  1. Perhaps this has already been answered; however, I will add two photos of our EU2200i Honda showing the 6' cord that just arrived and the grounding plug from Amazon. There is plenty of room for both. Our LEII will be ready May 17, 2021 and we have been getting ready little by little; bought the Honda genset months ago and converted to propane.
  2. Thank you so much for this information! I am planning to purchase a torque wrench & breaker bar, but did not know the socket came with the trailer. That’s great.
  3. I was hoping someone would answer this; I have the same question!
  4. Would this Micro Air Smart Thermostat allow us to operate the thermostat from the TV?
  5. I had this question myself. Before we signed the final contract, that was one of the things we asked Anita, our rep. The shower track INCLUDES a custom shower curtain.
  6. Congratulations and yippeo-kiyay! I remember that feeling back in early September. Just today we put our signatures on the final-final contract and emailed a .pdf off to our sales rep Anita down in Hohenwald. Next week we send our $½ down by check, and on March 24 "R-Villa" goes into production with a delivery date of May 17, 2021. The time has flown, what with COVID-19 and spending oodles on Amazon stocking up on stuff for the Ollie. You won't believe how much you will learn from this Forum! Don't buy anything until you've spent a month reading all the posts and searching through all the suggestions. There is a WEALTH of knowledge here! Enjoy!
  7. Our 2021 GMC 2500 Turbo-Diesel is on order and will have the concealed steps; glad to hear someone else thinks those are a good idea. I drove a 2020 diesel and could not believe how quiet and was surprised how well it rode compared to our 2017 Sierra 1500. Right this minute I am looking at receiver hitches. I was going to purchase an Andersen (non WD) when I saw the "Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount w/Built-In Scale" online at eTrailer. Now I am SERIOUSLY considering that one. I own an Aluma brand flatbed trailer which I use to haul my Polaris General, and the built-in hitch scale would be real handy for easy load distribution. I just need to determine how much drop (4", 6", 8" or 10" are available) that I will need for "R-Villa" (our new Ollie) when it comes. Any advice?
  8. I am a month late to this conversation; however, it did not really pertain to my situation until yesterday when we placed the order for a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali to replace our 2017 Sierra 1500. The new one has all the goodies including the "Rear Trailer View," which "uses an available customer-installed GM auxiliary accessary camera mounted on the rear of the compatible trailer to show vehicles or objects behind the trailer." I really like the idea of not having any extra screens on the dash. The new truck also has an integral TMS, so we got that covered, too. The only real concern I have is whether my decision to NOT include the Oliver-provided rear-view camera on my build is the right decision or not. I spoke with Anita in sales today to ask whether the camera could be added and installed in the future if I left it off the initial build, and she indicated that it could indeed be added. Do you agree that leaving off the Oliver camera is a good idea? I do not see the need for a roof penetration for no reason, if it can be added later. February 12, 2021, is our drop-dead date to make the decision, as our production date is March 24. I would appreciate advice as you see fit. Thank you! PS: We have a name for our Ollie; "R-Villa" Lookout for "R-Villa" on May 17 behind a 6.6L Turbo-Diesel silver Jimmy!
  9. I just finished reading all these posts. All I have to say in response is that I am so very, very happy we made our $2,500 down payment back in September! Our LE II is scheduled for delivery on May 17. So thankful I found Oliver TTs before pulling the trigger on the Airstream with which I was temporarily & insanely enamored. I would have been devastated to discover Oliver AFTER buying an Airstream!
  10. When I was in Hohenwald after my tour, I was by myself in their LE II on the sales lot. I had the same problem; I could NOT get that TV down! Later I was informed to push UP on the back of the TV to release it. Glad to know I’m not alone...
  11. I am a Honda fan. After reading all the Forum posts I bought the 2200 (not the Companion, an adaptor is fine) and converted it to LP with a Hutch Mountain conversion kit. Easy peasy. Now it will run on gasoline, or I can connect to the LP quick connects on our new Ollie when we get it on May 17! The YouTube installation directions made the conversion so very simple to install. After re-gapping the spark plug, it started right up on LP. Yes, a Honda is more expensive, but so is an Oliver. I don't plan to purchase another generator in my lifetime. It is very lightweight and perhaps the quietest on the market.
