-usa.com/product/1-25-2-hitch-expander/ Will add a few pounds to the load, maybe 5.

He/she will be ordering an Ollie soon!

We have identified all the options we might possibly want and are in the process of deciding which we actually need. The Hypervent moisture prevention mat sounds like a good value. Questions: does the mat make it more difficult to access the under bed storage (twin beds)? How heavy is it? Do the edges of the mat damage bedding or the inside wall of the berth? We plan to use back cushions along the wall; will this matter? We live near the Oregon coast, but have had zero issues with moisture or mold in our van. We flip the mattresses on edge when the van is garaged and place Dri-Z-Aire dehumidifiers throughout the cabin. Would you order Hypervent again? If you don't have it, do you wish you did? An easy add on later, but Oliver has it fairly priced.

We are deciding which options we "need" on our Elite II. We want to keep it as simple as possible, but a keyless entry (but also with a key) entry would be handy. My husband and I sometimes go off in different directions from the campground. Unless each of us remembers to take a key, one of us is left "homeless". We do have a keypad entry on our pickup, so a simple solution would be to keep a key in the glove box. Before saying, "yah or nay" I want to investigate, further. I downloaded the manual from the Oliver site. It doesn't state, but I assume the key will override the electronic lock. Any problems with this? In the Keep it Simple category, the manuals suggest you remove the keypad batteries when not using the RV for longer periods of time. Probably a good idea, especially where it is outside and considering we live in a damp climate. Keyless entry would be handy - our pickup and SUV have it; our present RV doesn't, but it is another thing to maintain and possibly malfunction. Please share your experience with this option.

This, alone, is a great selling point 🚫 🐁 🐀

By vulnerable I guess I am referring to things we stock for use in the RV . . . . . . bedding, towels, kitchen linens, cookware, paper towels, TP - things mice find useful for nesting; and I don't know why they chew up plastic, but they do. We don't leave clothes, food, etc unless we plan to hit the road in a day or two. Did leave our inflatable kayaks in the basement for a few weeks and a mouse chewed a hole in one of the storage bags. Kayaks and associated gear now get brought in. Not an issue with the Oliver, since these will be stowed in the pickup. Sounds like the Oliver is pretty secure.
-
Regarding pests: Is it not necessary to remove all vulnerable onboard "stuff" when you park your Oliver for more than a few days? We have not had one unwelcome critter in our van, but I always remove, or put in overhead compartments, anything that can be eaten or used as nesting material. We live in the country and rats and mice are an annoying way of life, especially problematic in our vehicles. One reason being, we don't have a cat, but even when we did. Edit: (my computer crashed . . . fixed now) We keep Cab Fresh repellent anywhere water lines come into the cabin and in the outside bays and storage compartments. Just wanting to know if there are any precautions other take when it comes to preventing these annoying hijackers.

I've seen pics of the cutting board and shower floor. Beautiful work. However . . . . . . we have a sawmill, trees, and woodworking equipment in our family . . . . my husband and two adult sons are pretty handy with wood . . . . and my brother-in-law very talented. But first we have to get an Oliver 😄

Exactly what I wanted to know. I love the look of the Baron flooring. (Please, Oliver, do not discontinue this color!) I'm thinking of black ultra-leather for the dinette and flannel back cushions for the sleeping area. Then I could use the Flannel back cushions to configure the dinette as a sofa. The 4 ultra leather cushions would be the seat of the sofa and Flannel cushions the back. What do you think of that idea?

Oregon State parks are beginning to open. As usual, reservations are recommended. These parks are historically full all summer. Not sure how it will be this year.

Still haven't decided on Dometic manual or powered. Need to do some research. As far as pool noodles go, they come in handy in a lot of ways. Would definitely turn off auto retract if using one on the awning. 😀

Would it work for shoes?

A couple of questions for those with the most recent "microwave deletion cabinet": 1. What are the dimensions of the opening and the inside of the cabinet. Dimensions mentioned earlier are for the older cabinet. 2. Does the cable port to access the outlet in the upper cabinet come installed? Why doesn't Oliver just move the outlet to the lower cabinet so it can be used? I really want to use this space for our Breville Mini Smart oven (15.75"w x 8.5"h x 12.25"d - including the safety bumpers). I don't want to cut off the safety bumpers, as mentioned by Overland in a prior comment. We use our oven at home, so want the bumpers to protect the wall. They also provide a way to store the power cord. For this to work, the cabinet would need to be approx 12.5" deep. Looking at the measurements on the floor plan and the gallery photo below, the opening should be sufficient. The depth looks pretty darn close, but I don't know is there is an inner lining that makes the cavity much smaller than the outside. I wish the opening could be flush with the counter top (no lip) with the counter extending into the cabinet.
