Boudicca908 Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I have looked for over an hour, and can’t find the missing small black rubber grommet/gasket that supports the front corner of the cast iron (will try to attach photos from phone.) I can’t believe it could have squeezed down into the stove unit — it was there when I lifted out the cast iron after cooking a messy meal today. I even went through my entire garbage bag to be sure it wasn’t stuck in a paper towel. Has anyone tried to find a replacement? I’m trying to think of other pliable, soft but firm things I can use as temporary. Otherwise the cast iron will be rattling around. Any suggestions appreciated. I’m in Cody area today, so hardware is available, but tomorrow I head out boondocking and away for about 2 weeks. Steve Morris Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Mine frequently end up in the silverware drawer under the stove. I’m missing one now that’s completely gone. If you find a replacement, please post a link. 2 ----- Steve - Northern Ohio, USA Wandering around on occasion, always lost. 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser - 2023 Oliver Elite II Twin Hull #1360 “Curiosity” Facebook - Instagram Camped in Curiosity = Green —— Visited with Curiosity = Gray

I looked in the silverware drawer, but maybe I should empty it completely. I went to the hardware and purchased “Red Rubber Sheet Packing” (I would call it a piece of rubber, 2 pieces in the package) I am going to work on making a foot with a hole (for the stove top leg). If it’s successful, I will add it to my post. 1 Oliver Elite II Twin (delivered 3/28/2022) Tow Vehicle: Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel my Oliver has camped here
Snackchaser Posted July 3 Posted July 3 You can have Amazon packages sent General Delivery to a nearby Post office. Amazon has these for the Dometic stovetop for about $12: https://a.co/d/exuedxY Geoff 1 2
Boudicca908 Posted July 3 Author Posted July 3 (edited) @Snackchaser Thank you! I will check my schedule and see where I might have them delivered. I did try finding parts on the Dometic website, and couldn’t find this particular stovetop. As an aside, I learned last year that *not all Post Offices will accept General Delivery packages* — a shock to me. My Grandfather was a Postmaster. Moderators SeaDawg Posted July 4 Moderators Posted July 4 Amazon can also deliver to self-service, secure lockers at participating retail spaces. I see them at Kohls, Ross, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. Check availability when ordering , near your destination. With rampant porch pirating, and retailers wanting to increase foot traffic, it's a win win for everyone. Lockers at a gas station near me are accessible 24/7. Steph and Dud B Posted July 4 Posted July 4 LOL. We had a rental Class C motorhome that was missing all of those grommets. We didn't go 10 miles before Steph made me pull over. She couldn't stand the rattling any more. She cut up a kitchen sponge and used pieces of it as grommets. Actually lasted that way for 1200 miles. 1 1 Stephanie and Dudley from CT. 2022 LE2, Hull #1150: Eggcelsior. Tow vehicle: 2016 GMC Sierra 6.0 gas dually 4x4.
