  1. Hello Ken, Didn’t go inside so I wouldn’t have seen yours. We were able to pick our OEII up 2 weeks before our scheduled date earlier this year. It was ready and we live 2.5 hours from the factory so we picked it up early. We went to see it somewhere around mid production and got to see it on the production line. It was hard to see it but not take it home.
  2. I like the fittings. But one came off in my hand while setting up in the dark one evening. And most Allen wrench sets don’t have the 1/2 inch size. I tightened mine up and put a tool in my box to tighten them up should it happen again. I’d rather have a tool and not need it than need it and not have it.
  3. Anyone see theirs? Sixteen behind the factory. Three outside the sales office (300, 302, 333, not pictured). One more Elite just rolled out on the way to the sales office I think.
  4. These fittings can come off. When they do you will need to carefully remove the strainer washer and use a 1/2 inch hex key (Allen wrench) to reinstall. It only needs to be snugged up because there is a rubber washer on the back side. A bolt with a 1/2 inch head and 2 jam nuts will also work. Might be wise to check them when convenient rather than replace them when inconvenient.
  5. I wonder if you might remove the cartridge and see if there is a small piece of something keeping it from sealing. When you reassemble snug that brass ring up a little tighter. I haven’t had any experience with the ceramic cartridges but I have fixed a leaky Delta ball and socket type faucet this way.
  6. Would you be better off using a small burr in a Dremel to drill or enlarge holes? Would this reduce the tendency to chip the gel coat?
  7. Well those walls do have a plywood core. I looked at the cutout for the speaker in the closet per KountryKamper’s suggestion. You can actually see the plywood all the way around the cutout for the closet door frame. The total thickness of this wall is “real close” to 1/2 inch.
  8. Tell me more about these walls. How thick is the fiberglass and how much space is there between the walls? I can remove a screw somewhere and use a wire to measure the spacing but what have you seen on your Oliver?
  9. My 2018 OEII is sitting level on a level shop floor. Here is a picture of the hitch. I would say 23.5 inches from ground to top of a 2 inch ball would be correct.
  10. Looks good. Where did you get the paper towel holder and what is the cargo net above the exit?
  11. Thanks Mark. I know those folks over at G&H. I may run it by Barry and see what he can do it for. I made these two with a hacksaw, files and emery cloth. Certainly wouldn't want to make many that way.
  12. I have an idea. Let me stink on it a little. How secure do you want it? Fort Knox secure or just slow them down a while secure?
  13. It didn't take us long to see the benefit of having a screen door handle but I couldn't bring myself to drill holes in my screen door so I made these plates to install the handle without drilling. I used 1/8 inch X 1 inch aluminum and drilled and tapped for #8-32 X 3/8 SS screws. The plates "rotate" into place with the hook at the bottom fitting into the cross bar of the door to keep the assembly from sliding up in the door channel. I shortened the handle tube to 19-13/16 inches, slid the end caps on and attached the assembly to the adapter plates. [attachment file=127613] I know, a lot of trouble to go to when I could have just drilled the holes and been done with it but I think it makes for a cleaner installation.
  14. It's easier to remove and install the spare tire cover if you stick something about 2-1/2 inches long in the spot where we used to put our gas cap (while filling up) when the gas fill tube was located under the car's license plate (years ago).
  15. That's what I'm looking for. Thanks.
  16. I also removed that spring pin in the hole at the top of the crank and cleaned up the edges of the hole with a file. That spring pin would be hard on your hand if you had to use that manual crank. Edit: Don’t remove that spring pin. It’s there for a reason.
  17. Inserted into content: It took a couple of tries but this worked. I had to edit the picture but it posted well. Thanks again John, Bill
  18. Thanks John. I'm using an iPhone 7 on Verizon. Just rebooted and still have squashed pictures. I need to do an update. I have an iPad also and a Verizon Jetpack hotspot so I will try to post pictures using those. Do you resize or crop your pictures or do you just upload straight from your photo library?
  19. There are (2) each #10-32 acorn nuts, #10 split lockwashers and M5 flat washers holding the plastic "motor sleeve" on the front jack on (2) #10-32 threaded studs. The problem with this is that you can't tighten these nuts against anything solid to make the lockwashers work well. Remove the motor sleeve and you will see what I mean. One of my acorn nuts was missing after pulling the trailer 132 miles home from the factory. I replaced these acorn nuts and lockwashers with #10-32 nyloc nuts. Don't over tighten these nuts or you may break the plastic motor sleeve. Just run them in until you can't move the motor sleeve up or down anymore.
  20. How do I add pictures to my posts? I am using an iPhone to take pictures and access this forum. When I try to add pictures they are "squashed " as John E Davies put it in his unanswered post regarding this same question.
  21. I tried the search function but couldn't find an answer. What is the brand of the towel hook and towel bar that Oliver is currently putting in our trailers?
  22. I have worn KountryKamper out asking him questions (although he is welcome to answer also) so I will give him a break and ask you all some. What do you use to prop the freezer and refrigerator door open when not in use?
  23. I hope this isn't a repost. The crank to manually operate the front jack is too short to use with the propane tank cover in place. A regular 3/8 inch drive ratchet extension turned around works as an extension for the manual crank. A 6 inch extension will work but a longer one will allow the crank to clear the propane cover.
  24. When camping with water connection and leaving camper unattended for the day, should you close hydrant and release pressure inside the camper?
  25. Open your closet door and carefully check the ends of the bolts that secure the fire extinguisher bracket to the door. Mine had been shortened with a cutoff wheel that left a small burr that snagged some clothes in the closet.
