  1. What a great idea! If we had a truck with a cap, that sounds like a good plan. But I don’t think I’ll be doing that on the Land Cruiser. I’d need the magnetic mount which sticks up pretty high, and some way to get all those cables inside. I plan to add an Ethernet switch and hard wire the router to an Apple TV, Echo Dot, and laptop.
  2. Oops, forgot the link… https://mobilemusthave.com/pages/speed-demon-5g-mobile-internet-bundle
  3. I’m looking at this setup, which is currently $1080 and is a LOT better than the $1950 Oliver option, with 5G/4G/LTE, WiFi and GPS antennas vs just LTE. And works with any carrier. I’ll call Oliver tomorrow.
  4. Still looking for info from anyone with factory installed antenna or receiver. Lots of deals out there, but before I commit I’d like to know how the cables/wires get through the hulls. Thanks
  5. I was just perusing that sale from my email. Our new Oliver will come with a 30A shore power cord (25' or 50'?) And I probably should pick up an additional extension. Do I need just a regular 30A plug, or a locking 30A plug? Thanks!
  6. Not specifically listed as Black Friday sale, but Amazon has a 20% off coupon on the Grohe thermostatic shower valve that some folks have installed. That's $58 off of the $291 Amazon price. I haven't compared this to elsewhere, because I'm not at a point where I know for sure I'll be adding an alternate shower valve. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ROB2O0C/?coliid=I3IYPGNV73LDXJ&colid=R9JV77V82AV9&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  7. Not listed as a Black Friday deal, but Amazon has an $85 off coupon for the TST 507 Tire Monitor System w/6 caps. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078P5GG76/?coliid=I2PNNC7BYUVKX4&colid=R9JV77V82AV9&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  8. No, what you wrote was very clear. My disappointment is that they'd identified a problem installing windows, implemented a new protocol on how to install the windows, and yet the windows in your trailer were not installed per those new protocols. Management and QC can solve any problem, but that doesn't always help if the guy putting the parts together doesn't follow explicit instructions.
  9. Other than the terrestrial TV antenna, we did not order any wifi, satellite, or cellular boosters. All of this technology is changing so rapidly, that we figured anything we order now will be obsolete in a couple of years. And, the Oliver options seem pretty expensive. So, we plan to do our own. Figuring out the antenna, cellular router, data plan, etc. is discussed ad nauseam across YouTube, so I don't need any help there. What I do need to find, is where Oliver routes the cables that penetrate the hull. Is there a "tube" bonded between the inner and outer hull with a waterproof connector? Or a single hole with a typical RV waterproof connector epoxied to the hull in an area where the inner hull is cut away? I know that there are AC and DC available in the cabinet above the TV. Is there anything in the front closet for either AC or DC power? Thanks for any input, Steve
  10. Yea, weird. I wrote to the admin (using Deb’s account) asking for it to be reviewed and could she tell me what I did that was wrong. Just got a reply today. “Nope. too much drama” 🙁 I was really looking forward to interacting with the local owners on there once our trailer arrives, and joining their “Rolling Rallies” sub-group where members arrange gatherings. I sure don’t get it…
  11. There's no PDF link like in the other blog posts Edit: I guess these are supposed to be videos, but nothing shows up on any of the posts containing videos, using Safari on a Mac desktop computer. I found them by going directly to the University

  13. Thank you for the wonderfully detailed delivery report, Ralph! Like you, I'm surprised and a bit disappointed that the oft reported problems are still occurring. Hopefully, someone at Oliver will see your report and knock some heads on the production floor. I've kept mental notes on things to check at our March 28 delivery, but nowhere near 100 items. Any chance that you'd share your list?
  14. Up to you whether to ask them to remove some of the detail, but I don't know that I'd have posted it here. Normally, it is just one of tens of millions of street view shots, but by posting it here with your address, it ties you with a physical address. Using just the image above, I can tell that you bought the house in 2016, how big it is, what you pay in taxes, etc. John's new avatar. 😉
  15. Yep, that was mentioned in my previous post. Sorry, didn’t mean to get off topic in my own post. 😂 I was just trying to find the Black Friday list I’d seen somewhere, and thought it was on here. I’ve got a list of goodies in a wishlist on Amazon, and check every day to see if any have been discounted. So far, no luck.
  16. I hope you both recover quickly! The folks who took delivery of #1292, the last of the 2022 models, ended up with a non-working toilet all last weekend in the Oliver campground. They were understandably irked. A very long and divisive thread resulted, then disappeared. After a couple days with no news, I asked what happened to the posting, and said that I hoped it wasn’t deleted so as to only show positive deliveries. For that, I was put in detention for a month, only allowed one post a day and one reply an hour. When I could next post, I asked what I’d done wrong, explained I’m not being confrontational, and asked that the detention be removed. For that, I was permanently banned. Makes no sense to me. First time I’ve ever been reprimanded in nearly 40 years of forums, groups, listserves, etc. Hey, you asked… 🤪
  17. No, I’ve read through that one before. The one I saw was just a couple of days ago, but I can’t find it. Thanks anyway Maybe it was over on the Facebook group. I got banned over there yesterday, so I can’t look. 🤷
  18. Based on the brochure, about four feet, That's based on guessing the rear bumper is about 18" And, John has faster fingers than me. 😉
  19. Maybe my memory is worse than I thought. Wasn't there a thread to collect RV related sales posted by (I think) @Katjo? We're hoping to snag some goodies on sale before our March pickup.
  20. I saw that and also was concerned. We don’t yet k ow where we’ll store our trailer so haven’t installed a 30 Amp line. Probably won’t before our March 29 delivery, either. Hopefully the low enter sun here in Ohio will keep them topped off.
  21. Thanks for the heads up Ken. From the Etrailer photos on the Tundra and Sequoia it looked pretty tucked underneath. I don’t have my trailer yet, and not sure where I’m going to park it at this point, either. So I may not need one anyway.
