@John DorrerCampsite was B70. I think it was the best one in the place as there was no one between us and the mountain.

We recently returned from a week-and-a-half-long trip through Glacier and Banff for my 50th Birthday. Farily last minute all 3 of my girls decided to join us on this trip. This created some logistical challenges we had to figure out. We got it all worked out but it left us with one night where no one had a place to stay except in the Ollie. That meant all 5 of us sleeping in the trailer! Who says it is just a couple's trailer, bring on the family camping π Not a great picture but had to share. The girls were great sports about it and we had a fun night hanging out and watching a movie. We ended up having a wonderful birthday trip through Glacier and Banff. It was our first time in Banff and it did not disappoint. An amazing hike up Avalanche Lake in Glacier. And then we got an amazing site in Banff Tunnel Mountain II Lake Louise did not disappoint either. We also had a great time talking with our neighbor, who was headed to Alaska in their EarthRoamer (pricey little machine)! Overall, an incredible way to celebrate a 50th birthday!

2" 1UP hitch post doesn't fit 2" Oliver bike receiver π΅
Zodd replied to GlacierGirl's topic in General Discussion
I just got the heavy duty 2β and it fit my receiver as expected. Mine is an after market receiver though. About to try it out on our first trip. Is the anti-wobble bolt already tightened on your rack by chance? -
Looks like someone was not paying attention when installing the jack.

I'm not sure how you can enjoy a roomy spot with nice grass and a view. Hope you can make it through the week π

For your 3B route you also pass the Atomic Museum Experimental Breeder Reactor-I. If that type of history is of interest to you I highly recommend it. We enjoyed the self-directed tour a lot and found it very educational. We also did Craters of the Moon last year and hiked into the Lava Caves which was very enjoyable. If the weather turns hot while you are there make sure to bring water as it can get very hot in the sun walk over all the black lava rock. It is very cool scenery. While in Twin Falls along with the Shoshone Falls Park the Scenic View Perrine Coulee Waterfall is cool as well.

Plus one for the power adapter. It works great with rearview mirrors that have power. I have that in my truck and makes power and setup easy. I have a Rove as well. Hides behind the rearview.

First true boondocking adventure for us this weekend for our shakedown. No reservations and just showing up to see what we could find. We lucked out to find only us with a spot next to the river in a bird sanctuary. Thank you Army COE! To be honest, I never thought a camping adventure like this would ever happen!

I know this topic has been frustrating for many people, especially those who believe everyone should have followed a specific order. However, I also understand that many are waiting for updates and want reassurance that their concerns are being addressed. So here is my story. A few months ago, I filed my paperwork. Last week, I learned that Oliver had shipped my replacement parts to the dealer I selected, Bretz RV in Liberty Lake, WA. They provided me with a tracking code, so I called the dealer. They informed me that they could schedule my service for the day the parts were set to arrive, which was on Tuesday. I dropped off my trailer and spoke with the dealer. He mentioned that Oliver had just called him to verify the recall, parts delivery, and the work needed for my trailer. Three days later, on Thursday, I picked up the trailer. The service was delayed by a day due to confusion over whether the work was warranty-related or a recall. They initially thought it was warranty work and were waiting for an approval call from Oliver. Once they clarified that it was indeed a recall, they finished the job and got the trailer back to me. Ideally, none of this would have happened, or at least, the wait would not have been so long. However, once Oliver shipped the parts, my experience with Oliver and the dealer network I used was quite pleasant. I hope more of you out there start to get this notice and have a seamless repair experience.

So at those numbers, assuming there is any weight behind them, but given Oliver's slow action on this front it seems their might be, we are looking at almost 2 years before everyone is fixed up. Given Oliver's reputation, I certainly hope this is not their response. But I also have not heard a word since I submitted paperwork 2 months ago.

Wrong lug nut size provided with trailer?

