  1. Was there any problems, or concerns, in reattaching the front of the vanity? What did you use to remove the old caulking? And what product did you use when you put it back on?
  2. Hook up and take a ride. A short trip at about 60 mph should clean off any debris?
  3. Welcome from #211. Where is your home base?
  4. Doesn't that coiled up under there keep the shower floor warm? Makes midnight visits more comfortable.
  5. My wife hums in her sleep. I want to say that is really annoying, but I know better..
  6. I think that they were able to pack so many functional features into 7 feet width is the best feature of all. A little turn I can see my tires, and marker lights. Going down the road everything looks like a normal drive, until I look in the rearview mirror. Then all of a sudden there is a big white object tailgating me.
  7. Took the spare tire cover off to polish ( just easier). Checked the bar/ring that holds the spare tire on. It was loose. Took two full turns to snug it up. I know I looked at it last Spring and it was tight. We have added this to our Spring "wake-up" list...
  8. We have been pulling our 2017, since 2017, with a 2500 gas Ram. It has been more than adequate and quite comfortable. Easiest unit we have ever winterized. Have backed it down a narrow mountain road when the Garmin didn't know the rain had washed out the road. Have had a meal and an extended "nap" in a warm unit, at a rest area, when a sudden ice/sleet/snow storm came barreling through. Have camped at a small city park, next to a stone building with a working water wheel. No room for bigger units. I have seen and owned SOBs (some other brands) and would never go back. Welcome from Maine and hull #211. Ask any question, and weigh your answers. Some k but even be correct. See you around a campfire someplace...
  9. Welcome from Maine and hull #211. Remember two things; Most of the quiet quant places are at least ten miles from the Interstate, and most Interstates look alike.
  10. Actually I taught that class. Evidently you missed the part that this only works in going forward mode. It seems that if you accelerate to much in the going back mode, you end up in the future...
  11. Once I backed down a narrow mountain road, because the Garmin didn't know the road was washed out. With the backup camera and no wobbling mirror extenders I was glad the Oliver was no wider. Guess I am glad when going down some narrow streets and in traffic too.
  12. Either way, in this particular application, it is not recommended that one use their lips to see if the one way valve is working.
  13. A larger ref. means a larger black tank? Because it holds more beer?
  14. Watch out for low New England (and others) low bridges. High winds and passing semis are also a concern. Where do you store your chairs? Do you only cook inside? Would and where do you store firewood? See one equipped like you would want it. Put your hand on the back corner. Can you wiggle it enough that the tires flex? What would that flex be like on the highway? Can you unload it quick enough to go haul the boat, if that became necessary?
  15. Hold the plug upside down and shake. Get used to storing it upside down too. A dielectric spray would not hurt. Long term could cause corrosion and hence a poor connection. ( I use WD40). We have found that the plug will fit between the frame and the plastic counts cover. We used to hang it over the tounge in the winter too. Until one year soft fluffy snow built up and the wind caused my tailights to come on. it was a head scratcher at first, but the solution was easy...
  16. I agree with leaving a hose connected to the black discharge pipe. We do put a cap on the hose. It is easier to get the hose out than to connect it. If there is every any "drips" collecting in the hose at the next discharge just hold the hose up when removing the cap. If your awning has the were with all to tip, slant it to the sIde. Actually tip it to the rear so that you can still open your door. Decals. So many choices, and a chance to be unique. (As you might have noticed a lot of Olivers tend to look a lot alike). If you can start the peel process you can probably get the decals off. A heat gun ( hair dryer) will help. Now the exact decal on your TV is probably available at a dealer, but I would guess that a local sign shop is cheaper and probably b even better at installing. I would look for one that does police cars, commercial vehicles, and such as they are use to longer larger vehicles. What are you thinking of putting on the front? It is a lot easier to recognize someone closing at 140 mph on the interstate if they have a unique decal...
  17. That's exactly why we got the Oliver. Every time we took off with the helicopter it caused white caps in the hot tub. White caps in the hot tub caused the bikinis to fluff up. When the bikinis fluffed up the neighbor girls would get out and run home. To keep peace in the neighborhood we got the Oliver. Takes less fuel than the helicopter as a bonus...
  18. That's a tough one because fire extinguishers are supposed to be mounted by the exit. The idea is, you move to the exit to get the extinguisher and if the extinguisher doesn't work you now have the door behind you to escape. There is plenty of room in that area to mount the extinguisher. And plenty of options to do so. Easy access to the extinguisher will be a top priority. Want it easy to get to from outside as well.
  19. Clever idea! Will probably happen. Just haven't figured out how to keep it stationary while going down the road. Think the solution will depend on when I find the right waste receptacle...
  20. I would move the fire extinguisher and put a small half in/half out waste basket.
  21. The wall is still encapsulated plywood in our 2017. No problems, at least in the situation...
  22. I have sold "Branded" merchandise before, and at a profit. It was fun to see couples buy matching hats, vests, tee shirts, and even coffee cups. The hats and garments were not the cheap stuff. The hats were not the mesh ones gramps used to wear either. The real value is not the mark-up, but it is nice to cover expenses. The real value is the cult like following that that Branded item generates. Have you ever seen an L.L.Bean boot, sweatshirt, or hat? If you did you recognized it, and you didn't even know where it was except maybe in Maine and they had a catalog? And the funny part is the same exact sweartshirt as in the catalog, at a store across the street sells for full retail at half the cost. The only difference is the logo. As someone must realize is that the only rational shopper is in the mind of an astute marketing department with a clever ad...
  23. They really have to be made to understand that 'Branded' merchandise is one of the cheapest forms of advertising there is. And it is worn and displayed, by enthusiasts, right in the middle of their target audience. The items start a conversation. The conversations turn to a showing. The showing turns to a trip to Tennessee. We all know how it works. We been there. We have made the trip...
  24. I shudder to think why you might need a ladder at the dump station!
