  1. The fans are not weather proof as far as I know. However, I have not seen a significant amount of water entering through the frig vents while traveling in rainy weather. When washing the trailer I try to be careful with hose and not direct water upward into the vents. When installing upper fan I used 20 gauge wire to extend the leads off the ARP module to the fan. Yes, when sitting under the awning the fans can be heard occasionally. More so on very hot days. Not too annoying though. There are 2 temperature sensors. One is mounted against one of the horizontal tubes that zig zag on rear of refrigerator and the other is behind the heat shield on I guess what you would call the boiler tube. The instructions are very specific where to mount probes on the tubes. Especially the boiler tube. Have had the system for a year now with zero issues. After installation, there is nothing else that needs to be done. Comes on automatically when refrigerator is powered up.
  2. Installation was easy. Hardest part was deciding where and how to mount vent fans. Used double sided VHB tape along with a long screw for added support on the upper fan and zip tied lower fan on vent panel. Would liked to have centered lower fan left to right but space constraints dictated mounting to the left.
  3. I installed the system last year as an extra measure of safety. Added benefit are the 2 fans that come with it , one mounted in upper and lower outside vents. I opted for 2 additional interior fans that help keep internal temperature uniform. So far, so good. Fridge has operated flawlessly even in very hot weather.
  4. I want to say it cycles every 4 to 6 minutes which I think is normal. I’ll have to wait until June to really challenge the a/c. We’re going camping at Trimble Park in Mount Dora, FL. Temps probably will be in the 90’s with high humidity.
  5. I recently installed the Houghton 9.5 in my Elite and later decided to move the temperature probe located inside the a/c so that it protrudes about 3 inches into the cabin. The set temp now correlates almost exactly to actual cabin temp. Before, if I wanted the cabin temp the be maintained at 72 degrees I’d have to set the temp well below 72. Much more pleased now on how it functions.
  6. I’d like to offer another alternative to replacing the white weather seal. I just painted mine with SEM ColorCoat spray paint specially developed for flexible vinyl. I had a half full can of satin black from a previous project. Turned out beautifully but I guess time will tell how well it holds up.
  7. I just removed the PD9160AL 60 amp converter/charger from my Elite I and installed the PD9145AL 45 amp so I can use my EU1000i to top off batteries when needed. The EU1000i could not power up the 60amp version without overloading. I have the EU2200i as well but prefer lugging around the smaller generator.
  8. Thanks to everyone’s kind words. The two stacked covers are the satellite and cable tv coax connections. Below are the links to the hatch and suction cup shower head holder. I also added a stainless sliding latch to cover to prevent it from unscrewing while in transit. Probably overkill, but gives me peace of mind. http://keehui Marine 316 Stainless Steel http://OUO Suction Cup Shower Head... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y1WB59Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
  9. Thought I’d share a recent mod I completed on the outside battery/shower compartment door. We use the outside shower quite a bit and do not like the fact that the battery compartment door has to remain open in order to utilize the outside shower. So I installed a small marine grade access hatch through which I can feed the shower head through and close the door. Works beautifully!
  10. At the end of this month we will be taking our Elite I to Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountains for a 7 day stay. It will be our first trip since picking up camper in March, hull 765. We are so excited! Perhaps we will see a few other Ollies there, who knows. Any Cades Cove campground tips from others who have camped there?
  11. Very exciting and beautiful photo! We pick up our Elite I Wednesday March 25th (hull 765) and are staying at the Natchez Trace rv campground for 3 nights. Apparently Davey Crockett is full, some sort of convention is going on.
  12. Electrically both scenarios accomplish the exact same thing.
  13. The Elite 1 tray is apparently 14x14, which will accommodate 2 Battleborn batteries, it’s the height I’m worried about. Battery height is 9” and height from tray to ceiling of compartment is a little over 9”, so looks like they will fit (?).
  14. Can any newer Elite 1 owners confirm that 2 Battleborn batteries will fit without modifications to battery compartment tray?
  15. Just ordered two! Great deal.
  16. Anyone have experience with the Redport wifi range extender? All reviews/videos seem to be positive. Thanks.
  17. Can’t comment on its tow characteristics as we don’t have our Elite 1 yet, but we will be using our 2018 GMC Canyon. The tow ratings fall well within the Elite 1 weight. Hope it won’t feel too strained towing the trailer.
  18. Awesome photo. That’s the kind of scenery we’re looking forward to. Any one have pics from the North West? Our son attends UW in Seattle. We’re already mapping out our trip from North West Florida to Seattle. Should be epic.
  19. Perfect, except I want one that shows every day as “Saturday “.
  20. Any chance you could post pictures? Rain, sleet or snow, doesn’t matter for those of us waiting for delivery day. Lol. Would just like to see what might be in our future. Can’t wait. March 25th for us.
  21. Thanks for the review! Just ordered one. Will need it for a complete solar install once we get our Elite 1 home from Hohenwald in March.
  22. I would love to convert unused black water tank to an additional 18 gallons of fresh water. Makes so much sense for those with the Natures Head composting toilet. We don’t have our trailer yet, March 25 delivery, but very interested in making this modification.
  23. From what Anita told me, the mattress is latex and comes in two pieces so access to the hatches will be easier. However, you can’t convert bed into dinette, has to be in bed mode full time which is what we want. We were able to try one out on our tour, very comfortable.
  24. Option we settled on are: Standard FP mattress along with Hypervent matting, Midnight Decor package, Ultrafabric upgrade, Powered awning, Black cabinet doors, no microwave (storage box instead) standard water heater, outdoor pro package and the Natures Head toilet. I will be installing the solar power system using Victron components with Renogy panels, micro-air easy start, plus a few other goodies.
  25. I’m with you guy, we will be picking up an LE1 March 25. Did the factory tour about 2weeks ago with Anita and camped at Fall Creek Falls, TN in our Tab 320. About a 3 hour drive to Hoenwald but worth it.
