  1. I am 6'3 and quite comfortable in the bed but I sleep on my side. The toilet area for me, however, it a bit cramped for my knees. Perhaps an elongated bowl would be better than the smallish round bowl that comes with it. Other than that, my LE2 will likely be with me for many years to come.
  2. I am kind of surprised the Tundra gave you some issues since they don't require a WDH for trailers below 5k. Obviously, your LE2 could exceed that with whatever you load into it and also what is in your truck. The reason Toyota states you can get away from it is due to their active stability system offering sway control. Were you overloaded or just wanted the diesel with exhaust brake? Nice truck, by the way. I would buy one but have an aversion to spending more the $50k for a truck.
  3. I use the jack stands as well. For everything. They are a bit less stable at max extension, but the way you have them work great and, like you said, the safest way to lift these trailers outside of a professional shop.
  4. That looks good. How much weight does it add the the trailer? Is it soft or hard?
  5. Of all the RV designs on the market, I would likely choose the Oliver as a bug-out camper for the same reasons I bought it in the first place. I have also used it to live in while the power was out in our home.
  6. I only saw one Oliver since I bought mine.
  7. Two weeks in the rain in south Texas and I am still happy I removed the horrible crap retainer. It streaked some after the rain, but it always does, even with the seal. I use Star Brite's Black Streak remover which is safe for wax, and it takes care of it. Nothing replaces working to make things nice, though. Awning works great and even though water streaks down the side between the trailer and the awning, it doesn't make a mess. I'm glad I removed it.
  8. I've been shacked up in my trailer working remotely in south Texas for over two weeks now. I have a much larger floor model that I use to control the humidity, and it works like a charm, bringing the RH from 80+ to a nice crisp 45%. I am very sensitive to mold, so this is essential for me. I have also been running the AC constantly because the outside temperature is between 80 and 95 throughout the day. I bought the Pro Breeze at Wal-Mart and gave it a 6 hour try. It removed about an ounce and the humidity rose from 45 to 78 even with the AC on. Basically useless. I returned it. As far as fresh air? I don't care about that. I have a HEPA filter running and I'm not feeling any side effects, so I'm good. I will likely try the one mentioned by @Ollie-Haus when I get a chance to order it, since the floor unit takes up half the bathroom floor. Hopefully, it will handle Texas humidity.
  9. Doesn't look like any of my stuff have those certifications. Did you find a nice compact, compressor driven tabletop dehumidifier that has these?
  10. I did think of another negative to the windows. In fact, I discovered it today when I opened the window to get pictures. They stick out about face level. They do leave an impression upon the foolish or unwary.
  11. Wire it to this? https://fithops.com/products/fithops-camp-safe-12-gauge-perimeter-trip-rescue-alarm?variant=41448589459523&utm_campaign=1872547140&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=69485715785&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=1872547140&gclid=Cj0KCQjwotDBBhCQARIsAG5pinN8D3_ApmbpWX1uKkqAQuYFJpSrlq0JsbLG3ESk-hcciu7hNo8Mn8gaAkd1EALw_wcB
  12. My windows are basically brand new, so I don’t have any reason to replace them. However, it seems replacing them with oem products might not be possible if for some reason they need it. If I did need to replace one, I would likely consider the double pane acrylics. Yes, one would look weird, so I would do them all. That would likely cost about $1,500. Not bad for an upgrade, but definitely not something I would do unless I had to.
  13. Have you been able to source some that will fit the openings of your oliver?
  14. Remind me never to visit. 😂
  15. While I agree with everything you said and do, I have some campgrounds I love that occasionally have issues with some interesting people. It happens in almost every CG I have visited. That said, most thieves are not only stupid but opportunists. They see something of value, they grab it, not realizing it can’t be used because it is tied to your account. They grab, try to pawn for drug money or such, get nothing and do it again. It is ridiculous, makes no sense, but it is human nature in its most basic sense. I leave nothing to chance on valuable items.
  16. I certainly love these windows. It was one of the selling points of the Black Series trailer. I took some pictures of mine since the rain finally stopped. The outside: Integrated bugscreen and thermal shield not only work great, they also eliminate 99 percent of light coming into or out of the trailer. My only real concern is with scratching. However, if they can be buffed or covered with a protective film, that solves it. Except for one addition item. They are quite expensive.
  17. I like this idea. I may do it myself. By the way, is that your address on the box?
  18. I sent a request in over a month ago and Oliver hasn’t responded back yet. Mine seems to be working fine so far, but I haven’t traveled too much over bumpy roads. Still waiting.
  19. Seems such a tempting target for thieves. How do you secure it?
  20. Absolutely this. Thank you.
  21. The windows you pictured are very nice double pane acrylic Overlands. I have them in my Black Series. The only downside is that they don’t come with integrated screens and they are very expensive. I also worry about scratching them. As far as I know, they dont make these in double pane glass. The frameless are nice but only single pane.
  22. That is either a manufacturers defect or you are using some of those 30 year old “you never know when we might need these” zip ties. The only ones that ever failed out of the pack are the ones that couldn’t resist the gorilla grip test.
  23. As far as GPS goes, I use my iPhone and Google maps. I don't always go the direction it tells me but it works and I don't have to buy anything else that could potentially go wrong. Paper maps, of course, are always a must. Never rely completely upon technology.
  24. Same. I ordered mine with the camera. Total junk. However, if I have some bikes back there, it might be useful to keep an eye on them. I did the same until I had two blowouts in the same camping trip. I now use a TPMS device that keeps track of not only pressure but temperature. I use this in addition to the old school method of "kicking" the tires.
  25. I deleted my picture of the map. Copied the URL for the image as follows: Then I just hit the paste function on the profile: CTRL V Edit: Of course, I hit the save button as well.
