Surge Protector

I use an external surge protector because we don’t have an internal one.  The one I hang on the power pole is our only protection.  There has been some discussion about using one with the Oliver installed protection and I think a few are doing it and can offer some thoughts.  Mike

Is anyone using an external surge protector? I have one from my previous camper. I tried it and my Ollie was getting NO POWER!  Any Ideas?

We need to know specifics about your trailer ie model, year, hull #, etc. These should be added to your signature in your profile so they show up in each of your posts.

Does your trailer have the onboard EMS?

Your surge protector is under the rear dinette seat. That's just the box with the electronics. You also have an electronic readout screen inside the rear cabinet, streetside. It displays codes that mean different things. Check out the manual for the code definitions and other operating info. It seems to be a competent surge protector, and you won't need any others.
