  1. Bill, thanks, that's good to know. I would have tried a 32gb card like we have in our car. Furrion needs to do some updating!
  2. I don't know what he was asking. His post on FGRV just said he sold it in one day for his asking price.
  3. I watched his video more than a few times too. Based on what he needs for his work, selling is understandable. The good news is he sold it in a day for his asking price! Mike
  4. In addition to a trip to the factory, we've had the opportunity to see a half dozen Oliver's here in San Antonio. Last weekend we had dinner with 4 owners (Marks/Landrum/Slusher/Muckle) and then went to their campsite the next day to see Hull numbers 50/81/82. We've also spent time in Hull 14 with Pete and Oscar since he is a neighbor. Their enthusiasm made us even more anxious for delivery. There's nothing better than owners talking about lessons learned and what they've done to their trailer! Mike
  5. Daniel, welcome. This is a great place to learn about the Oliver. We've learned a bunch since we started this journey. The folks in Hohenwald are a pleasure to work with as well. Mike
  6. Another great looking Oliver! Thanks for the pics - enjoy!
  7. Pete, Sherry, sage advice from the old timers! Rock Tamers are on my list. Pete, not sure where I got Hull #18..... Enjoy your camping New Year's Eve and I hope the Ham came out as expected! Happy New Year - Mike
  8. Is gravel protection/chipping an issue? We were visiting with Pete this week and the Wonder Egg (hull #18) looks shiny and new. I didn't see any significant chipping. Wouldn't normal truck mud flaps do the trick? If it is an issue, has anyone tried the clear bra film they use on cars? I had a clear bra on my last car and it did a pretty good job of protecting the paint. Mike
  9. Linda, that's a great number! Looking forward to pics.
  10. .....you're not buying a trailer - you're joining a family? Sounds good to me! Merry Christmas everyone!
  11. It's looking real good - love the "in-progress" photos!
  12. Linda, please post a picture of that after you pick it up. Will be interested in how it looks above the window. Mike
  13. Thanks for checking, now we know! Sounds like an unlisted option....
  14. The spare tire cover would be a good place. Factory help would result in a more standard look, seems like the cost would not be very much. Mike
  15. Just reading through some old posts while eating my lunch.... I noticed on FB a couple of trailers had their hull numbers above the rear window, sort of like the Airstream folks do. I also like the license plate idea. Has anyone done anything different?
  16. Ya'll come! Mike
  17. The smoked turkey came out great! We had two 11lb turkeys. We dry brined both Tuesday evening and put them in the fridge until Thursday morning. I have a Primo ceramic smoker/grill. Got the temp right at 300, threw on some apple wood and hickory and put the turkey on. Carol did the other in a bag in the oven. Both were good, but the smoked turkey was definitely the winner. We just did a batch of turkey chili with some of the leftovers. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!
  18. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I just put the turkey on the smoker......
  19. Thank you Linda for asking the question and thanks to all for the good information. Taking notes!
  20. Wow, great pictures! Another trip idea for the planning list..... !!
  21. I think it was Ron Merritt. Check his blog... http://wincrasher.blogspot.com/2015/03/ ... liver.html
  22. Great story and pictures! Thanks for sharing, will be a future trip. Mike
  23. Sometimes no answer is a good answer. 77 views and no thoughts on Hopkins brake controllers tell me that the Prodigy controllers are what most folks are using! Haven't read anything bad about the P2 or P3 so that's what I will look at.
  24. Another nice looking rig. Have fun!
  25. Great looking trailer - let the fun begin!
