  1. Topgun asked if I had the booster on in the attic. Yes, I did. That is what I meant when I said the red light was lit.
  2. TexasGuy, Don't feel like the Lone Ranger with your solar problem. I believe I am having the exact same problem as you. I came out to the trailer this morning and my batteries were dead. I had turned off the master switch last night; what gives? Could it be a bad batch of controllers?
  3. Thank you, Steve, for offering to talk to Ollie about the reset. Future owners will appreciate that! Not to belabor my television issue; however, I still cannot get the roof antenna to grab on-air digital channels. Granted, the Ollie is backed into our driveway rather close to the garage. But I connected my own digital antenna to the set and was able to get 27 on-air digital channels immediately! I had the red light on for the Ollie antenna when I tried about six times unsuccessfully to connect channels previously. Just can't figure it out, unless there is a bad connection with the roof antenna or it is faulty.
  4. Foy applies at least four coats of finish to the table tops; he mentioned that in an email to me. I am not sure if it is oil based or one of the Spar-type finishes. It seems quite durable. The look is absolutely stellar, similar to the finish on a Holland & Holland shotgun. No kidding; this is primo-quality woodwork! I knew it was going to be nice, but we were simply floored as we entered our Ollie and saw the wood. Since my side hustle is leathercraft, for daily use and so we do not have to be so careful, I made two leather placemats to protect the dinette top.
  5. Thank you so much Steve. I have been playing with the electronics off & on much of the day, pretending I could solve the connectivity myself. Finally I dug into Vizio's website and found the factory reset info after which it connected effortlessly. The set is currently downloading updates. I just checked the Forum and found your answer; I really appreciate your effort and wish I'd looked a bit earlier! It is difficult to swallow that you and I are terminally unique with this issue. Wouldn't it be nice if a Vizio reset was suggested when everyone picked these $80k trailers up! A "Quick-Start Brochure" for the entire Ollie would be a real help; just containing basic, important info that we need right off the bat. Summary stuff...
  6. Thank you! We picked Metallic Silver to match our new truck. We were immediately pleased when we saw it. That color is among the ones to be discontinued for the 2022 models, I believe.
  7. When we were on the road I tried to connect our Vizio TV to the Internet via our Verizon jet pack. No luck. Now R-Villa’s parked at home on the drive with a solid Wi-Fi signal from our home. I still cannot get the Vizio to connect. Yes, I triple checked the password. Even tried going through the Vizio app on my iPhone 11…still nada. This process is NOT new to me, having purchased other smart TVs; it’s frustrating this time. No expert, but I have a fairly extensive computer-user past. Following instructions in the manual to no avail. Any of you EE’s or techies have any insight?
  8. Sorry about the pics; I am still trying to navigate the OTT forum peculiarities. I thought I was uploading them, but it was only links. Because of OTT’s fence, I could not get far enough away to get the entire rig in the photo without shooting in panorama mode. Thus, the “fisheye” look. Thanks, John, for uploading them! We just arrived home, and I must say R-Villa pulled beautifully…just plain amazing. Also, if you look at the pic showing our spare tire cover, you will see a small black camera attached to the top. I sent this camera in advance to Jason. It is a GMC rear-view trailer camera for my new 2021 Denali HD. He said it was the first one his crew has installed. It works flawlessly! I highly recommend.
  9. Thanks to all the staff at Oliver for a great delivery! We are traveling home after one night at the old sales office in Hohenwald, two nights at David Crockett SP, and now tonight we are at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in KY. Many thanks, also, to Foy Sperring for our fabulous countertops, drawer dividers, and shower mat. Such luxury! We regret a bit that our ARE Truck Cap did not arrive from the manufacturer in time for the trip. I was told there is a fiberglass shortage. Perhaps due to COVID? Who knows. Thankfully, our dealer loaned us a brand-new tonneau cover for the journey. Whew! Boy, do these trailers pull smoooooothly! 4BD73794-9B5F-4B4F-AEFB-38CAB39A23CF.heic 1F3E5195-5718-4602-AB81-E11CAE949EE2.heic
  10. I switched my vehicles' cabin filters to K&N Washable Cabin Filters. Also purchased their spray kit for cleaning. These filters are great! Really help filter the allergens, too. They last a long time.
  11. This was good news; we received our Vornado heater from Amazon yesterday!
  12. Our delivery day is Monday, May 17, 2021, and “R-Villa” will be Hull 803. We are eager to see how the “Trailer View” camera system works out with the Oliver and our new GMC 2500 HD.
  13. Certainly, you want them immediately; however, I know you can obtain them at: http://www.hutchmountain.com They sell LP conversion kits for Honda generators. I purchased one and all the necessary hoses and fittings. They are WONDERFUL people!
  14. Thanks everyone! We ordered a 9 x 12 Camco from Amazon. Next purchase is a water purification system; decided on the Clear Source Ultra. Gotta have good water. R-Villa starts down the production line tomorrow! And we are waiting for a new GMC ¾-ton, too! Hard to believe it is finally happening.
  15. Thanks! Good to know the 6' x 9' is too small.
  16. Thank you! I appreciate knowing the size.
  17. What size camping mat do you veterans recommend for our LE II that goes into production on Wednesday?
  18. Does anyone have experience with ceramic coatings such as Simonize GlassCoat on their Oliver? I have used this on my autos & trucks for many years with very much success. It is pricey up front; however, it eliminates waxing for many years.
  19. Wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing! We are eager to try Harvest Hosts when our Ollie arrives.
  20. ThomB87: So glad to hear you like this hitch! Regarding a locking pin; I bought the Andersen. It seems far superior in strength to anything else I found and has a key that is extremely hard to pick according to YouTube's "Lock Picking Lawyer!"
  21. I agree and thought the same thing. When I researched it through etrailer, I found that the scale portion of the hitch can be replaced for $86 in the event it fails. I may even just buy one as a spare.
  22. I have been considering the purchase of this hitch with a built-in scale. I have another trailer, and it would be real handy for load balancing my other “toys.”
  23. Since I do not believe you can open my prior image, here is another:
  24. Parkworld 691968C Shore Power Adapter Cord Household 15A Male 5-15P to L5-30R RV:Camper:Marine 30A F.webarchive This is the cord we bought on Amazon. It was recommended on this forum! Since we do not yet have our Oliver ("R-Villa") which is to be picked up on May 17, I cannot confirm is the same size. However, since this was recommended here, and looks the same as my previous trailer's 30 amp connection, I am confident it will work. I bought the Honda here in Morton, IL, months ago when they were on the shelf at our local construction supply company. That company always gives stellar service; important to me at the time. Then I installed the Hutch Mountain LP conversion myself, which negated the Honda warranty! So much for their stellar service! Oh, well, they are nice guys, and prefer to purchase locally as much as possible. And yes, it does have the flap cover, which I was holding up with the screwdriver in the previous photo.
