  1. I experienced dropouts on my first install. Measured resistance across cheap fuses in system and found they had high resistance causing heat and cutout also. Awesome install! Run my a/c last week on batteries, working well. 85 degrees out and can get through complete day on my 400 ah battleborn batteries and my victron. Great work!
  2. I am using this setup to charge my 4 x Battleborn batteries. The Main unit is under my bed and 2 x 2000 watt are under the garage. I drilled hole so they sit perfectly in dead corner of the garage. and main unit sits under my bed. Ill have to crawl and get pictures. FYI you could charge your main batteries with your goal zero. With 97 percent efficiency on the new dc to dc charger you will not lose much !
  3. Beutiful Install, Im Jealous you have double the power with my Battleborns. I love the Victron in last two rigs I had , power assist makes all difference in world, I never blow a basic breaker on anywhere I plug into. The only issues I did notice is the victron when charging or running and getting hot vibrates and is noisy against the wall. I placed a piece of bubble foil behind the victron on my install for sound dampening and should have painted the surface with Lizard skin or some sound dampening material. How noisy is your unit when running? Just curious Thanks Ty I have ordered the new victron 12v to 12volt charger to charge my Battleborn batteries as the efficiency is 95 percent or more on the unit. I am going to charge those batteries with a Pecron all in one unit with two 300 packs attached. I like your install with bigger batteries and watch a lot of Will Prowse videos also. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!
  4. I my xantrex had dc charger built in. I rewired my total dc side though did not like wiring from factory. You should be able to remove the dc xantrex charger. Yours is different layout would have to follow your wires. Never touched ac side at all except hooked up proper breaker to proper spot. AC on fridge and ac on air conditioning were wired backwards from factory. Found that out when tried running AC off my batteries alone. Rewired dc side with victron shunt and lynx distribution on fender well. Very tight
  5. Well. They won't be easy to remove. Time will tell on these. Here's 300 watts. I taped all corners after these pictures with light eternabond.
  6. Just for Giggles , do you have another water pump and accumulator you could switch onto the system. I have a water issue in one of my campers, changed out both of them and situation seemed to be resolved. Farthest sinks from pump were low pressure. The pump was just weak? I have even had new ones weak off the get go.
  7. Looks great. Excellent Job! Do you know of the amount of watts its drawing? It has to add a little more current draw to the system?
  8. I purchased also the Orion dc to dc charger 30 amp , but I charge from a spare power station I have. Victron has new DC to DC charger 50 amp that is scheduled to be released in us next month. Its 98 percent efficient compared to existing 82 percent. Lower temperature from high efficiency. I preordered it, of course they improve it. It also will tie into my victron components . Great Job on your install.
  9. https://www.batterycablesusa.com/ If your not as patient as me in making cables. Battery cables usa is a wonderful resource. Im redoing my electrical in oliver with a vicrtron lynx distributor. Check out this great manufacturer at fair prices and USA made. Very High quality. Agree totally!
  10. Another winter project with help of good friend with "SKILLS" in welding aluminum. Added Bumper box. Thanks to all who contributed on the subjet. I did get endcaps put on and license plate bracket . Before picture. Picture was taken . Will update with better pictures later when snow clears.
  11. Just Finishing My install of Nova Cool. Wow what a workout. Thanks for all of input. My biggest issues is getting it leveled in existing hole. 2.5 months of hitting it on the weekends. Thanks to all who have contributed. I closed off all my holes and purchased table on bottom hole. I know how John D. felt after installation couple times. Here are couple quick shots. Fridge door came damaged from nova Kool, box was unharmed. But door tore up on bottom. Definately a workout. Tore up old fridge to get out and put back together if anyone one needs old 3 way fridge . Give me a jingle. Used one season. Thanks for everyones input.
  12. @2500 watts and 12 volts Your amperage would be around 210 amps most I ever plan to use. Keeping the length of cable down is critical. Keeping cables under 10 ft should be o..k.k. for 2/0 according to many of charts I have looked at. Critical to have good fuse. Thats what protects your wiring.
  13. I believe stock was 1/0 they were smaller and I had a bunch of 2/0 left over from my last installation on my lance. I had ton of 2/0 used on my Lance install. Thanks
  14. Used 2/0. Changed out stock cables. Want to change out stock fuse later down the road also. Just need the time.
