I picked up the finished product this afternoon. A local print shop here in Boerne printed two 24" and ten 3.5". Due to the width of material that the printer uses it made sense to print enough to fill the space. I'm going to put a 24" lone star circle graphic on the front when we pick up. Not sure what I will do in the back....

New O Elite pick up in April or May
Mike and Carol replied to Dave and Cindy's topic in Introduce Yourself
Congratulations and welcome! We will be there May 10, might cross paths.... Mike -
We've seen several Oliver's with custom graphics. After discussing it with Anita, she said they would deliver our trailer with no Oliver Graphic on the front or the back. We are still doing the side stripes. I found a local graphics designer and gave her our ideas and after a couple of iterations, she came up with our graphic. I shrunk it down and am now using it as our avatar. Our stripes will be the same colors (dark red/dark silver). Anita is also having "Oliver Legacy Elite II" on the side replaced with "The Lone Star Oliver" (it's a Texas thing). A local print shop is doing a 24" version of our Lone Star Graphic that will go on the front of the trailer in place of the winding road/mountains Oliver graphic. Haven't decided how to handle the back yet. She sent the our first set of build pictures this week! Mike

Towing a Legacy II with Nissan Frontier
Mike and Carol replied to dwbark's topic in Towing an Oliver
Dave, I'm planning on towing with a Tacoma. There are a couple of owners out there doing it now, maybe they can offer some thoughts. I will post my towing experience after we pick in May and go on a 2 week trek back home. Mike -
Charlie, interesting set of products. We don't have our Oliver yet but will bookmark your site for possible future use!

Looks great! Enjoy!!

Elite II Delivery Date of May 23
Mike and Carol replied to olderthandirt's topic in Introduce Yourself
Congratulations and welcome to the group! We pick up in May too. Mike -
We were also looking at the FC 23FB and also learned about Oliver on the Air Stream forums. Air Streams are good for the Oliver business!

We spent a lot of time looking at traditional trailers. We just couldn't get past the quality issues. We jumped to Airstream, a nice trailer with a certain "image". While we liked the Airstream, they also come with a set of build and quality issues. After looking at available fiberglass trailers it was clear that the Oliver was at the top of the class. A visit to the factory sealed it for us. We have visited with and toured the trailers of 5 different Oliver owners and the bottom line does seem to be "just buy it"!

Bill, thanks, that's good to know. I would have tried a 32gb card like we have in our car. Furrion needs to do some updating!
-
I don't know what he was asking. His post on FGRV just said he sold it in one day for his asking price.
-
I watched his video more than a few times too. Based on what he needs for his work, selling is understandable. The good news is he sold it in a day for his asking price! Mike

In addition to a trip to the factory, we've had the opportunity to see a half dozen Oliver's here in San Antonio. Last weekend we had dinner with 4 owners (Marks/Landrum/Slusher/Muckle) and then went to their campsite the next day to see Hull numbers 50/81/82. We've also spent time in Hull 14 with Pete and Oscar since he is a neighbor. Their enthusiasm made us even more anxious for delivery. There's nothing better than owners talking about lessons learned and what they've done to their trailer! Mike

Daniel, welcome. This is a great place to learn about the Oliver. We've learned a bunch since we started this journey. The folks in Hohenwald are a pleasure to work with as well. Mike

Another great looking Oliver! Thanks for the pics - enjoy!

Pete, Sherry, sage advice from the old timers! Rock Tamers are on my list. Pete, not sure where I got Hull #18..... Enjoy your camping New Year's Eve and I hope the Ham came out as expected! Happy New Year - Mike -
New forum section "Factory options and mods" ?
Mike and Carol replied to John E Davies's topic in General Discussion
Is gravel protection/chipping an issue? We were visiting with Pete this week and the Wonder Egg (hull #18) looks shiny and new. I didn't see any significant chipping. Wouldn't normal truck mud flaps do the trick? If it is an issue, has anyone tried the clear bra film they use on cars? I had a clear bra on my last car and it did a pretty good job of protecting the paint. Mike -
Linda, that's a great number! Looking forward to pics.

.....you're not buying a trailer - you're joining a family? Sounds good to me! Merry Christmas everyone!
-
It's looking real good - love the "in-progress" photos!
-
Linda, please post a picture of that after you pick it up. Will be interested in how it looks above the window. Mike
-
Thanks for checking, now we know! Sounds like an unlisted option....

The spare tire cover would be a good place. Factory help would result in a more standard look, seems like the cost would not be very much. Mike

Just reading through some old posts while eating my lunch.... I noticed on FB a couple of trailers had their hull numbers above the rear window, sort of like the Airstream folks do. I also like the license plate idea. Has anyone done anything different?

Ya'll come! Mike
