“14 years later…” 😳 Mountainborn and Technomadia no longer have their Olies, although Bugeyedriver Pete still does! We have also boondocked at 9,000+ feet in State Forest State Park, CO. Dometic fridge, Suburban furnace, hot water tank and cook top all worked fine on propane. Weber Q and Outland firepit also did fine. Mike

We ordered a box and two pouches that we’ve been using for some time. Car thefts are up around here, they get close to the house, do a scan for the key inside the house then drive your vehicle away. Our car and truck are in a locked garage, but the faraday box is extra insurance. We use the pouches when traveling. Mike

Service sent me a couple of drawer slides when I had one break several years ago. Easy to replace. The strap method for each bank of drawers solved our drawer-opening-while-driving issue. Mike

Wincrasher’s video was what turned us to Oliver as well. There wasn’t much out there when we started looking (2015). Looks like he had an influence on a lot of us early owners. Mike

Not sure if there will be anybody left, but we’re planning on a Q visit for a few days at the end of next week on our way to Lake Havasu.

The second one pulled by a dark pickup was us. We’re at Catalina State Park, Tucson for now. We noticed you on the eastbound side.

My 2016 manual doesn’t have a diagram either. There was no diagram anywhere in the trailer. I’ve just had to figure it out over the years.

Thanks for this post! Our Oliver is our first travel trailer as well. Your experience is good info for folks like us that occasionally look at the bigger trailers and think something about them might be nice. We’ll be sticking with what we’ve got! Mike

When I had the Coopers installed a few years ago, at the same DT, they filled to my specifications. Probably an individual issue.

We’re leaving today. Spending some time at Catalina and Lost Dutchman then will swing by Q for a few days before going to Lake Havasu.

Discount Tire put 75psi in the new tire, because that’s what their policy is. I just winked at the guy and corrected it when I got home.

In 2018 or 2019 there was a group of us camping at Quartzsite. The Olivers drove down from Lake Havasu to join us with Jim’s personal Elite II. One evening we all decided to go out for dinner as a group. When “check” time came the waitress said it was all taken care of. There were at least 20 of us there, the Olivers are generous and kind. I run an electric space heater in the trailer when we get freezing temps. We had several days in the teens this week and the heater worked fine. I open everything up so air can circulate between the hulls. I also frequently use a small electric cube heater in the back curbside corner. This has worked for years. I have occasionally traveled with the furnace on with no issues. We always run the fridge on propane when traveling, so the propane is on. Mike

I’ve never had any odd temperature readings on any of the four tires on my TST TPMS. I’ll be checking wheel temperature now too….

The RV tech mentioned defective tire too. I do have a temp monitor, just haven’t used it much. I will next week as we tackle I-10 West.

We lived in Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca for many years. Love that part of Arizona! Mike

OK, so I’ve been around town trying to get a definitive issue to blame this on, the weather presented some challenges since most folks around here aren’t used to temps in the teens. I got the tires off the ground, checked freeplay, spinning, looked at shock, etc. Checked with a level. Took to to an RV tech, he said shock is worn but still functional, recommended replacing soon. Bearings were okay. He thought tire balance may be an issue, also recommended a higher TP since these are LT tires and not trailer tires. I have them set at 50psi, so I will up that on this next trip. The Discount Tire guys said it could have been a missing weight causing a balance issue and they also recommended raising TP to at least 60psi. They did find a nail in the tire, right in the middle between treads that wasn’t very visible until the wheel was removed. So the bad tire is gone. We’re going to Arizona Monday. When we return I’m going to replace all the shocks and bearings. After 100K miles I think it would be prudent, probably should have done it earlier. I’ll be watching that tire, I do have a IR heat sensor which I haven’t used much, but will as we travel next week. Mike
