  1. I don’t know but I told them I tow with a RAM 2500 so I’m in the same boat and they suggested the site I have. Like I said, right now they are telling me I can’t cancel nor change my reservation so while I won’t be there I’m not sure how we could get you the site assuming they are still good with a 3/4 ton tow vehicle
  2. I do the same with the exact same tester. Once I know the plug is wired correctly I plug in and trust the onboard surge protector made by the same company.
  3. Not sure but I do know there will be one site empty the whole time as we now can’t use our reservation and they are unfortunately non refundable nor changeable they tell me. Would love to see another Ollie owner be able to be there but the City has been very firm on no changes with me anyways.
  4. Congrats on the sale. You’ve been HUGE resource here and I’m glad you will continue to look at the messages. See you at the Eclipse - believe we are just 2 spots down from you there.
  5. Hull 1337 for Mike and Marianne Hermann. We now have a family wedding to attend that weekend but plan to park Ollie in our spot and fly out then back to San Antonio to make the Eclipse.
  6. We got the same deal on the C44 at the Truma booth at Overland Expo West this past weekend. Just a bit bigger than the C36 but still fits under the truck cover.
  7. We and our 2023 LE2 will be at the Flagstaff OE this year. The Ollie will be in the Air Force Campground right next door to the expo starting Sunday. Staying with my Brother in law in Flag before that with the Ollie there.
  8. If I had a NT near me and could get the military discount I’d prolly do what you did. The power specs at that weight are unbeatable but they certainly make you pay for that dearly. Maybe someone at the Rally could test if a 2200 can start the new Trumas.
  9. Aspen - getting introduced to our new Ollie. She is a rescue and still very high strung but with time we hope can calm down and not go on alert at every sound she hears outside the Trailer.
  10. I know the manual says this but I wonder if anyone has tried it yet? I don’t have a generator but I do have a very good Fluke amp meter which can show peak inrush current when starting and have run the AC successfully of a 15 amp circuit protected with a 15amp breaker with zero issues. Starting current is well within that of other “big” motor loads I can find around my house such as my pressure washer and my worm drive skil saw. My guess is one of the gensets rated for 2200 to 2500 starting watts could run it. Once Running, the new Truma AC draws under 7 amps on high. I’d love to test it but don’t know anyone with a genset here
  11. For those who are curious, I called Oliver and sent them pics of the fiberglass damage. Their suggestion (short of bringing it back to them in Hohenwald) is to use a reputable marine fiberglass shop. Their experience is that RV repair shops don't do nearly as good or work on fiberglass as a shop working with it all day every day. As for color they suggest that they can color match it at the shop and didn't give me a color code or number. So hopefully Tuesday after the Holiday the local fiberglass shop will get back to me and I can see if they agree with what Oliver told me as to color matching.
  12. Being in AZ, getting it back to Oliver is not really an option for us. Will call them and see what they suggest. We knew the one downside of getting the Ollie is no easy repairs from Oliver for us. I’m pretty inclined to do most mechanical things but I’ve never messed with Fiberglass. We have a highly regarded small local fiberglass repair shop. I’d go there over the RV repair companies here local anyways.
  13. Didn’t hear it or even see it. Didn’t come from our truck as the mud flaps would protect that trajectory. Guessing one of the hundreds of semis that zoomed past us in a 30 mph headwind on I-20 WB in TX. Also got big windshield star right in front of the sensor array near rear view mirror same day. Heard that one. Will be calling Oliver on Monday about suggestions on this plus a power plug which already has the ground lug falling out (flops around)
  14. First chip is a big one for us somewhere in TX. Will call Oliver Monday to see what they suggest for repair.
  15. Just got back to AZ from picking up Hull# 1337 and drove it almost 2000 miles exploring TN a bit then across Arkansas (I-40 & I-30), Texas (I-30, I-20, I-10), New Mexico, then Arizona (I-10). Did 70 mph early on staying with trucks then pushed a bit faster thru west TX, but decided to slow down on last 2 days to 65-67 in NM and AZ. Gas mileage significantly improves at slower speeds and entire drive experience just much better around 65 for us and our 3/4 ton Hemi RAM. I think 65-67 will work best for us.
