I use WD 40 to lift the bug debris initially, but just soaking the area in question with a wet towel laid over the area for several hours will also do wonders. I do this on my motorcycle fairing and screen. On the airplane I just soak the windshield with anything liquid then use Plexus. As mentioned use a thick coat of Plexus, regular car wax, or PlastiX product to serve as a polish. I never try just washing them away, its futile.

I stayed at Fall Hollow Campground last week, motorcycle trip camping, and toured the Oliver factory on Thursday the 9th. It was a very enjoyable experience both at the campground and the factory. I would encourage anyone to check out the campground as Noel and Sheri are new owners having moved from Michigan last Fall in order to purchase the campground. It is about 35 acres of really nice fields, woods and Swan Creek. They run the restaurant there and serve excellent meals as well. The Natchez Trace is right there too and I rode part of it on Friday, then headed back home. If you enjoy historical venues then the Natchez Trace is 400 miles of an amazing drive through time.

There is only one person who I elect to do this detailed endeavor for you, and all of us, and that is BUZZY! No doubt he will be formulating the very lists you request, as of right now he has owned his new pride and joy only about 3 days, but I have not doubts if you keep an eye out that many good things will be evolving from his posts. He loves his Ollie and his desire to delve into every aspect of its being is unsurpassed. I hope he reads this, as I had the good fortune of visiting the Oliver factory and meeting Buzzy and admiring his new Ollie on June 9th.

Buzzy: I was enjoying the discussions on Solar Panels, Black Water dumping, etc then you posted the Ollie Song.....OH THE HORROR.....I think you're getting punchy with anticipation about picking up that new Oliver trailer! Now back to regular programming....

Very informative vid. I wonder how acrylic compares to glass in regards to being more easily scratched? Speaking of 2017 models, which month are those usually announced and able to be preordered?

Looks like a great time for all, thanks for the pics. How does a new owner decide on the front graphic? I like the one pictured in the eighth photo down, but wondering if there is a gallery of possible decals or whether a new owner could just have one fabricated to his personal preference?

For me, its more a question of gas vs diesel for pulling a heavy load, and for me it is always diesel that wins out. I've had a Toyota Tundra and am now on my second Dodge Ram diesel (3500 SRW) and I much prefer the grunt of the diesel. I've hauled a car trailer with a 1969 chevelle on the trailer and it was effortless with the Dodge, especially when crossing mountains. I am getting 16 mpg around town and 20-22 mpg on the highways, with no trailer, in the Dodge. I'm anticipating an easy haul with the yet to be purchased Oliver.

My mom was from Nova Scotia and about 6 years ago I did a 10 day motorcycle tour of the entire province mostly by following the coastline. Fortunately I was able to see moms sister shortly before she passed away. It's a true gem of an area and as you mentioned, some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Hope to return some day in a Oliver.

Thanks for the welcome Bill and the photos from Montana, been there many a time and one of my favorite places ever to go. "Heaven on Earth" is how I refer to Montana. Regarding your red wolf sighting, hate to burst that bubble, but was probably a coyote, many experts have difficulty in telling the two apart, and the red wolf is endangered and mostly confined to the Albemarle Peninsula: "The problem is, the 100 wild red wolves are believed to inhabit a fairly limited area. Their native habitat includes a mere five counties in Eastern North Carolina, specifically the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. Here, the Fish and Wildlife Service planned to monitor and help the red wolf packs to recovery." I am a huge advocate for all wolf recovery, but that is another story. I am very familiar with the Little Switzerland area via the Blue Ridge Parkway and yes, on a bike. Hope to hear more about your Oliver!

Buzzy, thanks for the warm welcome, and I have done as you requested and posted a few quick grab pics of the wolves (both as puppies and adults) and a couple of my German Shepherds. Not exactly Oliver material and hope the forum moderators will allow a bit of lee way in that regard. I promise to post lots of pics once I get the Oliver and am on the road. BTW, thanks for the link to wolf hollow.

As the introductory title would imply, I have not yet purchased an Oliver trailer but am scheduled to do a factory tour mid June. Heather at Oliver has been extremely helpful thus far and I have spent days here exploring the forums. I have had the desire to purchase a travel trailer for many years but now being recently retired in 2013 I finally will take that plunge. My background is that I have been an avid backpacker and tent camper for my entire life since a young age in Boy Scouts. My other interests include fly fishing, photography, motorcycles, dogs, wolves (I'm a volunteer at a local wolf habitat) and as a private pilot I enjoy my Cessna 172. There have been many challenges amidst this life journey but I'm hopeful of enjoying the travels and adventures that will take me back to the West and onward to many other areas. I have visited the entire lower 48 states by motorcycle and truck, always camping, I dislike hotel stays with a passion, and ultimately my aspiration is to make it to Alaska, and yes hopefully in an Oliver. Seems like a great forum here and hope to learn as much as possible.
