  1. We have a fairly steep driveway, and the front is way up to get the trailer level. It works fine. I ordered a new foot plate from Barker.
  2. Ball was greased. I used a grease remover and cleaned it completely up to a nice shiney chrome finish. I took a number of photos and sent them to a tech at B & W and he didn't see anything strange on the ball.🙃
  3. B & W Stow and Go with marked 2" & 2-5/16" on the top of each ball
  4. No pictures. Trailer is back in storage. After a day processing, we are sure the trailer was secure on the ball. My wife directs me back and when we have the ball where we want it under the hitch, I lower the hitch. Once I know it is seated, I squeeze the lever and slide the slide closed. With it closed, I turn to my wife and we give each other Knucks and she hands me the pin to insert. After the incident and getting the front raised, I pulled the pin and opened the hitch. The bridge joint was a hard impact. It must have shut our dash cam off, or leaving it on when I went to the store and left it on overnight may have errased it. I wonder if this was a combination of bad bridge joint, new Alcan 5-leaf springs, and wear or issue with the 2" Bulldog. I'm not willing to go through that again. Requested pricing from Oliver so I can have them ship the 2-5/16". When I pick up the trailer, I will be taking roads less traveled straight to my Truck Service place to get it replaced. I may ship to Bulldog to have them determine what may have caused the failure.
  5. In process of getting the 2-5/16
  6. That is a mystery. I was so shaken that I started checking to see if the jack worked. I had to disconnect everything, which meant no flashers on the trailer and is flying by, that all I wanted to do is get hooked up and off the shoulder. So not sure whether this was my error or something that was the perfect storm. Bad bridge joint, new springs, something with the Bulldog. The Bulldog looked fine.
  7. Yesterday while traveling home from Northern Indiana on US 31, we hit a bridge joint. It was a big jolt followed by a load bang. Looking back the front of the trailer had dropped. We slowed and pulled off onto the shoulder. The crossed chains did their job, as did the brake cable. Got out and was pretty shaken so I didn't look closely at the hitch, and can't remember anything, other than the pin was in place. We just had Alcan 5-leaf springs installed and our travel home was completing the 500 miles before re-torque, which will be done tomorrow. The springs are still stiff and will be for awhile. Wonder if this could have contributed I found no damage to the Bulldog Hitch. We have the 2" ball and 2" Bulldog. Very scary. Only damage was the foot plated of the front jack. I will get that replaced.
  8. Ha! Ha! You beat me to it again. Well this should be interesting. Mike Sokol is doing his own testing, and doing a number of different tests. He just got 2 old Battleborn's to test them.
  9. Just had our Alcan Springs installed today, along with Bulldog Shocks on our 2022. The Dexter Springs had started to flatten anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4". I had a spare Dexter 4-Leaf spring that the arch measured at 3-3/4".
  10. Watch for our fall trip, Michigan, Michigan UP, Minnesota ( North shore of Lake Superior, and Wisconsin on Lake Superior
  11. Maybe an Alaskan Cruise😊
  12. Not with the Oliver, maybe a cruise🙃
  13. 8/10/14 to 5/15/26. I wish I had kept total mileage. Need to check computer when I get home. Started logging Out/In mileage at some point. I will check.😊
  14. The 48th state was Rhode Island. We completed the last fifteen (15) states over the past 12 Months. Newport, RI was a fun town to complete the job.
  15. I ordered and received all heavy duty shackles, bolts, and U-bolts with my order from Alcan, per David Austin.
  16. Sorry you had that happen. Oliver was probably correct with their assessment. People driving on washboard roads, chemically treated roads, and a bad Chinese spring, can all come into play. Not much Oliver can do as they just install the Dexter suspension There is a former Oliver owner that sold their Oliver and bought a different brand. On their first trip their springs flattened. They were replaced and flattened again. They upgraded to a 5th Wheel and I believe doing an Alcan upgrade. Unfortunately, things happen. We have a 3 week trip and then get them replaced June 1st.🤞
  17. Unaware of any issues on the 5200 lb. Axels since Oliver switched to the 5200 lb. axels. After 5 years we are replacing shocks and having Alcan 4-leaf springs installed. The place that services our suspension said they noticed a slight flattening of the springs. The Alcans just arrived.
  18. I get that, but the axels should be 5,200 on all Oliver's starting in 2022. Maybe I misread what he said. He said he has D35 axels, when it should be D52, rated at 3,500.
  19. The axel weight doesn't seem right. In 2022 Oliver switched to the D52 (5,200 lb), rated at 3,500 lbs due to the 4-leaf spring. Why would Oliver switch back to 3,500 lbs? I'm not sure you are providing the correct information. The older trailers were 3,500 lbs. and these trailers are experiencing the spring breaking. 5,200 axels have been installed since 2022.
  20. Davis Lake was a great stop on our journey from Nashville to Natchez on the Trace.
  21. Welcome and Congrats from Hull #1045, Jolli Olli
  22. Just ordered mine at O'Reilly's. Supposed to be in next week. June 1st for spring and shock replacement
  23. Just received our Alcan Springs 5-leaf with heavy duty hardware. We will be having them installed as 4-leaf. Scheduled for first of June around a short Indiana trip. Will do the two 50 mile drives same day and they will re-torque, and then after our Indiana camping trip for the 500 re-torque.
  24. A 2' level does the job. Set on the rear bumper for side to side. Add levelers as needed, chock and disconnect. I take the 2' level up against the belly band and raise or lower to get level Actually a good idea to have the tongue raised slightly to allow flow in the tanks toward the back. Very simple
