  1. Cherie, Thanks - If I am able to get a hook such as yall have I wonder if I will have to still use the stuffed bear and puppy dog as cushions on top of the monitor as I travel down the road ??? I agree that park is beautiful. I went back to it after getting set up for the night at the campgrounds after picking Revilo up and took a lot of pictures. It is so peaceful and beautiful in those Tennesse mountains. I am glad all is well for yall now as you continue on your wanderin' ways. Sure enjoy the posts so keep em coming. J
  2. Manuals, My desire for a manual is one that covers A to Z explained in simple language so that it could be referred to as one is learning about the Oliver travel trailer. When the need arose for me to manually raise the leveling jacks I was at a loss to remember exactly how to do this even though Robert told me at the factory. Chris and Cherie to the rescue! If I would have had a manual describing the different areas I wouldn't have had to bother anybody but could have figured it out myself. I will never be the technical wizard for electricity, plumbing, etc so that kind of manual wouldn't help me. Just an introductory manual and hints, suggestions, such as if the battery runs down you can manually raise the leveling jacks, and this is how you do it. I am willing to help put such a manual together for all to use who need such but I would need help posting, etc. Just a thought. j
  3. Chris and Cherie, If you are still at the factory could you show Robert the hook that anchors the swing arm for the monitor while traveling? Thanks,J
  4. The bumper storage could be modified a bit to gain and extra half inch of access. I actually trimmed the aluminum angle in a couple of places to allow storage of sewer connectors. Picture available???

    Dry run

Sherry, My grandchildren are the loves of my life. They are the biggest reason I wanted to get a small travel trailer. My grandson commented that he really liked mine so I asked him what he liked so much. His reply was he liked the soft bed, and the stereo, the refrigerator and the screen windows and having the shower and bathroom and the table to sit at to name a few reasons. I agree 100 % with your mom. I hope you have a very special mom's day. Jennifer
  6. Took Revilo with me to visit the grandkids since I didn't have time to unhook it before I left the house after returning from getting same load range tires mounted. Since the battery and power problem hadn't been fixed yet I got the bright idea to CAMP with 2 of the grandkids in the driveway - Had a small solar lantern, got a jug of fresh water from the house, grandson's guitar minus 1 string, multiplication workbook for granddaughter, and powdered donuts. We were set. Then we decided to go about 1/2 mile down the way and park at a fishing spot on the river. While there we enjoyed exploring Revilo since this was the first opportunity we had had together, opening the drawers, the windows and the screens, and everything else imaginable for the grandkids to find out about. Stayed there about 45 minutes then decided to walk along the river. Because it was getting dark, we went back to the house to get settled for the night. Out came the guitar minus one string, solar powered lantern, and multiplication facts workbook. They decided that we should put everything up and lay there talking. They slept on the double bed and I slept on blankets on the floor. Finally went to sleep when lightning and rain woke me up about 5 a.m. I quickly hurried us inside the house because the weather report the night before said possible violent weather could be associated with the storm supposedly moving in much later that came in much earlier. All went well and no violent weather but I wasn't taking any chances. I am very glad that I went for a dry run before trying the first real camping trip away from the security of walking in the front door if anything was needed. Still have more things to find out before attempting the first trip - All in good time. Thanks for letting me share this special time. I love hearing about the adventures of my neighbors that are just a little further apart! Jennifer
  7. Robert took care of the tire mismatch error right away. I received an "E" tire Friday night and I took it to Discount Tires Saturday morning to get it switched over. I am glad to have that taken care of as I slowly prepare for the big 1st time adventure with Revilo. Jennifer
  8. Heavy rains moved through the area last week. During one of the rainstorms, I slowly continued to organize inside Revilo while dreaming of the first camping excursion with the grandkids. I loved having the vent open and not have to worry about rain coming in. I do not have any window coverings so that I can open the windows during rain. What seems to be right for me is not necessarily the solution for others. I so appreciate all the discussion on all the topics. Thanks to all my neighbors that are just a little further apart. jam49
  9. Talked to Robert today about the tire mismatch. He said it should have been caught before Revilo left the factory and that it would be taken care of right away. I asked about the spare tire and he said it is to be used to get to the nearest place to fix the damaged tire not to be used as a road tire.
