MarkC
Picked up our trailer in September and we are throughly enjoying the whole experience. People, places, and learning about RV living. We are heading to Arizona this January and decided to do the Quartzide experience. Saw a Mike and Carol post about Dome Rock area camping. Wondering if Oliver owners get together at a certain spot?

As I understand it, the basic answer to your question is - YES. You may want to PM Mike & Carol and/or ScubaRx for more details. Wish I was going too! Moderators Mike and Carol Posted December 14, 2022 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2022 Yes, Dome Rock is the spot. If you exit I-10 where the Love’s is and then continue on the access road west on the south side of the freeway a few miles you’ll get to the Dome Rock area. It’s a big chunk of desert but easy to drive around looking for other Oliver owners. We’ll be in Arizona in January as well, not sure if/when we might visit Quartzsite. There should also be a bunch of other fiberglass trailers there as well. I’ll post a few pics so you can get an idea of the area. Moderators Mike and Carol Posted December 14, 2022 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2022 One of the main drags at Dome Rock, Olivers congregating, owners in the middle of the avenue exchanging information. Grocery shopping in town. Sunset in the desert. Hiking up to Dome Rock. You get to pick your own spot. I talked to one Canadian woman who goes there every winter to get out of the snow and cold of Canada. I want to try that with our Ollie. John The area called Dome Rock is about 4 miles due West of Quartzsite. It is a mile or so South of I-10 (you can see it in the distance.) This is where we'll all be camped. You're actually closer to Quartzsite coming from Oregon than we are coming from Mississippi. You should plan on coming down. We usually go over to Death Valley NP and/or Joshua Tree for a few days. It's actually pretty pleasant (temperature wise) that time of the year. 2 Steve, Tali and our dog Rocky plus our beloved Storm, Lucy, Maggie and Reacher (all waiting at the Rainbow Bridge) 2008 Legacy Elite I - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #026 | 2014 Legacy Elite II - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #050 | 2022 Silverado High Country 3500HD SRW Diesel 4x4
AZ Wonderer
I read on an Escape Trailers Facebook group that the annual fiberglass trailer meet-up will be at Dome Rock Feb 6-12, 2023. I hope to be there at least a few of those days.
