  1. Just catching up… I do have both a F350 and a 2019 Ranger. I’d probably prefer to tow with the F350, as it’s a crew cab w/8 foot box, but will need a decent rock guard. My tires pick up a lot of rocks. The Eco Boost Ranger is either Eco or Boost. MPG plummets when towing. I avg 22 empty, but it drops quickly with a load. Highway empty is as high as 26. My highest complaint about the Ranger is about controls. Can’t easily see/find buttons, so use the screen… which means eyes not on road. Where are you located? steve
  2. Bill, no IR, just monochrome conversion of an iPhone image. High energy is an understatement. There are times I want an off switch for their prey drive.
  3. I currently have a Ford F350 and a Ranger. Both are rated to tow an Oliver LE II, but I’m not sure which I want to use. The F350 has a very stiff ride, to the point of me adding an Air Safe air bag between the truck and the Airstream to reduce the popped rivets in the interior skin. How well does an Oliver tolerate a rough ride? The Ranger is rated up to 7,500 pounds, but at that point, I suspect the Eco Boost is going to be all Boost and no Eco, and I don’t like over taxing a vehicle. Does anyone on the forum have real World experience with the Ranger? Thoughts? While on the towing topic, hitch recommendations? I currently use an Equal-I-Zer, which does a good job, but I’m not overly fond of the set up. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi everyone, and thanks for the replies regarding the pups. We’re wrapping up a trip to the SW, with the AS, including 92 pound Fritz (liver and tick) and Ketzel (white and liver) at 72 pounds. I’ve come to the conclusion that longer trips would be better if the fur babies vacationed in the Hound Dog Hilton. After this trip, I’m pretty sure we are going to purchase an Oliver. Taylor, we are very near Pine Creek, up against the base of the Elkhorns.
  5. Hello to the Oliver Community! We are Diana and Steve Parsons, currently Airstream owners (2012 Flying Cloud 25 FB), but have been wanting an Oliver since we learned of them via Air Forums. One of the things we need to figure out is living in a smaller trailer with to large German Wirehair Pointers. If anyone has tips on how to make it work, we’d love to hear from you. Kind Regards to all, Steve