What is the 13/16 for? -
Wrong lug nut size provided with trailer?
Zodd replied to Zodd's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Ours is used as well so maybe that is where it happened. Was still in the plastic bag so assumed it was original but bag was not sealed. Either way thanks for saying what yours is. Off to get one tomorrow. -
I have spent the weekend getting the trailer ready for the new season. As part of this, I decided to check the torque of the lug nuts. Per the owner's manual, they should be 110 foot pounds. So I grabbed my torque wrench bar and the Oliver-provided socket of 13/16, and to my surprise the 13/16 slips right off the bolt when I try and tighten, or loosen, any lug nuts (I tried multiple tires and lug nuts). Did Oliver really provide me the wrong size socket head?! What do others have? If you have a 13/16 have you used it successfully on a lugnut? What am I missing here? It seems I need a 3/4 socket head (sadly, I don't have one yet to verify it will work fine), but I'm shocked the socket head that came with my trailer will not work on the lugnuts on said trailer! Very happy I did not need it last season and happy I am testing this out while it sits on the side of my house! Hoping I am missing something here, and I can chalk this up to being dumb about this.

Beauty Creek Campground is right in my neck of the woods. A great little spot not far off the freeway but far enough. The spots are all great. They are isolated so you feel pretty alone. Mineral Ridge is a hike close by that is great. You could do a driveway surf, but it is further off the road and not as nice as the Beauty Creek Campground. We are happy to help with any needs.

It is not that it will cost you "at least $50". I have had months where I activated late in the cycle and only paid $40. But you always pay for the reminder of the billing cycle,e even if you only activate for 4 days. Nope, streaming TV/Movies goes through it fast. An HD movie/TV that is 2 hours long will average about 6GB of data. So, do that every day for 6 days, and you will use up about 70GB of data.
-
You have this wrong based on how I read this. Yes, you can pause your service, but that does not mean you can pick it back up and use the rest of your 50GB plan 2 months later. You will be charged a pro-rated amount for the rest of the month (based on the first activation) when you activate the plan again. So if you first activated on the 10th of the month and deactivated at the end of your 30 days and then two months later activated starting on the 20th of the month, your billing would be pro-rated based on a 30-day billing cycle that begins on the 10th.) So you can't make your $50 and 50GB stretch out over 2,3 or 4 months. It is easy to activate and deactivate. We have even forgotten to activate our plan until we got to the campsite where we had no cell coverage. You can fire up the Startlink and use limited connectivity to activate your plan on the spot and with in a few mins, your plan is active, and you have full connectivity.

I think the Ramcharger sounds very interesting and has a much more compelling design than other trucks in the space. However, I don't like being any gen 1-3 versions of any engine, so it will probably be a while before I consider it. Need to let the dust settle first.

Agreed. Just after Spokane you can go the route that takes you through Leavenworth. It is a pretty little Bavarian town and the drive is pretty. Deception Pass is a really cool place to visit and go down to the beach. Also the Heritage Flight Museum up by Mount Vernon is cool and depending on timing you could be there for fly day. My wife and I will be headed that way in late April for a pickleball tournament we go to every year.

Maybe we need a conversion rate π. I imagine it would be self-reported and not an official metric we somehow track on everyone, some claim whatever badge you feel good about claiming LOL.
-
I like the idea of badges. They probably need more granular steps than just those 3 (every 250?). I am still in the early phase but dreaming of the day I can start racking them up faster.

This is a bummer. The last I heard, they had gotten enough pushback on the large jump they were reconsidering. I guess the pushback was not enough. That is a large jump in fees which, I imagine, will just result in a lot fewer people buying it.

I just put some painters tape over the button and turn the fridge all the way down. Keep the door open and a little baking soda inside.

What is the humidity level in the trailer when you do this?
-
On the topic of humidity when winterized in the trailer what all do you target and use? I figured I could do <50 using damprid but using that has hardly had much effect and humidity is staying at about 72% which feels too high. I put a second damprid in thinking maybe it just needs two but no impact. The trailer is covered with vents closed. Maybe I need to open vents? Just figured with it being covered opening vents would not do much and maybe even make it worse living in the inland northwest.
