  1. Yes. We reversed the shade at our dinette. Just pop off, turn it over and pop it back on. Mike
  2. I’m not sure we could full time in our Oliver. We’re good for a couple of months, but get cabin fever if the weather gets bad. If I was full timing I’d look at an Arctic Fox or Outdoor RV. They seem to be of better quality than most stick and staple trailers and can be big enough to spread out a little. Intech is also an interesting manufacturer with different building techniques. Mike
  3. Speek fer yerself. 🤓
  4. On my 17” I store the grease catch under the griddle when traveling.
  5. Bottom line… it’s very complicated, bordering on magic.
  6. Agree, you need to cover it when not in use to keep it clean.
  7. We camped with Robert and Bonny at Quartszite in 2017, along with @ScubaRx the Landrums.
  8. Yes, disconnect from power and let it sit for at least a day or so. We don’t use ours much either, but it is handy when we’re off of shore power and need it! The Xantrex service guy was very helpful. I’d do the disconnect and see how it goes. Mike
  9. I had a few issues with our first inverter, called Xantrex and they asked about our batteries. They had me do a reset and it then worked fine for a couple of years. I eventually replaced it after about 5 years. The second one has worked fine. We can run the MW or brew coffee with no issues. Mike
  10. Next trip is planned, Colorado and Utah, leaving in two weeks! Adios Texas heat!!
  11. If my leak returns this will be my final solution!
  12. Welcome to the group! Lot’s of folks here who like to answer questions, so ask away. You should run over to Hohenwald and get a factory tour and meet all the great Oliver folks. The showroom is worth spending time in to check out the floor models. Mike
  13. To close this out… I cleaned out all the old caulk and wiped it down with mineral spirits. I used 3M Marine 4000 and layed a bead all around the Oliver light. The next morning I simulated a good rain storm on the back of the trailer. No leaks. Hopefully this will last. When I was cleaning out the old caulk I was surprised that there wasn’t much to clean. Mike
  14. What batteries do you have? Are they fully charged?
  15. this thread reopened
  16. John, sounds like you were surrounded by THE experts! It wasn’t difficult, just took it slow and pushed it in with steady pressure. Good luck! Hope the Maine rally went well, I think we’ll try to make it back up to Maine for a future rally, beautiful state. Mike
  17. John, yes that’s it. I loosen the set screw and then pull the cable all the way out with the handle. I used WD40 to clean it and then added a light coat of grease, don’t remember exactly what grease, probably white lithium that I had on hand. I’ve done this twice since 2016 and it keeps things working smoothly. It’s probably time to do it again before we head to Colorado/Utah next month. The first time I did it Steve Landrum talked me through it after I was complaining that the cable was hard to pull. The gray tank cable is shorter, but the technique is the same! Mike
  18. The black tank valve gate is under the dinette seat closest to the bath. I’ve replaced mine. You should be able to lift the gate from the top to open it. Check to ensure the cable is still firmly attached. I can’t imagine a blockage big enough to stop all flow. It’s also a good idea to remove the cable from the trailer to clean and lube it. It’s held in place by one set screw on top of the valve. Just loosen and pull it out at the basement location. After you get it clean and lubed just insert it back in and push it up to the valve under the dinette. Mike
  19. Looks like a great trip! We know many of those AZ and CO camping spots. Great pictures too. Mike
  20. Also, check to make sure the drain pipe from the bathroom sink and shower is firmly seated into the top of the gray tank. Ours was not glued, just wedged in and it popped out once after a bumpy ride. Mike
  21. Bryan, have a great trip! Look forward to some pictures of your adventures. Be safe - Mike
  22. Yeah, but you can get one with a wood burning stove!
  23. We use ours all the time for our fire pit, Blackstone griddle and Weber Q1000 (regulator removed). No mods necessary for the Blackstone or fire pit.
  24. There are lots of YouTube videos on how to remove the regulator on the Weber Q series regulator so that it works on the quick connects. I bet there are also videos on how to do the same with the Coleman.
  25. In my experience I think every two years would work. I try to do it every year, but I have missed that goal a couple of times with no adverse results. If you saw something you didn’t like you could always increase your frequency. To do all the windows doesn’t take a lot of time. Mike
