Finally! After several long months, the wife and I are driving down from Alaska to take delivery of our Oliver. We think we have thought of everything, but as you guys know, there is always something that we will forget. So, what items and/or preparation would you guys suggest? This is our first foray into travel trailers, and I’m hoping our last as I like to think I research well. We have a new TV (sadly, I sold our TRD Pro Tacoma camping rig), and are loving it thus far (F250). We purchased a generator for the soft start, as we plan on boondocking as much as possible, and also several hanging doo-dads for the bathroom supplies. Dishware, bedding, and other homely items handled by my wife. Leveling blocks, sewer hose, water filter and grill handled by me. My wife and I are taking a month off to facilitate the drive from Alaska and back with stops in Moab and Montana. Any other ideas and routes will be considered! We are taking an ATV, so ATV friendly boondocking suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This forum has been a wealth of knowledge and I have read nearly every corner of it over the last 6 month (lots of down time as I’m a MEDEVAC pilot). Appreciate it all! Pic of new tow vehicle and Bed deck I just installed....I think this will be a great adventure!2 points

There you go. If you need help figuring out how to edit pics, tell us what you are using to take them. If an iPhone or similar, it is super easy. I love your tow setup, that will work great. I am not sure about leaving the top up on the Can Am for that many miles, is there a tight fitting tonneau that would protect it and also lower the profile? Do you plan to install larger mudflaps on the Ford? Those factory ones are definitely adequate for such an epic trip.... You will love Moab. Any of the trails outside the parks will be fair game. Just be sure your UTV is street legal if you want to tool around on roads, and keep the speed way down. The White Rim Road in Canyonlands is simply stunning, but you can’t drive your toy on it, but you could rent a Wrangler for a day, and camp overnight if you bring the gear and bags. You can only camp at designated spots along the White Rim, and reservations are essential. http://www.discovermoab.com/atv.htm Tell us what you like to do, and that will help..... we were at Moab in 2012 and I still have absolutely vivid memories. What a great place to visit, when it is not too warm. White Rim pics: Overnight visitor tracks on the rear bumper: John Davies Spokane WA2 points

Just to clarify, I do not have the Zamp system and I have a DC compressor fridge, so my questions are just out of curiosity. If your display shows power usage, how much did you find that a day of fridge use consumed? What were the environmental conditions during your test, outside inside temps, I take it you just switched an already chilled fridge to DC only? It is definitely interesting, as the amount of power required for DC to generate to the heat needed to run the ammonia process should be fairly sizable. So, if nothing is running, what do you find the max output of the Zamp system to be? Thanks Edit: Just came across this2 points

This thread won't have much How To info, mostly pictures. The two aluminum arms were installed using the same methods described in this thread - refer to that if you have questions. ... http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/how-to-stone-stomper-gravel-guard/ Note: The steel subframe should be electrically isolated from the aluminum arms as much as practical. I used stainless hardware and bedded the two parts in a thick layer of 3M 4000 Adhesive Sealant. The flaps are universal ones, 12 inch by 18 inch, that I found at a local ranch supply for $18. The size was perfect, all I had to do was notch the inside to clear the hull. They are this same brand but the embossed pattern is a little different: ... https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0002MA68M/?coliid=I1N0SYMJAAHKPN&colid=1X5H11EH41351&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it I mocked up a flap using cardboard to mark the cutout.1 point

We use DC when driving but otherwise always propane. Good to know the Zamp solar can handle the load for a few hours if I forget to switch over ?.1 point

Add 2 more humans for zip line level two! What every time works for the group is good by us. This will be our first rally and first zip line! Can’t wait to meet everyone :) Yvonne & Doug1 point

Matt - it appears that we have at least 6 humans (sorry, but I'm not counting Boskar) that have expressed interest in zip lining. Are you or someone else planning on getting a reservation(s) with the Park for this activity or is it up to the individuals or what's the plan? Has the Park given any indication of a change in pricing if there are "x" number of participants like you have negotiated with the golf? Bill1 point

Yes Level 2 is actually Levels 1 & 2. In the group that you are zip lining with you will have some that could be doing only Level 1 and some doing both Levels. Those only doing Level 1 will get off at the midway point. It's not a far walk back to starting point or lodge from the end of Level 1. The end of Level 2 is a little longer walk but not bad.1 point
