Day/Night Window Shade Questions

Someone listed around $150 per window if I remember. Just don't remember where it was posted. -
Day/Night Window Shade Questions
John Dorrer replied to rideandfly's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
We have both street side shades have strings break. The shades still work, though at a slight angle. I reached out to Oliver and plan on having both frames and shades replaced later this year or 2/27. Oliver said replacement would be no problem. We have ZERO desire to re-string them ourselves. I'm more in the leaks at windows have more to do with the lights above the windows, clogged window tracks, or a defect in the window itself. The windows are set into a tight seal of tape caulk. The sealant is a secondary line of defense, which also protects the tape caulk from UV.

You would be drilling into aisle in our 2022. The original adhesive install was poor and mine came off. I had to use a puddy knife to scrap the old off, alcohol to remove all the fiberglass dust on the backside of the board and the fiberglass. Cleaned it twice, let it dry, applied the heavy duty Gorilla construction adhesive, wedged the board into the adhesive, and kept the wedge tight against the board for 5-6 days. Yes drilling would be a big, big mistake.

All things electric and all things internet are beyond me. I can update my signature map, and then after the next trip can't figure how to do itπ

The key is keeping it clean when camping We us our small vacuum or compressed air. We inspect before closing a window so we don't grind up debris. We call it daily preventative maintenance, and it pays off as our tracks have never had an issue.

We always travel with a full fresh tank We like to start with our home water. We have a water softener and high performance filter system that goes with us. We tow with an F250 6.2 gasser. The tanks are installed between the the bottom two shells. The area is insulated and heated by the furnace. As noted in TopGun's photos. Rest at ease. Those tanks aren't going anywhere.

I'm only aware of one 2022. It boils down to how much driving on washboard roads and driving on salt treated roads with your Oliver IMO. I have put lots of mileage on our 2022 and between the Mother Ship and the Truck Service place, and my visual observations, I'm told nothing is showing up that would point to a potential problem. I intend to continue with my springs for the immediate future, and hope I'm not playing Russian Roulette.

Oliver, I had one knocked off (Plastic Cap on the hub cap). Forget the price. I got it within a few days of reaching out Oliver.

Mike Sokol posted another email newsletter on Battleborn. It is too long to screen shot, so you will need to get on the newsletter mailing.

I reached out to RV Electrical Guru, Mike Sokol on his Facebook site. He responded that he would dig into this and today he posted on his email newsletter. He has asked people to respond if they had experienced any battery overheating.