  10. I finally found where he saw the 80 psi. I have been searching for everything I need to know about the Oliver travel trailer starting with the tires since this is so important. I went back a third time in the dark flashlight in hand to see if I could find the 80 psi the technician said was right there. Finally found it in small letters and numbers where I found 2540 lbs at 65psi on the D tire and 2830 lbs at 80psi on the E tire. Tomorrow I will tackle taking the spare tire cover off and seeing what that tire is rated. Did warranty information come with the tires when you picked up your TT? j
  11. Herm, I went and looked at both tires. I have a D range on the right tire and an E range on the left tire. I am going to contact Robert to see if this matters. jam49
  12. Beautiful slide show. Thanks for sharing. jam49
  13. I would like to thank each of the moderators for the wonderful job that you do. I have learned so much because of the posts and the efforts of the moderators to keep everything flowing smoothly. You are very much appreciated. I have so much to learn. Now I have to figure out why Revilo is beeping and nothing turns on. Oh the joys of owning a travel trailer! You see why you are appreciated. I am in the process of researching how to stop that beeping! Here I come search - BEEEEEEEEP. jam49
  14. Thanks for providing the supporting links, Steve. In light of this, I will err on the side of caution (and perhaps give myself an extra margin of safety) and inflate to the 65psi max. pressure. Also, I should point out that my tires are made by BCT (Beijing Capital Tire), and I could not find any documentation by the mfg. that supports my previous opinion. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the discussion! As to the issue of curb-side outer-edge wear, hopefully Chris & Cherie will let us know if the increased tire pressure solves anything. Since they are a non-directional tire (at least mine are), one could extend the life by rotating side-to-side...a relatively easy task thanks to the power jacks. Herm My tires are also BCT JK42 ST225/175R15 with a load range of D. I asked the technician where he saw 80 and he said right here. All I saw was an 8 and since I am learning all kinds of new things I took him at his word. I am going to leave the tires inflated to 65psi. jam49
  15. I have learned so much from this forum and have so much more to learn! Thanks to all for sharing your wisdom. Jam49
  16. What about the monitor itself being in the heat (90 degrees or more) or during the winter for days at a time when not in use?
  17. I have a question about leaving the monitor attached to the front wind shield when it is real hot or real cold. Other than the concern about somebody wanting to take it, is it made to withstand extremes of temperatures? I have been taking it down when I am not pulling Revilo. I am concerned about how long the plastic suction cup will last if I keep taking off the window. Any thoughts? thanks, Jam49
  18. Greetings, I stopped by Camping World in New Braunfels and had them install the MAXX AIR II vent cover. Fantastic fan instructions said don't do it and I was going to return the one I got on sale but the technician at CW said that with the new vent cover's additional screened openings it wouldn't be a problem. I wanted this cover so that I can keep the roof vent opened a little bit for fresh air and to keep Revilo aired out and to not have to ever worry about the fan closing quick enough in case of an instant downpour. The fan won't open all the way but for myself I am ok with this since I will control the opening manually. I also installed this covering because I thought I would try it out without the extra expense of having the MaxxAir fan/vent put in since the other one is brand new. Time will tell whether I made the right decision for me. Thanks again for all the discussion on issues we all face as Oliver owners. Jam49
  19. Hello to all, I just returned from Camping World. Because of all the relevant discussion for all of us concerning the PSI of the tires, I asked the technician while I was there what his opinion was on tire pressure. He said the Oliver is such a light trailer that it wasn't necessary to keep it at 80 psi which is on the side of my tires. He said he would keep it inflated to 65 psi. Mine were at 50 psi. I went with the middle recommendation. He said that the tires on the Oliver were those used for heavy rigs and that 65 psi should do fine unless I carried a heavy load which I don't plan on doing at this time. (just my 2 Cents for whatever it is worth). jam49
  20. Steve and Tali, Hope you have a quick recovery. Tali you take care also. My thoughts and prayers are with yall. Jam49
  21. Another congratulations! Hope yall have many happy years ahead Oliverin'. jam49
  22. Central Texas northeast of Austin. Let me know when yall are coming this way. j
  23. Hi Tom and Karen, I'm sorry that others didn't think an online manual would be too helpful. I am back to searching each post to find the information I need to review. Oh well. Where do you go to insert hull number, tv, etc? I looked on the profile but couldn't tell where to add this. Thanks,jam49
  24. Ok everybody, I really don't want to make everybody jealous but the Oliver crew installed lights in the storage compartments. All I have to do is flip a switch. It is awesome. I can see in the dark. Seriously, if it hadn't of been for the discussion on the forum I wouldn't have known until it was too late to ask if it was possible to have lights installed. Robert said they would give it a try and perfection was achieved first time. I want to thank everybody for all the discussion because I for one was able to enquire about lights in the storage compartment as Revilo was being built. I hope good is multiplied exponentially for each of you for the help you have given me not necessarily realizing it. jam49
  25. I am so sad I can't make it this year. Maybe when I retire. I waved to yall on my way up to Tennessee to get Revilo (yep Mountainborn, Oliver spelled backwards! That name just appeared in my head as I was trying to think what could I name mine and I went for it). Guess yall were already too busy fishin taking it easy before everybody gets there and didn't notice me waving. If I hadn't of been in such a hurry to get there to finally get Revilo I would have loved to swing over that way. Have fun. I'll be thinkin of yall. jam49
