  1. I know whatever you do, it will be an adventure. Thanks for checking out with the group. Now we won't wonder where you are. Cheers 👏
  2. Oregon is 0% . . . . . but other things in Oregon aren't that great right now ☹️
  3. Welcome to the group . . . . . we all share each other's anticipation and excitement!
  4. I'll bet you are getting excited! We still have 209 days to wait 😣
  5. Perhaps some things are better left alone?
  6. @Patriot Lookin' good! I know, it has nothing to do with gutters, but what color are your decals?
  7. Yes to the grates. I'll be able to use our cast iron two burner griddle.
  8. Yes . . . . that is what our sales associate says . . . . and the entertainment system, as well. They are in the process of updating their site for the 2021 model. "Stay tuned" . . . . .
  9. Does your stove have a 7,200 BTU burner, though?
  10. Same here . . . . I think this is a higher quality than the standard Dometic RV stoves. And you're right about the grommets - one of ours split - I think I saw on another forum that a replacement set is $50! In addition, one of the little black stoppers on the glass top went missing. What I really like is that the new Oliver stove doesn't have a black rubber seal around the rim, where it sets into the counter top. Our current RV has this and it melts if a hot pan touches it. The flat cast iron grates are nice, too.
  11. Thanks for your kindness 😊
  12. From photos I have seen, this appears to be the stovetop Oliver is using now. The higher BTU burner is on the left. My question is in response to this review: Dometic™ D21-SEC (50216) RV 2-Burner Propane Cooktop - Stainless Steel - Cast Iron Grate Posted by Sailor Chris on May 2nd 2020 "The cast iron grate was a major attraction for marine use. It offers a good stable base. The left hand burner (hotter one) is too powerful for the base frame, the stainless side frame becomes scorched. I did not check before purchase about the thermo-couples - it does not have them. I did not check because I thought that these are a standard, even mandatory, safety feature. Buyer beware."
  13. It looks like the newer stove installation, with it mounted sideways, places it close to the wall. I'm wondering if the heat, while cooking, can damage the fiberglass wall, especially since the highest BTU burner is nearest the wall. Does anyone use something for a heat shield when cooking? Thanks
  14. I wasn't clear . . . . I meant to ask how you attached the magnets to the dinette seat and door . . . . I read a prior post and see they have been attached with tape. Searching for double sided tape I find: Command strips, 3M Double sided VHB foam tape, and another called "nano" gel tape (removable). Not sure what to use. Am I making this difficult, or what? 😕
  15. How did you attach?
  16. Could someone who installed the magnets - one on the door and one on the inside of the dinette seat post a link for the magnets used? Thanks
  17. I always blamed that on birds or squirrels when we camp under trees. Perhaps you were the culprit . . . . . .
  18. Let us know if you try the magnetic door hold for either the bathroom or entrance doors. Curious to hear how it works for you and if there is a good way to attach it without screws. https://nickleatlantic.com/products/magnetic-door-retainer
  19. So, not to be concerned?
  20. Besides having a consistent temperature, would it also help to install while the trailer is going to be idle to give the adhesive time to cure? Has anyone asked Oliver why they don't install gutters during the build?
  21. I'm confused . . . . . does this only happen when the AC is running? How do the stabilizer jacks fit into the equation? Is it only occurring on newer models and only Elite IIs? Funny noises from unknown sources drive me nuts! Someone needs to figure this out before we get our new Oliver 😖 I'm certainly going to ask about this during our orientation. We had a loud chirping in our van while on a road trip last summer. My husband doesn't hear well, so he was no help. First it sounded like it was outside, but when I went out to investigate, it would sound like it came from the inside. I finally determined it was loudest in the stand-alone shower stall, but when I would look in the shower, it quit. Then I thought maybe something on the shower skylight; nothing there. I finally discovered a cricket that had apparently hijacked in on a box I had stowed in the shower. Just like the hull of an Oliver, the fiberglass shower was like a drum. Hopefully the mystery will be solved.
  22. Thank you for sharing this bit of history . . . . These are the things they should be teaching in school. BTW: I am related to one of the signers through my dad's lineage - Robert Morris. Hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day.
  23. @Patriot What is the red cylinder?
  24. The next time I see them I will get a picture. I've only seen it deployed a couple of times. I do believe it was like the Mega Cab pictured above. I do know their pickup is a 2500. My mom had the Dodge Caravan with stow and go seats like above.
  25. By tool/storage boxes are you referring to the new style that are built into the sides of the bed?
