  1. Hi Ya'll ! Got 'em at Camping World, about $16-17.oo but saw almost the same at Wally World but the swivel lights are a little differant. Originally got these for Geris Casita but when Cheri asked, inquizative minds thought: Ahhh Haaaaa! Work great and give a lot more focusable light! Will post pix when I can find my little 2.3 megapixel cam as Geris megamegapixel Nikon pix are too big to post.....
  2. Great interview ! Being we're about as technical as Morse Code, we're having trouble getting as communication mobile as ya'll...but we keep trying. We also dumped home phone and use air cards and cell phones so we're being pulled into the new stuff kickin' n screamin' ! Not sure what 5 gigabites is on our air card (using Alltel which was bought by Verizon..) hope we don't get bit $$$ by Verizon. FYI on CasitaClub.com are good friends of Chucks, Jim and Carol Upton who have traveled extensively with their cat Jerry. He started traveling at 8 weeks and is the star of about every campground they go to. He has his own stroller and is a real character. Regards, Chuck n Geri n critters(of the canine persuasion)
  3. We cured our storage problem by buyin' a 'Burb ! Gas milage is actually better than the truck and it's a 4x4. It has a rack if we need it but not sure we will. Looked at a roof top hard top carrier but we'll know better after this trip. Dogs love the middle area, much more than they had in the extended cab so we know we could put a good sized plastic container THERE if we had to Are ya' gonna' have room on top for the rockin' chair ? ? See ya at Lake Greeson, n n critters
  4. It comes with a wind wall..... and I have 2 other wind walls from my show tent when I used to do street art shows/fairs..... but to me just the fact that it protects from mosquitoes and no-see-um's is more important than prying eyes! We will use ours over the picnic table at our camping job in NM this summer!
  5. OK, we did it. We put a 3 pivotable light, 4 LED each, 6 AA battery powered in front of the Fantastic Fan. It lights up the "cutting board" area well and at my 6' 1" height, I don't bump it. http://www.intellitecproducts.com .It's up with "Extreme Velcro", the grey stuff and we'll keep ya'll posted on whether it stays where it was put, but the lighting is very nice as it can be adjusted somewhat. It cud also be screw mounted or riveted but parrallel the vent. Also put the 3 LED $1.oo puck lights in 5 of the overheads cabinets...sweet. Also put 2 of the old style 4AA batt closet lights in the big back compartment. Most of the batteries are rechargeable. Will try to get pix posted soon. n
  6. Welcome !!!! We travel with a Mini Pinscher, a miniture Aussie and a Sheltie....our Oliver is called the 'Phunny Pharm" A 4 month trip to CA and several "local" 2-3 week trips and wouldn't trade it for anything. Pete's comments are quite true...what he doesn't tell you is that Oscar is the BOSS! We will admit that our three are given a vote in what we do but they are NOT our bosses....yeah right! You'll be surprised at how well they adopt to life on the road. Ours see us packing and they KNOW.... new SMELLS!!! Try to make your first trips close to home, if possible with friends in another camper. That way they can monitor the dogs barking if you leave them in the trailer. If not, let your neighbors know that you and/or the dogs are new to camping. Many campgrounds are pet friendly because there are MANY folks traveling with their pets. We think you will find traveling with your dogs will be very rewarding, we sure do! n
  7. Above snide msg actually sent by me, tumbleweed not Geri. But we would still like to know what is happening in the wheel well area!! Again, CONGRATULATIONS on your Oliver ! Chuck
  8. We've been considering a battery powered LED lite velcroed to ceiling(rechargeable batteries of course) but haven't seen a thin enuff one yet. One over the work area wouldn't have to be quite so thin. Just food for thought n
  9. The Mount Dew supplies the caffeine to keep ya'll awake
  10. We just use a skinny bungie cord, the same ones that the Whaleys showed us to keep cabinet doors from sliding.
  11. Neat!!! Have a pair of aluminum flaps and have been cringing about drilling into the PhunnyPharm....now no need! I also want to use the spray on BedLiner in the wheel wells. Used it on an old pickup, and it held up fine... on metal and some bondo. When did it get warm enough to do all that work???? Cold here in Apalachicola. Chuck
  12. A 2nd thank you for the weight posting!!! Very helpful info. Your FJ is deceiving in it's tow capacity, sharp looking and powerful.
  13. Florida ain't been much warmer, just no snow!!!!! Any problem with Cracker Barrel folks on your overnite stay?? Never tried there but thought about it a few times 'cause we do like to eat there!!! Chuck n Geri
  14. Hi Ya'll, Glad to hear your lockup turned out safely ! Been there and done that in another brand of trailer. Make sure you DATE CHECK the Marathons. I agree with you on other brands' tire problems but the Kumhos are GREAT tires (if you can find them) but I don't think they currently have a 15" 8 ply available in U.S. Chuck
  15. At 25 degrees last night, it is very chilly in St Augustine, FL. Can't believe there is NO stripper pole in the 22' er. but the tanning bed sounds great. Warmer in FL or AZ ?? Have fun! Chuck n Geri
  16. Hi Sharpe, There is no connection that I know of 'tween Oliver and Burro. The rumors about the old Burro molds were a year or so ago and I've nothing since. The Burro design is probably over 20 years old and pretty basic. Regards, Chuck
  17. With our accepting the work camping in NM starting May 1st, prolly will have too much to do at home base. Hope you n Oscar make it to Lake Greeson, that is now our planned jumping off spot to NM. n
  18. We got our work camper job!!!! River Bend Hot Springs in Truth or Consequences, NM. It's not a campground but a spa that has a small campground for their work campers. With both of us loving hot spring spas and the NM/AZ area, it's perfect for us. Don't even have to trim my beard or cut hair and it's pet friendly!!!! Starts May 1st so we'll leave from Lake Greeson !!!
  19. Possibly some dominos.................. Chuck n Geri n 3 dogs
  20. Does the " PlayPen" include a stripper pole????? ???????? So solly to be basking at the beaches of St Augustine, FL I'm sure ya'll r busy out there! Try to stay w a r m and have fun! Chuck n Geri
  21. FYI, the Burro co in Escondido, CA has been closed for at least 4 years. Their website is still there but phone #s are disconnected and no answers to emails. There have been rumors that someone has bought the hull molds and selling a 'kit'. Chuck
  22. Hi Pam !! FYI, There is most probably, at this very moment, an informal fiberglass trailer rally off of Dome Rock Rd on the W side of Quartzsite. That is the group I rallied with when I lived in CA and where I saw my first Oliver! Good Luck and ya'll have a GREAT TIME!!!! but if'n youda' dun da Tampa show, we'da bin able to see the new 22"er. Instead, we'll just join a coupla' udder Oliver Trailers at Ft DeSota SP in WARM n SUNNY Florida!!!!!!hahahahahahehehehe Chuck n Geri
  23. Hi Larry!!! Should be perfect for the sun/wind screen and Bettys CocaCola lights!! Don't think that it is available in stores. See ya'll soon at Lake Greeson!!!!! Chuck
  24. WOW! Beautiful ! Another great model ! Sorry to be missing Quartszite this year but have a SAFE trip. Chuck n Geri
