gbergh
An interesting article I read in Practical Sailor. It may be of interest to some, like myself that is challenged to drill a straight hole. https://www.practical-sailor.com/boat-maintenance/diy-projects/mastering-precision-drilling-how-to-use-drill-guides?MailingID=1794&sc=SC20240814-BoatMaintenance&st=email&vgo_ee=JA0W5PcLI8UFaGVDnUeXDEo6mAAEeCjjBzSln3Cd%2Fc4%3D%3AZaF3gSySaDxQxFNjeCAFHvi8GoKHYPmk Edited August 15 by gbergh 2 Legacy Elite II Hull 218 TV 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat 2x4 5.0L Max Tow Pkg Ham W8CB South Central Michigan

The first paragraph looks interesting, but the rest is behind their paywall. While I sailed in high school (a long time ago), I don't see a boat in my life anytime soon, so a subscription is likely not a good investment for me. 😀 Looks like the author is advocating a drill guide method, which certainly seems like a promising path. With a growing number of holes that I need to put into our Ollie it's a topic I need to know more about. (Wanders off to do Internet research on drill guides and fiberglass.) The pictures did not copy. I will attempt to provide the actual article with pictures et al.. Our Olliver Trailers are like fiberglass Sailboats. Practical Sailor has articles and tests concerning almost everything related to Fiberglass. Many Oliver owners use 3M adhesives. Those like 5200 is nigh to impossible to remove. So true - I guess I am simply scared that if I invested in a subscription, I would consider it sunk cost and decide "Well I have the magazine, might as well get a boat." 🤣🤣 1 1 Current: 2023 Oliver Elite II - Hull #1364 "Reset 2.0" (Second Owner) Tow Vehicle: 2023 Ford F-150 XLT 3.5L EcoBoost /w 3.55 axle and Max Tow Package "SIlver" Original: 2022 Oliver Elite I - Hull #1030 "Reset" (For Sale) Original Tow Vehicle: 2022 Subaru Ascent "Blue Moose" Home Base: Duncanville, TX

Steve Morris
18 minutes ago, DunnYet said: "Well I have the magazine, might as well get a boat." 🤣 That sounds like my kind of logic! Having happily sold our last sailboat several years ago, I recently came across a cool double-ender at a state park lake in Ohio. In trying to identify it, I ended up on a pocket yacht and trailer sailor Facebook group, and looking through Great Lakes brokerages... 😜 1 1 1 ----- Steve - Northern Ohio, USA Wandering around on occasion, always lost. 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser - 2023 Oliver Elite II Twin Hull #1360 “Curiosity” Facebook - Instagram Camped in Curiosity = Green —— Visited with Curiosity = Gray
gbergh
A Double Ender can turn my head as fast as a beautiful lady can turn my head. God had a great day when he created Double Enders. Take a critical look at the Oliver from several feet above. Clearly looks like a double ender. 1 2 Legacy Elite II Hull 218 TV 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat 2x4 5.0L Max Tow Pkg Ham W8CB South Central Michigan
