  1. mmmmmmmmmm, bet you thought we could all read your gps huh??? Gonna steal your cache ??? LOL ! Well I'm glad to know you aren't the Arkansas Chainsaw Massacre-ist, just a fun lovin' old coot who still won't show his face! ! Interesting tale about the tree though. I really looked at it and it amazed me that it evolved into such an odd shape. Now I know why. BTW, Chuck made it to CA in one piece! Seems his trailer wires got crossed and they blink good......just the wrong one blinks ! A camper in NM told him about it. He got out and checked and sure enough... the right blinker blinks for turning left and .......well you get the idea. He's gonna take it in tomorrow to get fixed. LOL Chuck said the guys at the factory did a great job, they did their best to get him out of town on time. So he's not upset with anybody at Hohenweld, in fact, he thinks it's kinda funny! Now, hand that camera to Butcherknife...... Or will we have to wait 6 weeks for Chuck to get back from CA to find the photos he took of you ???? LOL! Geri
  2. OMG! Don't think I'm heading to Arkansas anytime soon. You can be a very scary feller Mountainborn! LOL
  3. Ok, Chuck swears this photo was taken at supper, NOT breakfast... it was a supper beer. I now humbly retract all nagging! Geri
  4. Ok, now we all know what Butcherknife looks like...hey there woman!..... and we all know what Chuck looks like, but hand that danged camera over to yer woman and have her push the button so we can all see what you look like Mountainborn! It's ok...... women have been known to take pretty pictures too! LOL! I like grits with my eggs........ ya'll fix grits too ??? Geri
  5. TOO COOL !!! The Oliver teams are just soooooo willing to give their customers what they want ! Those graphics are amazing on the truck and on the Oliver travel trailer. That was a great idea Chuck......... ! All you gotta do is ask and if it's possible and affordable, Robert will make it happen! That's what I like about Oliver Travel Trailers!
  6. BEER? For breakfast? Shhhhhhheeeeesh!
  7. WOW! You guys know how to catch the big ones! What the heck you using for bait??
  8. Thanks for enlightening me. I didn't know 25% of that shorthand so it was a big help! Geri
  9. Alllll Right ! Big Fish ! Way to go Chuck! Just sorry you still don't know how good catfish are to eat! YUM! Thanks Mountainborn and Butcherknife for givin' that old man a big grin ! Geri
  10. OK, I give up.......... what's a DW ??? I would hopefully guess it means "darling wife" but I don't have a clue ! I don't have a clue about convection ovens either. Pretty old fashioned here, I have a hard time keeping up with all the new modern marvels! LOL Geri
  11. RV Bella....... another good argument for the toaster oven is that it can be used outside, thanks to the extra outside plug Oliver gives us! But then, you have to put up with the other pesky campers who smelled your brownies baking! LOL! Geri
  12. Personally, I prefer a toaster oven to a microwave any day! If I am on extended trips, I usually just bring mine along. It's big enough to make casseroles, bake a pan of corn bread or biscuits, bake a meat loaf or a chicken & I love the fact that it makes great toast and it's not big enough to heat up the whole camper. I stow it under the bed of my Casita. I have actually seriously considered replacing the microwave with the toaster oven many times. I guess I just haven't camped for extended periods often enough lately to get that done. I think a microwave is a big drain on power and seldom use it while camping. Geri
  13. An absolutely beautiful place! I think this would make a beautiful mural ! That is what camping is all about, as Sherry just said, finding the road less traveled ! Good Job! Geri
  14. Thanks Mountainborn...... that looks like a great place to camp. Video was fun too! I could almost smell that sausage cooking! Thanks for sharing. Geri
  15. Great see you backed and STOPPED! No sense doing a float test, not guaranteed by factory!!!! Thanks for posting a great looking campground!!!! Chuck Tumbleweed
  16. Hi Carolann, The Lake San Antonio Rally is May 9-11th. It is near Paso Robles, CA. The rally is listed on the fiberglass forum. Any questions, fell free to ask. Regards, Chuck Tumbleweed on Eathdancers computer, yet.
  17. Hi Eggpiper! Had a Casita 17'Sd and a 17' Liberty and saw 2 Olivers displayed at Quartzsite, AZ and I was hooked. Took me about a month to get eggzactly what I wanted with discussions with factory. $ totally differant than Casita as you can start with a base model and add option after option or go to the Elite and get one loaded with only a few options. If you go to http://www.Olivertraveltrailers.com you'll find a wealth of info and pics and leave an email fo Buffalobob and he'll get back to you pretty quick. Happy Eggin', Chuck
  18. Good idea, Steve and welcome to the forum. Woodalls Campground is on DVD and is a lot easier to use than the book(huge and heavy) saves about 3# and a lot of space. The cubby under the forward dinette seat makes a nice "library" though. Chuck, still on Geris' computer
  19. Great story behind the Sheboss handle. Have seen small parts of Natchez Trace and would like to travel it all. Chuck, still on Geris computer!
  20. Welcome to the forum! I have the lift kit but the 14" tires. Will be adding the 15" 8 ply tires n wheels and put the 14"ers on Earthdancers Casita soon. The 8 plys and aluminum wheels are overkill on the Oliver but look so cool...... Reason for lift kit, xtra shocks n soon 15s' is same as others; ground clearance. Chuck on Earthdancers computer.....
  21. I use an Aerobed Topper (full size)over the Oliver cushions and it is VERY comfortable and adjustable with a 120v airpump included. It is 2-3" high when FULLY inflated and hard and has a little curl in the back corners. I soften it up a bit and it is great. Got it new off eBay. Chuck
  22. Hi Pete!! Glad you're having a good time at BlueBonnet! Ifn' ya' run into a couple walking a cat in a stroller(I have NOT been drinking) tell 'em Chuck said Hello and will see them at Lake San Antonio. Check out Jerry the cat, he is as cool a cat as you will ever meet! Thanks for sending the tongue wgt info! Regards, Chuck
  23. This is something I found from Casita Club and it's really an interesting idea !! http://casitaclub.com/forums/index.php? ... =2&t=10289 A new front window view from the bathroom. Geri
  24. Sacsun, thank you for your kind words about my websites, I appreciate it. I'm glad you are getting a chance to look at the Oliver. You will be glad you did, because until you actually see it, and meet the people involved with the creation of an Oliver, you will begin to appreciate the quality and the devotion that goes into it from the first step of manufacturing to the day of delivery and even after care, when you leave the plant. Like the previous posts attest....... Robert took us out to the Thousand Trails park and spent at least 3 hours with us showing Chuck and I every step from hooking up electric to leveling the trailer to operating the amazing entertainment system! (wow on that surround sound effect!) These guys are devoted to making their customers happy and satisfied with their new eggs! I don't think you would get that kind of service no matter what size rig you buy or how much you pay for it. The folks at Oliver are simply above and beyond what you would expect! I am sorry for your loss of a good friend. Geri
  25. Sacsun, just remember that what you see on the Oliver in Sacramento is not what you will have to settle for. The guys at Oliver are more than willing to make whatever modifications you need to make you happy! In Chuck's Oliver, there is an outlet on the passenger side of the trailer, next to the dinette/bed area, perfect for an electric blanket to keep you warm while watching TV or your favorite DVD! But I am sure the Oliver folks will put an outlet where ever you want one! Just look at all the mods they put together for Pete !!! Pete, I'm glad your first night was such a success! Chuck and I were thinking of you and all that cold weather up there! Brrrrrr! Have a safe trip home! Geri
