  8. We're also using TST for the lube property. Getting ready to install an Extreme Vent which I had on my Casita and worked great for extracting odoriferious odors . Cut chemicals by 2/3 . Kept using coconut oil though! Chuck , Geri n critters

  12. Hi Ya'll!!!! Had a couple of storms, 1+ inch rain and heard of hail down by Las Cruces. Any more snow up your way??? Remember where that snow melt goes!!!!!! Chuck n Geri n critters soaking in the mineral spring spas.......
  13. Hi Jam!! First thing you want to do is put a piece of gutter or similiar SMOOTH piece of plastic over the rough aluminum in the hose compartment. This will protect whatever hose you are using from rubbing and getting tiny holes in it. We use 2 systems. One is the std one you are using with a 5 inch clear piece attached to the trailer with the cap on it when traveling. This extends the "hookup" further out making it easier to hook up the stinky slinky. When dumping, I then attach a 10 inch clear piece, then the slinky hose. We are using this for the long term hookup while we're here in Truth or Consequences or whenever a fast dump is needed. FYI, do not leave black water valve open while hooked up for a long time. Let the tanks get fairly full (80% +) then black first, close then grey water then close. We also use a Sewer Solution, a water driven macerator, for a more complete cleaning. Must use the 5" and 10" clear piece to extend the Sewer Solution past the bumper. Also ground off a 1/2 " semi circle to make it easier to insert various pieces. Hope this helps. 15. Hi Doug and thanks for all your great innovations! We also replaced the exterior side lights with the 6 LED 42mm bulbs. Big differance . Also got an amber 18 LED 1056 for the upper exterior light and was somewhat disappointed . BUT we switched out the little bulb in the front jack and got the biggest surprise with a 4 LED replacement . Makes any labor around hitch briter! Love our interior LEDs also. Hope to see ya'll this winter when we return to FL Chuck n Geri
  16. 15-20 miles seems to the limit for our 1500 RCA antenna, also. Chuck
  17. We got one for use at RVII last year and when used AS DESIGNED, seems safe but there are those folks that......... Will not work with GFI plug. Chuck
  18. As I remember, it was pretty quiet, espescially at the lowest level. It was in a VW fiberglass hitop camper, about an 1981, as I recollect. Chuck
  19. TurboKool Swamp Cooler is a 12volt lo amperage draw 20-30 degree cooler. Their new and revised website is turbocool and for low humidity hi temp boondocking areas this might be the answer . The company was formerly known as Recair and I had one on a VW custom camper (many, many years ago! ) and it worked well and that was on 1 12v battery with a backup. As we are considering a 22 footer; deleting the sat dish 'adding this plus 2 solar panels and 4 6v batteries could give us a great boondocking Oliver. Now if the refrigerator could raised up to the cabinet level .......... Chuck
  20. Saw a neat item at Mountainborn and Butcherknifes Catfish Rally. It's primarily for cords BUT works equally well for water hoses and a smaller one for computer lines. http://www.cordpro.com for viewing! Chuck
  21. Geri n I n the critters had a GREAT time!!! Bettys' catfish cookin' is deeeeelicious and she has set a high water mark for all future catfish that I consume! Hope that this becomes an annual event that we can contribute more too! Betty and Larry are terrific hosts ! We made it as far as Lake Texhoma before the weather got really bad. Thanks again to Larry n Betty !! Chuck n Geri (both full of catfish) n the critters
  22. Whoa! Way too cool! When I was in photography classes, we had a similar assignment, however nothing as complex as this! We didn't have photoshop either, we had to keep exposing the same frame of film over and over with the various lights and never knew until we developed the film in the darkroom whether we had a working image or not! After one stage of lighting, we had to put the lenscap over the lens to block light until we were ready for the next stage. Fun and challenging! Your friend did a great job! I just got CS3, so maybe I need to start challenging myself again! Thanks for sharing! Geri (earthdancer)
  23. Just watched your interview! Very well done and informative. Sounds like you two (and a kitty)are having a great time ! Chuck n Geri n critters

  25. Sherrys' foot isn't up to camping standards and to re injure it would put her out of commision for the whole summer. We also would love to have them join us at Lake Greeson but sadly, had to agree with her. But next year is a differant story................. Chuck n Geri n critters
