  1. Can not find that (7L279 or 7104126) part number. Who did you order from with that part number?
  2. Jd123 I have done a fair amount of auto/truck work over the years so this project is doable. At this point I am really trying to decide to lower the equalizer by removing the equalizer hanging bracket bolt OR remove the leaf spring connection to the equalizer to lower the equalizer. Your thoughts?
  3. One last question to all who have been so helpful. Should I release the leaf spring shackles on one side of the equalizer to drop/lower the equalizer to install new zerks? OR Should I remove the equalizer hanger bracket center bolt to drop/lower the equalizer to install the new zerks? (I am still going to try to install the zerks without lowering the equalizer...but I know that likely will not work.) Thanks to all.
  4. ScubaRx While cleaning the area today I thought when I have the parts I would give it a go without dropping the equalizer. Previous comments made that sound impossible...but still will try. Still flexible with long fingers... You recommended not disconnecting the leaf springs but rather just the center equalizer bolt. Sounds good. Have you done this? Has anyone else?
  5. Not that I job-out this kind og work. It has been that paired with other work and mostly while traveling. Should be fine...
  6. https://www.greatlakesskipper.com/search/?q=7L279+compression+latch Greetings, I know your efforts were two years ago. However, could you please takea look at the Great Lakes Skipper site and share which compression latch worked on your Oliver? Thanks much.
  7. I agree. However fate has sent me in that direction already. I decided to clean and inspect the other side. While cleaning I notice one zerk was on an odd direction. It was so loose it came off in my hand; not broken...just that loose! I tested it on the first side by hand it fit fine.So tomorrow to the parts store I go with my sample zerk. Dumb luck is important in life.
  8. The collective Forum wisdom is correct. Upon taking off the tires for a better view there are no zerks but there appears to be zerk sockets. Now collect the tools and parts for the project in a couple days. Any further zerk replacement project advice? Thanks to all.
  9. Morning. Were you able to replace/tighten the zerks without unhooking the axles?
  10. If you recall; which Dexter zerks were what thread size?
  11. Any advice on how to drop the equalizer? Am I correct that when I jack-up both wheels off the ground (and secure the trailer) will it be safe to release the leaf spring bolts to the equalizer?
  12. Please do measure the thread size and pitch as offered. Thank-you.
  13. FloraFauna & Bill, Thanks for your replies. I understand that Dexter makes ex flex with and without zerks. I assumed that my Oliver had the ez flex without zerks as Oliver used in the past. You both raised a different possible answer that my ez flex once had zerks but both have become loose and fallen out. Interesting different answer and warrants inspection...
  14. I have a 2022 Elite II. Prior to this time I have had my leaf springs and ez flex hanger zerks greased by trailer service departments. Today as I prepped to do the the 16 zerks (8 on each side) myself I determined that I have 8 on one side and six on the other. On one side the two ez flex hanger zerks are missing; I have just the 6 leaf spring shackle zerks! It would certainly appear I purchased an incorrectly assembled Oliver suspension system. I will call Oliver on Monday, but I am just outside of my two warranty period and I am assuming I am on my own even though I just discovered their assembly error. Any thoughts, advice, sympathy and/or empathy? Thanks.
  15. I was at Oliver two weeks ago and service manager Mike took off one of my hubs (to confirm axle type) and he took the hub off (and replaced) without taking the wheel off so quick I missed his method...but he did it.
  16. Oh yes, having a bike rack on with two bikes is a real pain in the project...
  17. Oh I know this story too well. My yesterday morning in Salida, Co in the attached photos. I used both a jack and the stabilizing jacks. When using the stabilizer does one use both? Also, why not just remove the hub cap for socket access and then put back on?
  18. Good to meet you in the Oliver "campground" when you arrived for your leak repair. Good it is now fixed...bad about the cost. Be well.
  19. I too made the jump from a NuCamp 400 to an Oliver. I don't regret my Oliver purchase; but I still have a fond spot in my heart for NuCamp in general and my Boondock 400...
  20. New Starter. Diagnostic port code P06E9. Real hot weather (SW USA camping trips) reported as additional P06E9 performance impact in powertrain control module.
  21. Appt at the Ford garage tomorrow. Thanks for all the input.
  22. Will be in the Durango area in September; any camping location recommendations? Thanks
