  1. My post was not meant in any way to be a complaint about my Oliver or the company. I believe Olivers are the best built trailer in the market. We have had nothing but wonderful interactions with the employees also. They have always treated us just like family. The quality shows after about 110 days camping in it in 2025 (90% boondocking). The post was only to help others with the issue if they experience it. Other owners post have helped me so much in the past. I will fill out a service ticket on Monday so Oliver can be aware of this. We LOVE our Oliver Elite ll.
  2. After seeing this thread I decided to check my battery support this morning. I really didn't expect to see any problem, but I received a surprise. My battery box support had two holes with no bolts. After some searching I found the bolt heads peeking out from around the wiring harness and after getting those I lifted the wiring harness and found the nuts. The idea of using a small bottle jack in this thread worked for me. I was able to place a 4 ton jack in there and raised the bracket until the holes were aligned enough to start the bolts, but I could not get them to go all the way. The angle of the bracket was off. I chose to use a small c-clamp on the bracket going from curb side to street side, that allowed the bolts to go through enough to get the nuts started. Finished it up with some blue Loctite on the threads. I have enclosed some photos of the repair. Finding this on my one year old Oliver was not expected. I would encourage everyone to check this support bracket on your Oliver to prevent future problems.
  3. Our 2018 Ram 1500 with tow pkg ,with the Anderson wdh ,did a wonderful job on our trip west this past fall. I just down shifted and took it slow down mountain passes. A 2500 would give me more payload capacity though. I have to be aware of payload when loading the back of the 1500. We stayed 7 nights in Sunshine Campground (forest service) in 2022. It's only about 8 miles from Telluride. There was no water there that year, but we hauled some from another forest service campground further down the road.
  4. Thanks JD. I had thought the axles were 5200#, which I am glad they are. All I have to do is keep a check on the springs. We like to boondock whenever possible, but have not been in really rough areas yet.
  5. @JD1923, Is this the picture you’re looking for?
  6. We’re near Orofino, ID at The Pink House BLM campground. Leaving tomorrow (Sat.) away from the smoke that has been in this area for 2 days now. Great campground with full hookups for $18 ($9 for those with the senior pass). The Clearwater River is at the backside of the campground.
  7. We were on our first long trip consisting of 2 to 3 months in the Ollie ( mostly Boondocking) . We were about 2000 miles from home in Billings,Montana and had stopped in a parking lot for lunch. I went to wash my hands and the water pump wouldn’t work. I noticed when I put pressure on one side of the switch in the bathroom it would pulse on like a momentary switch. I removed the screws from the bathroom caddy and carefully scored the caulk. When I removed the caddy all the wires fell off the switch. I had no idea which color wire went where. After a call to Oliver and with their help and research I used a pair of pliers to gently tighten the wire connectors and pushed them back on the proper spade. The red wire attaches to the center spade on the right side and the grays on the outside spades. I have two pictures that show the switch. Hopefully this post will help someone who might experience the same problem.
  8. We scored a wonderful spot at a Corps of Engineers park today (August 11,2025). Site 25 at Left Tailrace Campground near Fort Thompson, SD. The weather has been much better than Tennessee when we left for the west. Looking forward to some great boondocking in a few days as we head to higher elevation.
  9. I hope my answer to JD also answered your question.
  10. Thanks, I will try some of those.
  11. I just removed a Hasko suction cup hook and found a brown stain ring on the fiberglass. This caused me to remove another one in the bathroom and it also left a brown ring of stain. I tried several methods of removing the stain. Got most of it off, but you can still see a faint circle if you know where to look. Has anyone other than me had this problem? As for now these will not be going back up.
  12. Thanks for all the wonderful replies and well wishes. In response to JD1923 Evans & Son RV sales offered a great price on the Oliver and they do not charge any doc fees or add on fees. All the staff and owners just treated us like family. We did take the factory tour last October. It showed us just how well the Oliver is built. That tour was when the decision was made to purchase an Oliver. Everyone at the Oliver factory just treated us like family too.
  13. We just picked up our new Oliver Elite ll on Saturday Feb. 8, 2025 at Evans & Son RV in Petersburg, IN. Rained most of the way home to Tennessee, but it towed like a dream. Such a difference from our previous RV.
