Wandering Sagebrush
I can’t answer the “best” question, but I prefer the individual Benchmark Road and Recreation Atlases for each state I intend to visit. 1 Hull #364 - The Roadrunner 2023 F350 CCLB SRW 6.7L

I had not heard of Benchmark Atlas before. I looked them up on Amazon. I expect they would be good, but at $25 a state that could add up. What makes them so expensive? Patriot
On our recent 6000 mile 42 day trip this Atlas served us extremely well along with our Garmin 890RV. 4 2020 OLEII - Hull #634 aka- “Beauty & the Beast” - 2021 F350 6.7 liter Diesel Lariat Ultimate Tremor

Another atlas is published by DeLorme, but I believe Benchmark is better. For countrywide route planning, I use a free atlas from State Farm Insurance, but would prefer something like the Rand McNally because of the spiral binding. Edit: I just saw the post by @Patriot, and in general really like their guide books. 1 Hull #364 - The Roadrunner 2023 F350 CCLB SRW 6.7L

I just ordered that. I suspect NG and RM are both good, but I picked the NG. 1 Legacy Elite II - Twin Bed - Hull #1423 TV - 2015 Silverado 2500 Duramax
John Dorrer
For those that like to Boondock out West, Benchmark Atlas are the best, IMO, for showing BLM, USFS lands and campgrounds. We have Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Idaho, and New Mexico. The detail is amazing.

Detailed maps and you can click ANYWHERE on the map and it tells you who owns the land!