  12. Best wishes in making your decision. Nice photo of Oliver's new sign!
  13. I just posted my video to YouTube. If you search "Oliver Travel Trailers Factory Tour, Sept. 29, 2020," you will find it in my channel named "Kelley Custom Leather."
  14. Thanks for the kudos on the video! Boy, do I have a lot to learn about this forum! I will take your suggestions to heart and attempt to upload this to YouTube or something. I was not paying attention today as I was busy in my leather studio. Perhaps will get to this in a day or so.
  15. I have been sitting back mostly watching the posts, getting to know "what's what" with the Forum and attempting to decipher how this works. I found it is not really hard to upload photos; however, once they are on the Forum, I cannot figure out how to keep from doubling up sending them out to the end users. Oh, well, I suppose I will learn by doing. So, here is a little bit about us: My wife and I are eager for May 17, 2021, which is our delivery day for our OTT LEII Twin Bed model. I drove to Hohenwald in our bought-it-new, 67,000-mile 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 (yes, we are going to "try" it as our TV before we decide to upgrade to something "more substantial") and toured the factory with Anita while my wife stayed home social distancing. We live in Central Illinois and had never seen nor heard of an Oliver until I was ready to pull the trigger on an Airstream. However, with the hailstorms we have here and the potential devastation golf ball-sized stones often deliver, I hesitated...then heard about Oliver on an Airstream Facebook page. The rest is history. We support the theory that it makes more aesthetic and financial sense to buy superior quality items ONCE and then take excellent care of them, rather than purchasing low-cost, inferior goods with the expectation of replacing them often. We have pretty much lived our lives in that manner. Oliver Travel Trailers seemed to match that ideal premise, and after my factory tour, I was solidly convinced. We are STOKED! It seems there is a short list of recommended necessities to bring to Hohenwald on delivery day, and that other items can be purchased after we "hit the road." Well, we may be exceeding that advice... Let's just say...we will be adequately prepared for serious boondocking on May 17! HERE IS THE OLIVER FACTORY TOUR WITH ANITA JOHNSTON...Enjoy! IMG_0760.mov
  16. IMG_0751.mov IMG_0771.movIMG_0771.movIMG_0768.movIMG_0762.mov IMG_0771.movIMG_0771.movIMG_0759.movIMG_0759.movIMG_0759.movIMG_0763.mov IMG_0751.mov I was in Hohenwald on Sept. 29, 2020 for a factory tour and to meet with Anita to order our Legacy II which goes into production on March 24, 2020. Here are some photos and videos from that day. I have fewer pics of the Grey Jay interior because we are going with the brown tone one. Please pardon my narration as I planned to show this only to my wife, who understands my nonsense! IMG_0762.mov IMG_0768.mov IMG_0771.mov IMG_0751.mov IMG_0759.mov
  17. I now see that one of the great benefits of Oliver ownership is the vast knowledge base available on this owners' forum that one can tap! How amazing how our question could generate such a broad discussion. Boy, what an education! Seriously. Thank you all!
  18. That's great to know. We plan to have that option along with the complete solar package. Thank you!
  19. Thanks everyone! You all are so prompt! Good to know about the excess weight. We have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD Crew Cab Short Bed, 5.3L, 6 spd, 3.92, 7,200 GVW. We bought it new; now has 65,000 miles. We will start out with this vehicle, see how it goes, and change to more power if required. Will the Honda 2200 run the AC? Really appreciate your help! Just getting the feel for this site...
  20. Hello Everyone! This is my (our) first post. We just sent our initial $2,500 wait list deposit on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020. We are both really excited about this! Somehow we need to settle down, however, as we don't pick up our Legacy II for 43 weeks, 3 days, 2 hours, etc... Now to get to the real purpose of this post; can anyone please tell me what are the specific dimensions of the optional storage basket? I have looked everywhere online and have had no success finding those specs. Perhaps I am mistaken, but it seems to me that a Honda EU3000is might be the perfect generator for the Legacy II. It is super quiet, runs all night on one tank of gas, has electric start, and I have previous experience with Honda. They are really hard to beat, other than the $2,199 price. Yes, there is plenty of time; however, our local dealer has one in stock right now! I simply don't want to buy one if it won't fit the basket! Having said all this, our delivery date in Hohenwald isn't until May 17, 2021! Thank you all so much!
